The lobby ambience was pleasant with ample spaces. We have given a great hospitality upon our arrival and check in. I did enjoy the roof top bar as well as bar by lobby. The food was pleasant with mostly are Indian food. Pastries and few other western foods are also well prepared. Am sure will stay here in my next visit.
Nice hotel and amenities (pool and gym). Good breakfast options but overcrowded and difficult to get seat. It's a bit of a walk from the Metro, but walkable to the Museums.

Good amenities, good breakfast and buffet dinners. I booked the hotel car for a day trip to Sadhguru’s Isha yoga foundation. I am impressed by the driver. He is a steady driver, knowledgeable and forthcoming in sharing his knowledge. The Chinese restaurant is great too! Overall, I find the staffs friendly and have a strong interest in fulfilling guests needs.
As always everything was good from the beginning... the check in till check out. The breakfast which wasn't quite the usual during our last stay there were totally opposite this time... understood there was a face-lift refurbishment work carried out at the restaurant the last time and as such it was excuseable..This time around the hotel had exceeded our expectation for both the service standard and eloborate buffet breakfast readied for the guests. We would like to thank all the restaurant staff in particular the restaurant manager SK Allarakha for making every morning as a start of a pleasant day with all the courteous services extended to us by him and his lovely team..This has prompted my family to celebrate my 60th birthday in the morning of 16/1/2026 before their departure for flight.Thank you for a great and courteous service shown to my family and i.We will definitely choose to stay at the TRT again the next time around. Way2go all... Cheers!
Excelente hotel en Nungambakkam, desayuno bufé complimentario, hermosas habitaciones, personal amigable, Nungambakkam es un gran barrio, con una amplia gama de restaurantes de muchos presupuestos diferentes, estación de tren en Nungambakkam es a unos 15 minutos a pie, La parada de autobús en la esquina es de aproximadamente 5 minutos a pie, fácil de encontrar taxi o servicio de rickshaw auto, el metro no está tan cerca a pie, pero un rickshaw auto a la estación de metro de Kilpauk es sólo 10 minutos. Me quedaría definitivamente aquí otra vez. Buen valor para dinero.
I was genuinely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I have been visiting Chennai for ten years and have stayed at many different properties across the city, but this was one of the least welcoming experiences I have had. The atmosphere made me feel invisible rather than cared for, and the overall hospitality fell short of what I have come to expect.
I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you are not a local tourist.
El hotel de la boutique está situado justo fuera de la ciudad principal de Tiruvanamalai, con fácil acceso al templo principal y ashrams- gran desayuno - todo puro vege.
Las habitaciones son espaciosas y limpias y las camas más cómodas que hemos tenido hasta la fecha. Teníamos una habitación con balcón que yo recomendaría. Un lindo lugar para tener una cena de luz en la noche escuchando los pájaros.
La piscina - sólo 4 salas de estar - el agua era muy fría pero visitada en enero y el tiempo era un poco frío y vacío.
The hotel offers excellent facilities and very clean, comfortable rooms. Mr Roshan from the front desk offered great service and overall the staffs are very helpful! Great location for shopping. I really enjoyed my stay!
Excellent Stay at GRT Grand Chennai
I had a wonderful stay at GRT Grand Chennai. The hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and warm hospitality. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very well maintained, making the stay extremely comfortable.
The staff Sabri,Muthu Anna Sharin and Aishek were courteous, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile, which truly enhanced the overall experience. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options catering to different tastes.The hotel’s location is very convenient, providing easy access to major areas in Chennai. Overall, GRT Grand Chennai exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city for business or leisure. I look forward to staying here again.

The breakfast daily and the staff were truly exceptional. The room was good, everything worked and in-room dining that is 24/7, was excellent. We arrived at 2am and the food, at that time, for famished travellers was truly appreciated.
Thank you Holiday Inn. You have excellent staff and hope you are valuing them. Staff farewelled us on our last day!!
I did not give five stars for cleanliness as the toilet seats could/ should be cleaned better.
UUsuario invitadoReturning to this location after eight years, I was hoping for the same 5star experience I once enjoyed. Unfortunately, it’s not quite what it used to be, and the property is beginning to show its age.
On a positive note, the staff were warm and courteous throughout—from the reception to the restaurant team. Their professionalism and friendliness was a highlight of the stay.
The restaurant manager Nazim was helpful.
However, the room was disappointing. Upon entering, there was a strong musty odor. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told all the rooms have this smell and that it would dissipate in about 10 minutes—but unfortunately, it lingered. It seems guests may simply become accustomed to it over time. Not me.. lol.
The Colony restaurant offered a decent breakfast, though dinner not that much. It felt overcrowded and cramped, and the buffet menu was not the greatest, with food quality was just average.
The key strengths of this location remain its convenient setting, friendly staff, and ample parking. With some updates and improvements, it could once again live up to its former reputation.

HHonser TanMy initial stay at this newly launched hotel was excellent. The modern facilities were in perfect working order, and the room was impeccably clean and comfortable. It was a promising start that convinced me to return.
Unfortunately, my second stay was profoundly disappointing and raised several concerns. The first room I was assigned had a strong, unpleasant odor. While I appreciate the staff promptly moving me to a second room, it only partially resolved the issue, as a faint strange smell persisted.
The second room had multiple functional problems:
* Non-Functional Power:** The USB ports and power sockets on the wall faulty.
* Inconsistent Hot Water:** The water heater took an excessively long time to heat up, disrupting my routine.
* Purify water contamination:** There's particles and oil from the purify water. It seems contamination from central filter.
Most alarmingly, at approximately 6 AM one morning, a **very loud alarm sounded from the door area.** This was highly disruptive and concerning, as it was unclear whether it was a security breach alarm or a triggered fire alarm. The lack of any immediate information or follow-up from the hotel staff regarding this incident left me feeling unsettled and concerned about the emergency protocols.
While the front desk staff were helpful in changing my room, the combination of maintenance failures and a confusing safety alarm indicates a significant lapse in operational standards. For a new hotel, this is troubling. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to ensure the safety and comfort of all future guests.
VValentine56My wife and I stayed there for 3-days in mid July, overall stay was good and pleasant and we take this opportunity to thank Mr Ramar (Manager @ Cilantro) who was not only polite and professional, he went the extra mile to help us out in a complex situation that arose on our 1st day.

But I cant say the same for the Travel Manager Mr Balaji who vehemently refused and not even seeking any other avenues or alternatives to assist us, totally
no empathy shown at all bearing the fact that we being tourists cant access to all your facilities
This we consider a major setback as its reflects horrid customer service

Exterior obviously can see lots of cracks all over building. Fayaz the front desk guy check in dunno how to smile when welcoming customers. You are saying it’s luxury collection hotel but something you have to work on it. Otherwise competitor will take over.
