I can’t say enough good things about my stay at this incredible homestay on Dongshan Island—it’s hands down one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I’m already counting down the days until I can come back. From the breathtaking sea views to the thoughtful, attentive service, every single detail made my trip unforgettable, and I’m so glad I chose this homestay for my island getaway. First and foremost, the seaview here is absolutely stunning, beyond anything I could have imagined. The homestay boasts an unbeatable location with unobstructed views of the endless blue sea, and I spent every spare moment just admiring the ocean, both morning and night. Waking up early to watch the soft golden sunrise glisten over the water, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, was the most peaceful way to start each day. As the sun set, the sky painted itself in warm hues of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic and serene scene that took my breath away. Even at night, the quiet glow of the moon on the water and the soft sound of waves made the view just as magical. I took countless beautiful photos during my stay, and every snapshot perfectly captures the mesmerizing beauty of this place—no filter could ever do the real scenery justice. What surprised me most is that the homestay is even more beautiful in person than the online photos. When I booked the room online, the pictures looked lovely, but I didn’t expect the actual space to exceed my expectations by such a large margin. The interior is cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with large windows that frame the sea like a living painting. Every corner of the homestay is well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The layout is designed to maximize the seaview, so no matter where you are—whether it’s the bedroom, the living area, or the small terrace—you can always feast your eyes on the gorgeous ocean scenery. It’s clear that the host put a lot of love and care into creating this wonderful space. The service here is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The host and all the staff are friendly, warm, and always ready to help with any needs or questions I had. They were quick to respond to messages, offered useful tips for exploring Dongshan Island, and went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their genuine hospitality made me feel valued and cared for throughout my trip. Unlike many other accommodations where service feels impersonal, this homestay’s service is heartfelt and dedicated, adding an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience. I’ve traveled to many coastal destinations, but this homestay on Dongshan Island stands out as a true gem. 乾淨的民宿，裝修很小清新，我們訂的是一樓的大床房，價格實惠，入住體驗好。晚餐是老闆親自下廚，量大新鮮，味道不錯。老闆的父親一直前後忙來忙去，給我們泡茶，提供許多有用的遊覽訊息。是一次很好的住宿經歷。

五星好評！離海很近出行方便，出門是彩蝶灣，旁邊就是馬鑾灣和金巒灣，方便看海和撿貝殼！要求上樓換拖鞋，且衞浴乾濕分離，看得出對衞生方面很重視。公區超大，店裡擺放了不少樂器，經常能碰到吉他大佬彈唱，氛圍感直接拉滿。還和店裡的朋友一起玩遊戲了，非常開心🥳老闆人超好，待人真誠且很有趣。外面還有桌椅可以坐着聽歌唱歌，還有個鹹魚的指示牌架子很有意思哈哈哈🤣一樓提供免費洗衣服，而且有專門晾衣服的地方。另外還有一衹小貓兩衹小狗，温馨治癒，住宿體驗超棒！

Si vuelvo a Quanzhou, sin duda elegiré de nuevo el hotel Citywell. La habitación es limpia, con iluminación cálida y espaciosa, y está ubicado cerca de la calle de la comida, con muchos restaurantes y centros de masajes en los alrededores. El hotel huele muy bien al entrar y el personal es amable; incluso compartieron buenos consejos de viaje con los huéspedes. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

El entorno popular en general es brillante, la limpieza interior es muy limpia, todos los rincones se encuentran en el lugar, la decoración es sencillamente caliente y el ambiente es muy agradable. Las camas son blandas, la calidad del descanso es buena, el baño está seco y el suministro de agua caliente es estable. El personal es amable, informa de la ruta con antelación, hay respuestas a los problemas a tiempo. La ubicación es conveniente para el transporte, hay más opciones para comer y beber en el entorno, la residencia está lejos de las zonas complejas y el descanso es seguro. La experiencia de vivir es excelente y la próxima vez que viajamos sigue siendo la opción prioritaria.

