«Very nice scenic, good for couples or family to relax, enjoy the nature and the sun. Restaurant’s food is in good quality. Good selection of drinks. Room was a bit old with old carpet and bed. Probably need renovation. Evaluator not working so we need to take the stairs with our luggage’s.»

«We enjoyed our stayed as a family but the service and food in the buffet style restaurant at night was very poor as food was cold and we were finished eating before we received our drinks. We eventually managed to speak to a manager about it. However, we have stayed before and ate in other restaurants and they were good. Upgrades to winter garden bar were nice but again service for drinks very slow. Overall a 6.5/10 stay.»

«On arrival we were allocated a very small, went back to reception and this was sorted. My gripe is the now £10.00 per day parking charge. However you can park elsewhere for free. This will now make choosing the Angus hotel as not a first option as the main reason for going is the spa facilities unfortunately they are now getting tired and in need of TLC as is the hotel.»

«La bienvenida fue de todo menos cálida. Nos dieron dos habitaciones que no se parecían en nada a las fotos de la página web. Una tenía dos ventanas que daban directamente al tejado. La otra tenía dos ventanas cerca del techo, así que no había vistas desde ninguna de las dos. La segunda habitación parecía una celda de prisión. La habitación en sí estaba limpia, pero todo en las zonas comunes (recepción, pasillos, salón) dejaba mucho que desear y parecía viejo y sucio. Este hotel es más bien una fábrica de turistas. No se lo recomendaría a nadie que busque un lugar acogedor y agradable donde alojarse. Eso sí, es funcional.»

«This venue is really a hidden gem up to a point , the Chef and kitchen ( paticularly the Haddock and Poached Eggs at Breakfast which is Michelin Star level ) the spa and swimming pool are kept to a good standard of hygene , however there is a serious problem with service which is evident from the staff behind the bar ( Saturday 4th May to be specific ) where it was plainly evident for all of the guests seated in the lounge to witness the grief that was being given to the Restaurant Host and other waiting staff by the two individulas behind the bar who were making their life's a misery by poor attitude and unhelpfulness when rightfully they were chasing restaurant drink orders which were painfully slow on deliverance attributed totally to the ineptness of the bar staff . Its about time that Providence Hotels boss Mr Neil Hughes and Blantyre Capital and Fairtree Alternative Real Estate were made aware of this as it is not fair on the efforts made by the other staff who are being dragged down needlessly by the bar staffs under performance , ineptness and demeanour .»

«I am extremely disappointed with our recent stay at the Atholl Palace Hotel. We had booked and paid for a valley view room with a king-size bed for a special two-night stay. Our first room (215) was exactly what we had expected, until the toilet stopped flushing on the second evening, making the bathroom unusable. After reporting the fault, we were told to pack all of our belongings and come to reception to be allocated another room. By this point it was late in the evening and we were ready for bed. We were then moved to a noticeably inferior room, with no valley view, a smaller bed, no bath and overall nowhere near the standard of the room we had paid for. To make matters worse, the toilet in the replacement room also appeared to have drainage problems, gurgling and filling to the rim when flushed. I then returned to reception, only to find it unattended, eventually locating the night porter who did his best to help despite clearly being left to deal with a difficult situation. He eventually got us relocated in a suitable room but the evening was ruined by then.  The most disappointing part has been the complete lack of customer service afterwards. My wife emailed both the hotel and the manager directly to raise our concerns and give them the opportunity to resolve the matter privately. Despite this, we have received no acknowledgement or response whatsoever. Maintenance issues can happen in any hotel. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, being moved to a lower-grade room, having further maintenance issues, and then being completely ignored afterwards has left us feeling that customer satisfaction simply isn’t a priority. We expected much better from a hotel with Atholl Palace’s reputation and cannot recommend it based on our experience. “We would still welcome the opportunity for the hotel to contact us and resolve this matter.”»

«Kenmore is a beautiful location and the area is a stunning area of natural beauty in Scotland. That said, having stayed at this resort before, I was disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance of not only the lodges but the leisure centre. The lodge itself had peeling wall paper and chips around light switches and old frying pans, all things which are easily maintained and/or changed. The pool area is lovely but pool was cold and one of only two showers were out of order due to a cracked base in the ladies. This was a relatively cheap break but despite this I do feel the Kenmore club is looking a little shabby and in much need of an overhaul or at least some renovation to keep up with the neighbouring hotels and lodges which are more modern and well kept»

«Nice hotel in a great location. With good sized and clean rooms. The bar meals in the evening can be busy and they weren't able to accomodate for one night. Also, breakfast starts quite late at 8 am, so can be very busy a hectic when it does begin. A 7 am breakfast start would ease that and be helpful for business travellers and walkers with an early start.»
