I had an amazing experience here. Upon arrival, I even received a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a wonderful surprise. The hotel is brand new, and everything feels fresh and well maintained.
The owner is incredibly helpful and goes out of his way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. He’s always ready to answer questions or give advice.
He also runs his own travel agency, and through him, I visited Tashkurgan — definitely a trip worth taking and a highlight of my journey.
In short: an excellent stay with outstanding service. Highly recommended!

El servicio es especialmente cuidadoso desde la entrada. El personal ha tomado la iniciativa de ayudarnos a enviar el equipaje a la habitación, también ha introducido las instalaciones de la habitación con paciencia, ha recordado la mejor hora de la luz solar de Jinshan y la estrella, ha organizado una visita a la casa de Tajik, muy intimidad.

部屋はとても綺麗です。中国元からパキスタンルピーに両替してくれます。パブリックスペースに湯沸かし器があり、洗面台には紙コップもあります。フロントにはライター、パンなどが売ってます。パキスタン行く前に泊まったのですが、よかったので、パキスタンから帰ってきた時も泊まりました。中国イミグレから2キロないので歩いて宿までいけます。
宿の背景にある山がカッコいいです。

We absolutely love the hotel. Very spacious room and comfortable bed and comforter. There is a complimentary city pick up where we travel to a restaurant recommended by the front desk to enjoy early dinner. Thank you 戴师傅 Master Dai for his exceptional service. He was extremely warm and welcoming. Morning we enjoyed great selection of breakfast. The highlight is the Wanda Latte is absolutely delightful—smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Remember to check that out before leaving 😊

Fue mi primera vez en este B&B y la experiencia fue fantástica. Merece la calificación de 4 diamantes que recomienda Ctrip; se siente bastante lujoso. El B&B es muy nuevo y el gerente es muy amable y atento. La decoración evoca un viaje en el tiempo. El gerente nos explicó con entusiasmo el concepto arquitectónico de esta antigua ciudad y nos dijo que cada edificio tiene murales, todos del Clásico de las Montañas y los Mares. Vimos algunos y quedamos bastante impresionados. Incluso alquilamos trajes de Hanfu en recepción y nos tomamos muchas fotos. Creo que este B&B está muy bien pensado, con muchos lugares y ángulos ideales para el check-in. Se siente nuevo y agradable. La habitación también es muy buena, limpia y sencilla. Los camareros son muy amables y entusiastas, e incluso nos ayudaron con el equipaje. Le doy sin duda una calificación de cinco estrellas. ¡Recomendado! ¡Recomendado! ¡Recomendado!

el lugar mas limpio que me ha tocado en mi viaje por china. es mas diria de en la vida. se nota que cuidan los detalles de limpieza y lo agradezco mucho. Las camas y almohadas muy suaves y agradables. la habitacion aunque no tenia ventanas hacia el exterior tenia un ventanal hacia un pequeño jardin interior que daba una buena sensación

A fantastic stay. The hostel is very cosy and well maintained. A comfortable bed, air conditioning works well. Good value. I enjoyed staying there very much. If looking for the hostel from the big street, look for the direction sign as in the attached photo.

Wonderful hotel with a perfect location on the edge of the town next to the grassland with views of the mountains. Rooms are very clean and modern with everything you might need. All the staff are very helpful and friendly in particular 坎 who helped us on check in. Breakfast is delicious. Would very much recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here.

ZzedtalibOne reason for choosing Wanda Moments was to see the views of the mountains from the rooftop but it was so so. The mountain view from the room window is awesome.
Another reason is for the Oxygen supply in the room but it was so confusing. We couldn’t understand what the staff is saying. We don’t understand why only one guest get the oxygen supply. The young guys at the reception were not helpful and were hesitant to go up to the room to assist us. Our stay was all in all hectic, going up and down to get assistance.
For tourists from out of China, be warned that the food serving is huge. Rice came in a huge portion, soup in a huge bowl. It was sad to see them go to waste. Perhaps the hotel can tailor the menu down to smaller portions.