La comida del restaurante es muy sabrosa y tiene una buena relación calidad-precio; incluso te dan guarniciones y verduras de la huerta gratis. También ofrecen tés de hojas sueltas gratis (5 o 6 opciones de la finca, según tengo entendido; muy ricos). Es una pena que las tazas y los vasos sean de plástico desechable por comodidad; poner agua hirviendo en plástico no es lo ideal hoy en día. Las salas de té son muy elegantes, pero por lo que entiendo, son básicamente salas de degustación para clientes que desean comprar té, lo cual puede resultar un poco confuso si solo quieres tomar té, no necesariamente comprarlo (y mucho menos al por mayor). El personal es amable, pero no habla inglés, lo que limita la comunicación a transacciones monetarias. Esperaba un mapa de la zona turística, indicaciones para llegar a la parada de autobús, consejos sobre qué visitar en el parque, etc., pero en general lo averigüé por mi cuenta. La habitación es muy cómoda y la zona es impresionante; no te pierdas el espectáculo Impressions Dahongpao y, por supuesto, las vistas panorámicas del parque.

I rarely say this on my reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Minsu. When I come back to Quanzhou for another family holiday, I will book this place again. Firstly, the location: It is unbeatable. It is near enough to be in the midst of the action in Quanzhou (near the walking street, eateries, restaurants, shopping etc etc), yet very quiet for us to enjoy a good night’s rest, or a good conversation at night over tea. Second, the nice balance between an authentic cultural home and modernism. We had the entire Minsu to ourselves, 6 rooms in total. Renovated about 3-4 years ago, the Minsu gave us the experience of living in an authentic Chinese inn, yet the amenities were modern….comfortable beds, modern toilets, refrigerators available etc….The courtyards were also beautiful. The entire Minsu was tastefully done…..plus it was spotlessly clean. Thirdly, the owners. They were so friendly and helpful. They met us at the drop off point, and brought us to the Minsu when we checked in, helping to move some of our luggages (and they did the same thing when we checked out). They went out of their way to help purchase traditional puppet show (木偶) tickets (at a small discount somemore). After we checked out, my son left his hoodie in the room. The owners assisted to courier the jacket to the next city we were heading to (we were already in the train at that time). And lastly, every morning and every night, either Mr Du, his son or his daughter in law would invite us to join them for tea. They would then proceed to serve tea the traditional way, while having a conversation with us. They also taught us certain traditions, protocols and rules when serving tea. They have a cat called TangYuan (汤圆), in which the kids in the family enjoyed playing with. The only thing to note is that public transport (via taxis and buses) only can drop you off at a spot about 5min walk away. Also, they provide disposable towels, not the regular towels given at hotels. If it is an issue, just bring your own towels. Otherwise, this place deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

La habitación es buena, muy limpia, el paisaje exterior es bueno y dormir muy tranquilo. La salida es la fiesta de yates internacionales, y jugar yates es muy conveniente, pero está muy lejos de la casa de exhibición. El diseño de las instalaciones es un poco inadecuado, una lata no puede cargarse, la lata de los calzones del baño está muy cerca de la pared, la otra lata es realmente muy vacía. El servicio del hotel es muy bueno, muy amable.

A peaceful place to chill and relax. Very pretty, clean, modern interior and nice smelling room. Fruits, drinks and yoghurt are complimentary in every room. Within the room, it is spacious! They even offer us washing machine (equipped with detergent) in every room so we may wash our laundry. Exterior has been nicely designed too. Love the deco around the common area like the reading corner, tea table. Breakfast is quite good though it’s the same for both days we were there. Manager nicely upgraded one of our room as it was off peak season. Found out they have another branch in Yun Shi Yao. Perhaps can consider staying there and this for 2 different nights to experience different locations with hopefully similar level of standards.

El apartamento está situado en un lugar fantástico que se encuentra a la vista del agua. La habitación era espaciosa, pero necesitaba una buena limpieza. Nota que este lugar no tiene recepción. Tienes que llamarlos desde el piso y enviar a alguien para recogerte. Es común en China, pero es difícil si no hablas chino. Nos llegamos de un vuelo internacional de noche y, aunque tuvimos WeChat, luchamos para comunicarnos.
