«I had an absolutely delightful stay here. The rooms were spotless, provided in the rooms were coffee machines, bath robes, room slippers, hair dryers. There were basic toiletries and you could ask for vanity kits or shaving kits as well. The in room dining menu is priced very well but it is not all day, so do check with the reception. There is so much to do around the property and there’s ample parking available as well. The indoor pool is heated and can be used till 8PM. Breakfast is from 7-10AM and is a lovely spread.»

La habitación en la planta superior de la onda de calor de mayo estaba muy caliente en la noche, incluso con ventanas abiertas y el ventilador abierto, y lo alimentamos de nuevo al personal del hotel al final de la estancia. La piscina y las duchas pueden mitigar esto un poco. Aún nos disfrutamos de nuestra estadía y es una buena base para eventos en el NEC, aunque no se juega golf.»

«I have stayed here 4 times for conferences. Staff, especially in the restaurant are so friendly. Rooms clean and comfy beds. Air con in the communal areas but not in the rooms - which were pretty hot overnight.»

«Couple with dog. For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did. On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us. We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did! I have a video of the water pressure. On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!»

«Hotel is a mixture of old and new parts. We were in the original part of the hotel which was very nice, very large bathroom, nice bedroom with air con. The down side was that there was not a lift available and the steps on the stairs to the top floor bedrooms were quite narrow, but overall a lovely hotel with two car parks and the food was very nice. Would definitely stop there again.»

«What a wonderful place, everything you could want for a British country house getaway. The staff are wonderful across the board, food was excellent and the suite was cosy and well-appointed. I would just add that for a hotel of this calibre I would expect to have a well-appointed gym, but it didn’t take away from the great trip,»

«Spacious relaxing hotel set by the riverside, lovely walks through the nature reserve from the hotel and a fantastic location for sightseeing in the town centre. The pool and spa were also an added bonus and it was very relaxing sitting out under the fairy lights with the river views.»
