Xining is a fantastic, vibrant city, and my biggest regret is not staying longer; it deserves way more time than just a quick transit stop thanks to its incredible food scene, night markets, and laid-back vibe. During my visit, I stayed at LETE Hostel, which serves as a solid, character-rich base for exploring the region. The top-floor communal space has real history and soul, beautifully flooded with sunlight, packed with green plants, a massive library, and even three cute resident birds. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly kind-hearted and welcoming, always doing their best to help out. Location-wise, it’s perfect - super convenient for the night markets, local food stalls, and bus stops, plus they offer safe bike storage for cyclists. For the price of a private room, the value and hospitality here are unbeatable, and I would absolutely stay again - and next time, I’ll be giving Xining the full week it deserves.

Visiting Qinghai Lake last week was nothing short of magical. The moment I arrived, I was blown away by the endless blue waters stretching into the horizon, framed by rolling grasslands and distant snow-capped mountains. The scenery is simply unreal; every angle looks like a postcard. I especially loved cycling along the lakeshore at sunrise; the crisp air, golden light, and mirror-like reflections made it an unforgettable experience. The facilities exceeded my expectations. The visitor center was modern and well-organized, restrooms were clean, and there were plenty of clearly marked viewing platforms and rest areas. The lakeside boardwalks made it easy to soak in the views without disturbing the natural landscape. The service was warm and genuinely hospitable. Staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share tips about the best photo spots and local ******* culture. Even the local vendors and guides were welcoming and professional. I highly recommend Qinghai Lake to anyone seeking a peaceful escape into raw natural beauty. I can't wait to return!

Loved this place so much! True it is a bit far from the city center, around 4 hour drive but you can stop to the famous chaerhan salt lake on the way. I was torn between the many options they had. Decided finally on the white chalets overlooking the Yadan park😍 absolutely worth it! Best decision.. The slide and swimming pool were closed. Maybe because of the cold season. No idea Dear guests if you are considering this stay keep in mind that there isn’t any didi to take you back nor will the hotel arrange one for you. So make sure you arrange your transportation right. The hotel offers shuttle car to move around the hotel but they reply a bit late.. keep that in mind too. And i wished they had their wechat contact on here because it was hard to reach the hotel via email before arriving. Got no response..

El hotel en general es muy bueno. Cuando fui a la recepción para registrarme, hice una reserva, pero me quedé con una habitación relativamente fría. También traje a un anciano a la entrada del ascensor. Tuve la amabilidad de pasarme a una habitación. Tenía miedo de tener frío, porque el clima es relativamente frío estos días. El baño está muy limpio y las habitaciones son muy grandes.

I had a wonderful stay here: great location in the center of town, across from Gesar square and at the foot of Jiegu Monastery. Great buffet-style breakfast. Nice room with a view. And above all: super friendly service. I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m back in Yushu.

The two people managing this hotel are very helpful, despite the language barrier. They went out of their way to find a laundry shop for us, and made sure we were OK with the room. The room itself is a bit dated, but functional. The main downside for us was the lack of ”real towel” (only single use towels are provided. For light sleepers, keep in mind that the popular night market street is just below. It can be noisy until quite late in the night. Otherwise, the location is ideal: close to many eateries, the main mosque, and convenient transportation.

The hotel is located near the Chaka Salt Lake. The hotel does offer room with oxygen supply for guests who are concern over high altitude sickness. We were there during low season and breakfast choices were very limited. I would like to comment on the wonderful service of the staff who went up and above to assist the us. The staff offered to take care of our laundry as timer on the dryer was not working and it's unclear when the laundry load can be dried. Would recommend this hotel to folks who plan to stay overnight in Chaka.

Choose this hotel due to their modern, simple style. Carefully read their description with “HEATING” but they did not clarify that Heating do not open all time. But when we come on July, the weather is only 6 Celcius degree, no heating, no electric blanket really make me disappointed. If they told me when we check-in that during July no heating, I could cancel the reservation. They have working table but no light, if you work here you need to open room light. Maybe others experience was good, but not for me.

Las habitaciones estaban limpias y bien equipadas. El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente con vistas al amanecer y está muy cerca del lago. Es muy tranquilo por la noche y el desayuno es aceptable.

Room is very spacious. There is no door to the dry area of the toilet, which makes it very open. the dry area is very spacious (seems like there used to be a bathtub) with no shelf or dressing table to put your stuff in the toilet dry area. there is glass doors at shower and toilet bowl area and its is very cramp. not sure why the space proportion is so different. Provides simple breakfast, amenities are well provided. Level 1 is a restaurant.
