«We stayed at this hotel for one night. While the property is quite old and the décor and furnishings are noticeably dated, the room was impeccably clean. I was able to walk barefoot in the room without any discomfort, which reflects the hotel’s strong cleanliness standards. The location is one of the hotel’s highlights, situated beautifully along Hikkaduwa Beach with plenty of beach chairs and sunbeds available for guests. Breakfast and dinner were satisfactory, though not particularly outstanding. The service was very good, with warm, friendly, and attentive hospitality, which is consistent with the high standard of service generally found in Sri Lanka. The hotel was also very kind in allowing our driver to stay as well, which was a thoughtful and generous gesture. Overall, it was a pleasant beachfront stay with excellent cleanliness and service, despite the aging facilities.»

«Apparently it’s a nice hotel with prime location and unique layout, price of which speaks for itself. However, services and amenities do not necessarily match the infrastructure of this hotel. We wanted to book a walk tour in the property as advertised by the hotel (at the afternoon slot) but got informed that all tour guides were not available. We got asked so many times to book a safari trip which costs 3 times than any other agencies. We wanted to check out early for the morning safari but no one came to pick us up (as you are not allowed to walk alone after sunset) for almost 20 minutes, almost causing a significant delay to our plan. All in all - nice but never gonna come back nor would I recommend to others.»

Estabamos en la 4 suite para el tercer piso y es realmente el mejor hotel en Sri. El hotel vale su dinero, no la red ordinaria y no mató a la localidad. Vamos a estar aquí 100% Aaaaaa y en el tercer piso un encantador patio con liegue, sólo enorme, este bono es sólo una pistola»

«Мы — три подруги, провели четыре ночи в апартаментах этого отеля в ноябре 2026 года. Это был завершающий пункт нашего путешествия по Шри-Ланке перед возвращением домой. Возможно, если бы мы остались дольше, впечатления были бы другими, но для короткого пребывания нам понравилось абсолютно всё. По меркам Шри-Ланки отель очень достойный. Завтраки хорошие, хотя и однообразные, но есть возможность чередовать европейское и местное меню. Один раз ужинали в отеле — всё было вкусно. Большой плюс — наличие бассейна, ведь плавать в океане рядом практически невозможно. При необходимости можно воспользоваться зонтами от дождя (нам они пригодились пару раз). Персонал очень отзывчивый и доброжелательный: нам организовали поездки в массажный салон и помогли обменять валюту. Об отеле остались только положительные воспоминания. С удовольствием вернёмся сюда снова, если будем путешествовать по Шри-Ланке!»

«From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff at the reception desk, and our positive impression continued when we saw our room. It was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean and a perfect space to relax in. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm dipped when we looked out the window. We had eagerly anticipated the sea view we booked, but found ourselves on the first floor looking directly onto the main path to the restaurant. The lack of both a view and privacy was a real disappointment. The challenges were compounded by a local festival taking place during our stay. This rendered the beach unusable due to the sheer volume of people. Worse, the road closures made leaving the hotel a logistical headache, leaving us feeling a bit trapped. A final frustration was discovering there were no shops nearby and no convenience store in the hotel itself, so be sure to pack everything you might need. In summary, while we can't fault the hotel on its cleanliness or the friendliness of its staff, the experience was significantly hampered by the room mix-up and the festival chaos. It wasn’t a bad stay, but it was far from the relaxing getaway we had planned.»

«Me encantó la ubicación, a pocos pasos del faro de Galle. Pero lo que más me gustó fueron los interiores modernos de este edificio Art Déco. Nuestra habitación estaba bien diseñada y limpia, con bañera y un precioso acabado de mármol. Personalmente, la cama me pareció una de las más cómodas en las que dormí durante mi semana en Sri Lanka. También disfruté de las vistas del atardecer desde el bar de la azotea y de la piscina, que, aunque un poco pequeña, era ideal para refrescarse después de explorar el casco antiguo a pie. Mi única observación sería que los artículos de ducha no estaban bien colocados y se podían resbalar fácilmente. El desayuno ofrecía la opción de platos locales (con reserva previa) o platos occidentales, que estaban deliciosos. Sin duda, uno de los mejores momentos de nuestra estancia en Sri Lanka.»

«Mi viaje a Sri Lanka en el Hotel RIU fue increíble. Era la primera vez que reservaba un paquete Todo Incluido y no tenía muy claro qué esperar, pero en general, la experiencia superó mis expectativas. Hubo algunos aspectos que podrían mejorarse. La comida, por ejemplo, me pareció de baja calidad, con pocas opciones para una dieta saludable. El gimnasio era bastante pequeño, con poco equipamiento, y sería genial que se ampliara el horario para dar cabida a más huéspedes durante el día. Aun así, el servicio fue excepcional. El personal fue atento y profesional, siempre anticipándose a las necesidades de los huéspedes, especialmente en los restaurantes buffet. Por desgracia, no pudimos probar los restaurantes a la carta, ya que estaban completos y muy solicitados, algo que desconocíamos con antelación. Sin duda, nos encantaría volver cuando termine la temporada de monzones, ya que el tiempo no fue ideal durante nuestra estancia. La playa, aunque preciosa, no era segura para nadar en ese momento, lo cual fue un poco decepcionante.»

«De los más: El personal es muy sensible, a cualquier petición distraída con un sonrisa. La cocina es muy deliciosa. El desayuno es grande y también muy delicioso. Las habitaciones son limpias cuidadosamente. Excelente, limpia piscina, limpia todos los días. Una tienda de vinos muy cerca es para alguien grande más. Reunirse perfectamente, ofrecido gratis fresco. E por que quiero celebrar llegó temprano y dejado más tarde, nadie ni siquiera dijo una palabra y un bate. no se le pidió una tarifa. De los desventajas: a veces no teníamos agua fría y caliente durante varias horas, pero nos descansamos en una temporada, los restos del hotel eran pocos y posiblemente preparando para la nueva temporada.»

«We had a truly wonderful stay at Heritance Ahungalla, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and the fresh juices served upon arrival were very refreshing after the journey. The room was spotlessly clean, tidy, spacious, and well equipped with all the luxury amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere throughout the resort had a relaxing beachside vibe, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also used the gym, which was properly equipped with a good range of equipment. The resort has two swimming pools, and we spent most of our time at the main pool, which was absolutely massive and perfect for relaxing. The highlight of the stay was definitely the food experience. The dinner buffet was exceptional with an incredible variety of dishes. There were large selections of salads, appetizers, breads and buns, Sri Lankan specialties, international cuisine, and live cooking stations. The seafood and meat variety was especially impressive — including chicken, beef, pork, cuttlefish, prawns, fish, and many other seafood dishes, with multiple preparations for each. My personal favorite was the pork leg, which was incredibly delicious, tender, and flavorful. The dessert corner was huge, offering plenty of choices and beautifully presented sweets. After a very comfortable night’s sleep, we went for breakfast, and honestly, it was just as impressive as dinner. The breakfast buffet included a massive spread with salad stations, bakery items, fresh fruits, Sri Lankan and international breakfast options, live stations, and an amazing juice bar with around 7–8 varieties of fresh juices. They also had a dedicated cheese section, multiple yogurt options, and even 4–5 types of porridges, which was something unique and very well done. Overall, Heritance Ahungalla offers a fantastic combination of luxury, comfort, delicious food, and relaxing coastal ambience. Everything from the service to the dining and facilities was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway in Sri Lanka! 🌴✨»