From the moment we arrived, the staff’s hospitality and service were not just comparable to world-class 5-star hotels in many ways, they exceeded them. As a non-Chinese speaking guest, I was a little nervous at first, but the team went above and beyond to make me feel completely at ease. Their cheerful smiles and genuine warmth were so heartwarming. What touched me the most? They constantly checked on my fiancée, who is vegetarian, making sure she had wonderful options at every meal. Seeing that level of care for her meant the world to me. They even carried my heavy luggage to the room❤️
Activities (both paid and free):
They have horseback riding with the on-site coach – highly recommend (yes, it's a paid service). For free activities, there’s a giant swing (reminiscent of the one in Kalajun Grassland), archery, and the most beautiful, calm animals: two incredibly cute lambs, a cow, several horses, and the sweetest little dog who will greet you. If you’re nervous around animals, don’t worry – they are the chillest, calmest creatures and will only approach if you call them.
Food: 10/10. My fiancée said it was the best meal she had in all of Xinjiang. Cooked by the wonderful Ah Po and Ah Gong, every dish felt like a loving home-cooked meal made by grandparents. There’s also an adorable cafe hut (though we didn’t get coffee – we were too busy being in awe of everything around us).
Room standards: This is where they truly shine. Air conditioning, heater, soft comfy bed, overhead curtains to open or close for stargazing, fridge, hairdryer, lighted mirror, heated toilet – and spotlessly clean. We slept like a baby.
And finally… stargazing.
This is exactly why I chose this place. We stayed up until 3 AM, completely mesmerized by a sky full of stars like I’ve never seen before. I’ll let the photos I uploaded do the talking. 😁 (I have added the settings I used on iPhone to take the photos, bring a stand and on night mode:30s with exposure adjustment and ProRAW turned on)

From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The owners go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at ease. One gesture I’ll never forget — I was rushing for a tour and hadn’t managed to press my clothes. Though there’s a laundry room available, the owner personally helped me iron them, refusing any payment. That small act of kindness stayed with me.
We’ve stayed in many retreats claiming to offer luxury, but this place redefines what true luxury means. Here, you pay a 3-star rate and receive a 5-star experience in comfort, sincerity, and service. The rooms are cleaned daily with meticulous attention to detail — we were even touched to find our own tea and coffee sachets neatly arranged by housekeeping.
Meals were another highlight. The food has that unmistakable home-cooked feel — warm, nourishing, made with care. When they learned I don’t eat beef or mutton, the kitchen prepared special dishes just for me, without a fuss. That kind of consideration is rare and deeply appreciated.
And how could I forget Tian Tian — the gentle, lovable golden retriever who quietly added to the homey atmosphere. Her presence made the stay even more special, like having a sweet companion always nearby.
MuseNomad Retreat isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to truly rest. Of all the accommodations we’ve experienced across our travels, this one touched us the most. As our three nights came to a close, I felt a genuine sadness — a quiet wish that we could stay just a little longer.
If you’re looking for a restful, heartfelt escape where nature, comfort, and kindness meet, this is the place. MuseNomad Retreat is not just somewhere we stayed — it’s somewhere we’ll remember fondly, and miss dearly.

Otra cosa que me encantó fue la variedad de actividades que se ofrecen aquí, todo era sorprendente, caballo de retorno, deliciosas comidas de pote caliente, e incluso sesiones de fotografía profesional. Fue mi primera vez que montaba un caballo, así que me sentí un poco nervioso al principio, pero el personal me cuidó tan bien y me hizo sentir seguro y cómodo durante toda la experiencia.
La cultura me impresionó mucho aquí. Me sentía tan cálida y cordial. Me encantaba su cultura. La noche, hubo un fuego de campamento donde el personal local cantó canciones y bailó juntos. Fue una experiencia tan feliz e inolvidable para mí.

