El hotel está convenientemente ubicado en la calle Dongyue, no muy lejos del Templo Dai. We stayed here during our Chinese New Year trip and had a wonderful experience.
The location is excellent. It is right next to Suochengli and near Wanda Mall, which makes everything very convenient. Traveling to other attractions in Yantai is also easy.
The room was clean and comfortable, and we were lucky to have a sea view room. The view really made our stay more enjoyable.
On Chinese New Year’s Eve, we had our reunion dinner at the hotel restaurant. Although we finished quite late, the staff remained professional and friendly throughout. We truly appreciate the team who served us that night.
Highly recommended for families and holiday stays.

1)Location: about 8 minutes walk to Hongmen , a starting point to walk up Taishan Mountains. But there is a shorter way about 5 minutes walk from the hotel that led one up Taishan. Many local shops and eateries around the area.
2) A value for money at this hotel ; spacious room and clean environment and they provide breakfast on request.
3) The service by the owner and parent were excellent. Providing interesting information around the area.

Excellent stay experience. A hotel brand stands true for its reputation. My request for early check in was considered without any hassle. Was pleasantly surprised especially after a long journey. Could not use other services such as spa, gym etc. breakfast varied and really delicious ! Loved the design of room balcony and the view very much ! In room dining was quick and pleasant.

Nos alojamos recientemente en este hotel y quedamos impresionados con muchos aspectos de nuestra experiencia. La habitación es muy espaciosa y está bien equipada con todo lo necesario, excepto, quizás, una tetera para preparar té. Sin embargo, las bebidas de cortesía en la nevera compensaron con creces esta pequeña incomodidad.
Cada día, el personal del hotel nos sorprendía con un pequeño obsequio, lo que nos hizo sentir realmente cálidos y bienvenidos. Durante nuestra estancia, nos deleitamos con la preciosa decoración navideña que le dio un toque festivo al ambiente.
Si bien la ubicación puede no ser ideal para quienes dependen del metro, el hotel ofrece un cómodo servicio de recogida desde la estación. Además, hay paradas de autobús cerca, lo que permite un fácil acceso al centro de la ciudad en 20 minutos.
El desayuno buffet es excepcional, con una amplia variedad de platos occidentales y chinos, incluyendo platos calientes, platos fríos e incluso postres. Tardamos tres días en probar todas las deliciosas opciones disponibles.
Lo que realmente distingue a este hotel es su excelente servicio. El personal es increíblemente amable y proactivo para atender cualquier necesidad. En general, nuestra estancia fue fantástica y recomendaríamos este hotel a otras personas.

We always stay here when we visit Qingdao. Usually, I give everything 5 stars. This time, 3 stars for cleanliness.
Dusty floor, didn’t seem that it had been vacuumed properly. Window didn’t open either. Very hot inside.
However, staff service was excellent. Front desk gave a fan and an air purifier and repeatedly apologised for the situation which was much appreciated.

Breakfast was decent but it used to be much better. There used to be more options and fresher. Now, nothing spectacular.

One of my favourite hotels in China in an incredible city! It fits beautifully into the ancient city atmosphere and is close to many good things. The staff are very friendly too and welcoming for foreigners! An amazing hotel, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Jinan!

CCallum McNeill-KeayMy recent stay at the Grand Barony Qingdao Airport Hotel in a Deluxe Queen Room was a well-rounded and positive experience, particularly suited to travelers seeking convenience, comfort, and efficiency near the airport.
One of the hotel’s strongest advantages is its location. Being situated close to Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport makes it an ideal choice for transit passengers or those with early departures or late arrivals. The transfer process was straightforward, and the proximity significantly reduced travel-related stress.
The Deluxe Queen Room itself was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was comfortable, and the room was well-maintained, with clean linens, a tidy bathroom, and adequate amenities. The layout felt functional rather than overly luxurious, but it delivered exactly what one would expect from an airport hotel in this category. Sound insulation was reasonably effective; despite the airport location, noise levels were minimal and did not disrupt rest.
Service throughout the stay was professional and efficient, with a level of attentiveness that stood out in the smaller details. In particular, the duty manager, Ali, made a strong impression through his proactive hospitality. As a welcome gesture, he personally brought a selection of local Shandong and Qingdao soft drinks to my room, which was a thoughtful and culturally considerate touch. This small act added a personal dimension to the stay and reflected a genuine commitment to guest experience beyond standard service expectations.
Facilities appeared comprehensive, though my stay was brief and primarily focused on rest rather than exploring all offerings. The lobby and common areas were well presented, creating a calm and organised first impression. Dining options were convenient, and while not exceptional, they were satisfactory in quality and variety for a short stay.
In terms of value, the hotel performs strongly. It delivers reliability, cleanliness, and comfort without unnecessary extravagance. For travelers prioritising practicality, convenience, and a good night’s sleep before or after a flight, it is a solid choice.
Overall, the Grand Barony Qingdao Airport Hotel provides a balanced blend of efficiency, comfort, and accessibility. The attentive service, highlighted by small but meaningful gestures from staff such as Ali, elevates the experience and reinforces the hotel’s reputation as a high-quality and dependable airport accommodation option.

