I went to the Ciêla Resort And Spa in Lusaka during a 9-hour layover on September 20, 2024. I thought it would be a nice place to kill time by getting a spa treatment and grabbing a good meal before a red eye flight. The resort was beautiful, the spa treatment was nice and the meal at The Brewery was much nicer than any options at the airport or on an airplane. That said, I was very disappointed to discover I had been charged twice for the spa treatment at the onsite spa and twice for my meal at The Brewery Restaurant. At the spa, I was told my credit card didn't go through the first time and asked to try again. At The Brewery restaurant, I was shown the credit card machine that said failed, however since I was connected to the wifi there, I received a text saying my credit card had been charged. I said as much to the service person who went to get the manager. The manager said it failed, possibly due to the power issues, and that the charge would be reversed because it failed. I was asked to try again so I used a different credit card. I noticed on my layover in Dubai that I was sent two text messages about my credit card being charged at the spa at the Ciêla Resort. Once I got home, I checked my online statement and saw the duplicate charge at the Spa. I tried calling the spa but couldn't reach anyone. The person at the front desk said I had to speak to someone at the spa. Being tired from my travels home and feeling the jet lag, I gave up at that time. I looked for an email address or another way to reach someone to no avail. I was left to hope the Ciêla Resort would notice the error and correct it on their own. As I was checking my credit card statements today to pay my bills, I found I was indeed charged twice at both places I went within the Ciêla Resort And Spa. With no way to contact or speak to anyone at the hotel, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Beware of being told your credit card didn't work and being asked to try again, don't use a debit card to pay for anything at the resort and check your credit card statement closely when you get home. What I thought was a good idea and a place to go to kill time during a long layover has become a headache. Something is shady about this facility and I won't return to this resort on my next trip to Zambia. Thankfully, this is the only bad thing I can say about my 2.5 week trip to Zambia.

Es raro raro, así es como describiría mi estancia en Mika- Aparentemente no toman reservas de viaje, pero todavía están en la aplicación y tienen una serie de comentarios de la gente! ¡El hotel está muy cerca del aeropuerto, pero no se queda aquí por más tiempo que es necesario! ¡No reservar el traslado del aeropuerto es extorsión! ¡Baja la aplicación ULENDO y reserva un taxi con ellos! Mika estaba cargando 300 PP - ¡Tenemos el taxi para 115 en total! La cama estaba cómoda, la habitación era relativamente limpia pero muy meh en general - Pictured es el restaurante absolutamente embalado 🤭

Vivía aquí 2 noches en Lusaka. La ubicación en el centro, al centro comercial Levy Mall, al banco, a la oficina del gobierno, etc. Está muy cómoda. La sala y el restaurante son excelentes (sabor de carne). La habitación es pequeña, puede ser decorada con más, pero en general puede. La dirección del corredor es contaminada y necesita ser reemplazada. El personal es muy amable y nos ayuda a visitar a Lusaka.

El servicio está en el lugar, el personal es más amigable, pero algunas habitaciones tienen sopa, y el suministro de agua caliente es insuficiente, la cocina de agua es casi la mitad de la quemada, el aire acondicionado es muy ruido, el desayuno es bueno

From the moment I arrived the staff really stood out as wanting to meet my needs/expectations (a bit of an early check in) without any fuss or bother. I really found the room to be excellent with that ”classis lovely crisp linen” feeling as soon as I climbed into my large bed after a very long flight to get to Lusaka. Absolutely on my ”go back to list” for my next visit to Lusaka

I had two days to kill in Zambia and decided to check in at Lilayi Lodge after a recommendation by a colleague. I am so glad I did. Everything at the Lodge are top notch. The quality of construction of the lodges is very high, and then, the chef prepares excellent food. Very well-balanced flavors. Also, I am a Scotch Whisky fan and they have a good selection. Highly recommended.

I had an incredible stay at the Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel, thanks to the outstanding service from the team! Flyness, the receptionist, was a star! She made my booking and check-in process seamless and efficient. Her warm welcome and prompt service set the tone for a fantastic stay. Special mentions to Nalwendo, the porter, who greeted me with a smile and showed me to my room with ease. Innocent from security was also very friendly and ensured my safety throughout my stay. The hotel's staff truly go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. I highly recommend Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and a wonderful stay. The room was Excellent and service was good. Taj Pamodzi staff are very well coming and able to coordinate with EPICURE Signature staff with regards to bookings , checking in and out for their members. All was done on time. The pillows are indeed the fluffiest I have come across let alone the soft and comfy mattress!The room was just sparkling clean except that the one sliding glass door to the bath area insnt there making water to spill to the toilet area and nearly onto the passage.

Sadly only had a one night stay. Pick up from the airport was perfect. On time professional and very safe. The hotel was beautiful. Fully appointed rooms with lots of room service was very good. Breakfast was good and the pool and gardens were really lovely location very good. Would stay again in a heart beat.