Yy3nch1ngWe booked the guest rooms, which are actually a “盲盒” concept where you get whichever room is available upon check-in. Luckily, we were upgraded to wooden cabins with two rooms each. Since I booked 3 rooms, they arranged 2 wooden cabins for us.
Each cabin came with two independent bedrooms with attached bathrooms, plus a shared living room. We absolutely loved it because we could gather and spend time together in the living room. We even had steamboat there one evening, which made the stay feel extra cozy, lovely, and convenient.
There was also a huge open area in front of the cabins, but unfortunately the wind during our stay was too strong for us to sit outside. In the evening, sheep were grazing right outside our unit. On good weather days, you can even see Sayram Lake and the snow mountains directly from the cabin, which was really beautiful.
The cabins are spread across a large area, so you do need to walk to your unit, but the pathways are properly paved and easy to walk on. Our cabin was about 200m from the car park.
Special shoutout to the staff, Hemu and Dan Ni Er, who were extremely helpful. They used their small transport buggy to help move our luggage during check-in and check-out. Since we were travelling with elderly family members who had difficulty walking, they also kindly gave them rides to and from the cabin, which we truly appreciated.
Highly recommended for those looking for a different and more memorable experience compared to a normal hotel stay.

KKatKKGAfter we encountered a bad experience with a desert glamping resort in Dunhuang, we were a bit cautious with Dune when we booked it. However, after I communicated with the manager in Dune via WeChat, I was more confident as he was very polite and helpful. He helped us to booked a transfer from Turpan Airport to Dune resort. As our flight arrived Turpan in the evening, it was late when we arrived at Dune. The manager and another staff came to the entrance of the driveway to welcome us and helped us with our luggage. They took us straight to our tent, and they upgraded us to a bigger tent, too.
We woke up to this beautiful Kumtag Desert Sand dunes, right in front of our tent! It was so beautiful. As the off peak season started, we were the only guests there but the staff were serving us with delicious breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful! The manager and staff were very attentive to our requests. One of the staff has helped us to arrange a local guide/driver to take us to the Kumtag desert for an exciting ATV ride and sand sliding. We had a great time. We ended up hiring the same guide, a pleasant and calm Uygur young guy to take us for some sightseeing and dropped us back to Turpan.
I would say to anyone who is looking for a real desert glamping, please come to Dune in Shahshan near Turpan instead of Dunhuang.

UUsuario invitadoWe were very pleasantly surprised by the stunning location and very modern style of this boutique B&B hotel! We received a first class welcome from the staff and a welcome tray, with refreshing herbal tea and snacks, that was served on the patio of our room with a stunning view of the adjacent river valley. So relaxing just sitting there in our room's deck chairs sipping tea!
The whole property felt brand new and very well appointed based on the vision of its architect owner.
The special chicken based hotpot dinner they served us in the restaurant was a feast of a meal for 2.
The room amenities included a hanging swing chair that was positioned to take advantage of the view out the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river and valley beyond it. We didn't have a TV in the room but we did not miss it, after dark we both enjoyed relaxing reading the books we brought with us.
We enjoyed a personalized breakfast before having to leave early the next day, with regrets that we couldn't stay longer.
Highly recommend this modern but relaxing boutique hotel, especially if you have time to stay a few days.

UUsuario invitadoShanshan is a small town and if you do come here, it would be to visit the Kumtaq desert. The desert is 15-20 minutes from the hotel, so is the Shanshanbei railway station. I recommend this hotel because of the service of the front desk staff, Ms Xiaoba who goes above and beyond to help. She was responsive on wechat and organised a car to pick us up, she willingly booked a taxi for as we couldn’t find the address to the night market on our DIDI app., she provided extra water and answered any questions with a smile. This is a new hotel so looks clean and fresh with a smart toilet. They even have tents/ tepees so if you have a kid, this is a welcome. I saw a room with spiderman and Barbie princess theme too. The breakfast has many Chinese options and they are well cooked and delicious. They do have a coffee machine. I’d stay here again if I were to revisit. Kumtaq Desert is worth a visit and the second golf cart/sightseeing mini bus drives you right to the end and brings you back to the second station. The other deserts we visited didn’t have this. Small town, big heart, great service, amazing people! VA