Su atención al cliente es impecable y su amabilidad es inagotable. El hotel ofrece alojamiento de excelente calidad, con camas y almohadas cómodas, suelos limpios y un baño completamente equipado. MMasai781Our second time visiting Qingdao as a family, and omwe had a great stay at Shangri-La Qingdao.
The hotel is an excellent choice for families thanks to its very family-friendly environment and top-tier location. It’s conveniently situated right next to popular spots like MixC Mall, so there’s no stress about where to go—only the fun challenge of deciding what to eat among the many restaurant options!
The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches for children, such as a baby crib, kids’ slippers, and shampoo/lotion amenities—definitely a big plus for families traveling with toddlers.
The only disappointment during our stay was related to a special request. I had emailed the hotel in advance asking for a small room decoration for our wedding anniversary, and they had confirmed it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t prepared upon our arrival, which was quite disappointing as I had planned it as a surprise for my wife. After speaking with reception, they kindly arranged a small cake, which we appreciated, but it still felt like a slight letdown.
That said, we would really like to recognize one outstanding housekeeping staff member: 刘建鑫.
He truly made a difference during our stay. Not only did he politely check to ensure we were not in the room before entering—respecting our privacy—but he also noticed a faulty bed guard and replaced it proactively without us even mentioning it. That level of initiative and care is what I consider top-tier service. 刘建鑫，感谢你啦！！
Breakfast offered a wide and diverse selection, ranging from Western to Eastern cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Dinner, however, was just average for our taste (a personal preference).
Overall, if you’re traveling with your family—especially with children—I highly recommend Shangri-La Qingdao.

8852 Serendipitous LifeOverall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained.
To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language.
The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads.
There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you.
Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute
The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year.
For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.

Desde el momento en que entré al vestíbulo, pude sentir el estilo y la calidez del hotel. El personal de recepción fue muy eficiente y el registro fue especialmente sencillo. Además, tenían una sonrisa amable, lo que hizo que la gente se sintiera muy cómoda al instante.
La habitación era aún más increíble. No solo era espaciosa y luminosa, sino que la higiene era excepcionalmente buena. Las sábanas y los edredones estaban limpios y no había polvo en las esquinas. Las instalaciones también eran muy nuevas: el aire acondicionado enfriaba y calentaba muy rápido, el suministro de agua caliente era estable y el baño era particularmente cómodo. Lo más sorprendente fue el efecto de aislamiento acústico. Era tranquilo por la noche y dormí muy bien.
El desayuno era particularmente variado, tanto chino como occidental, con ingredientes frescos y un sabor excelente, ideal para todos los gustos. El personal también fue muy entusiasta al momento del check-out, y todo el proceso hizo que todos se sintieran muy considerados.
En resumen, ya sea para un viaje de negocios o para un alojamiento turístico, esta es una excelente opción. ¡Lo he incluido en mi lista permanente y lo recomiendo encarecidamente a todos!

AAnonymous1337We arrived quite late but everything was already ready for us upon check-in. We got a welcoming drink and had a room conveniently close to the lobby (where you can get free beers at specific times during the day/evening). The room is spacious, and even came with a sitting area outside. A very special thanks to Quentin and Felix for making us comfomtable on the day of checkout where they provided us with everything while we waited before going to the train station. They have been really genorous beyond expectations. Also thanks to 吕凯乐 for the good service :)
