Ours was that historic rorbuer that is in zillions of marketing brochures for the Lofoten Islands (it was the main picture in our Oslo Airport hotel later!). Although crowded with new buildings to maximize their space, it was nonetheless really fun to be right on the water (we had fighting gulls outside on the deck at 12:30am...!) and we could hear the water lapping underneath our two-person cottage. Only problem: the roof made loud tapping noises in high winds = disrupted sleep. And the couch we had to move to use the Murphy bed was VERY heavy. Also, the person in the Murphy bed couldn't get the room dark (and it was fulltime light in mid-June) due to there being no coverings for the high windows. Otherwise, the unit was very clean, well stocked, nicely decorated, with a killer view outside.

Easy check in. Front desk staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast spread was good with many choices.

Bien, si sólo necesitas un lugar para dormir por la noche. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas (en los dos años no podíamos empacar nuestros bolsillos al mismo tiempo), absolutamente no hay cubiertas en el baño (ni siquiera para poner el tobillo), el bañón no es lo suficientemente grande como para lavar la cara en. La habitación está muy bien equipada (la puerta de baño se abre a la puerta de entrada y los interruptores de luz son difíciles de acceder). El gimnasio y la sauna son los únicos puntos positivos.

Large hotel in a nice area.My room was not in the main building itself, but in an annex behind the hotel. My room was nice with a good view, but it wasn't very clean. The bathroom was extremely small. There was no soap available to wash my hands. When I asked reception if I could have some hand soap the thought it was a weird question and they didn't understand why I felt the need to wash my hands with soap. Six hours after I had asked if I could have some soap they still hadn't refilled the soap dispenser in the bathroom. When I went to reception a second time I got the same reaction. Staff at reception is very unfriendly and not willing to help at all. Wifi is good at the hotel. Hairdryer, water kettle and safe available in the room. The bed was very good. Breakfast buffet was excellent, but the three course dinner was tasteless. Be careful with the lock on the door. Hotel staff claims the door automatically locks once you're inside the room and closed the door, but this is not the case. If you're not careful the door stays unlocked, which doesn't feel very safe.

Stay somewhere else. We booked a premium sea view room. The size was nice but that is the only good thing about the stay. The room was in need of a deep cleaning. The carpet should just be replaced at this point but at the very least they should shampoo them. This was our stay on the way back through Bodø from a week trip to Northern Norway. We thought a Radisson would be the better splurge. Wish we had stayed at the Quality Hotel again instead..it was a smaller room but much cleaner, with an amazing breakfast (included!) and a lower pet fee than the Radisson Blu.

El calor de la habitación se rompió, les pidió a sus hombres que me ayudaran a repararlo, pero no vino, luego correron al establo y les dijeron que finalmente cambiarme otra habitación. My visit to Lofoten was solely because of the Northern Lights. As a solo traveler. a central location, inexpensive, safe, clean are the key factors i base on for the hotel search. Fast Hotel’s convenient location, self-check in, are superb. But during my stay, from check-in till the next morning, the entrance door to my room could not be locked at all and i had to go out without locking my room. Till the next morning a young male employee promised to help fixing it. He did. Was and am grateful to him. On the second night, i ended up not searching for northern light but the LIGHT - electricity broke down and internet connection was also down - from before midnight till 01:29. - and the hotel main entrance door, usually remains closed and is to be opened via pin code - now the sensor is not working (it is now 03:45, still not working), making my plan of going out to observe the northern light and coming back to the hotel not possible. Somehow, during the wee hours at the lobby i met someone who works nearby and stays at the same hotel, taught me how to manully open the faulty main entrance glass door (just use hands, with slight force, to manually slide open the glass doors to both sides. It didn’t require much force at all.) While technical hiccups can be rectified, here is my suggestion to the Hotel - please install a light for writing desk. The whole room has only two side table bed lights. No general light for the room at all (there are recessed ceiling lights but switches cannot be found). At the writing desk, a light sauce is a must-have. That said, i still like the hotel a lot because of its location and self-check in, completely without a Reception counter/area - that is wonderful. G reat is also he closeness to the bus terminal (not noisy at all) is pivotal as the buses (running infrequently in Lofoten) are the “lifeline” for those who visit Lofoten without a rented car. As a solo traveller, i will want to come back to this (and/or similar) Fast Hotel. i like it. It is like a trusted friend, sometimes not feeling well, but a friend is a friend.

Prior to the pandemic we booked a waterfront Rorbu at Anker Brygge - our dream vacation to stay in a waterfront fishing cabin in Lofoten. Covid happened and plans got deferred. To their credit Anker Brygge extended our reservation twice (for 2 years) as we had paid for it in advance. We reconfirmed in writing on several occasions our arrival, and reconfirmed that what we had booked had not changed. However, upon arrival they confirmed our reservation, but announced they had decided to give our Rorbu to someone else, and then stuck us in one of the antiquated apartments above the bar. Just great in the land of the midnight sun when closing time for a bar is an uncertainty. What is particularly irksome is that we had reconfirmed the details of our reservation in writing, arrived first to the facility on day of checkin, spoke to the manager about the importance of Rorbu accommodation to our vacation plans - only to see guests arriving after us, and the next day, get assigned Rorbu and we were stuck in this crummy apartment. If they had been upfront with us to begin with, and told us they had no intention of ”really” honouring our reservation, we could have made a booking at one of the hundreds of other really wonderful Rorbu on Lofoton. Crummy, vacation wrecking, experience.

Very clean. Excellent location. Even though it is on a main street near the harbor, it is very quiet. Heavy doors and windows which do not allow sound. Full length large black out curtains. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were bigger than i expected with seating area and table. You could walk to the ferry or airport (doable but check distances ). Recommend.

Perfecta para pasar unos días en Svolvaer y recorrer esa magnífica zona. No muy lejos de las cabañas, donde está la recepción, el restaurante fantástico para probar las delicias locales

Aunque el servicio de la cabina de 24 horas está escrito en el viaje, en realidad es un mensaje de entrada sin recibir. Oigo a otros invitados que le enviarán información como el número de habitación y la contraseña de puertas de entrada antes, pero no he recibido. Luego, le pregunto al servicio de clientes por favor contacte con su agente para obtener el número de habitación y la contraseña, Espero que el hotel pueda proporcionar correo electrónico y más conveniente para los turistas contactar! Otro desayuno y cocina no son buenos. No hay recepción, y sólo dejar el número de teléfono para contactar no es conveniente para el turista extranjero como nosotros.

Die Lage ist besser kaum vorstellbar. Das Appartement ist modern und komfortabel mit einem grandiosen Blick und kurzen Wegen zu Restaurants, Aktivitäten und Supermarkt. Die Küche ist spartanisch eingerichtet, aber die Nespressomaschine hat‘s rausgerissen. Unser Apartment war allerdings wirklich unglaublich heiß und auch an keinem Schalter regulierbar. Die Fußbodenheizung im Bad lief auf Hochtouren. Da dieses Problem auch in den Nachbarappartments so war (der Nachbar hat die Tür zum Treppenhaus aufgehalten, um Durchzug zu haben), scheint es ein grundlegendes zu sein.

Della tipica Rorbuer aveva il colore rosso e la posizione sull'acqua in un paesino incantevole come Henningsvaer. Forse fin troppo casa da pescatore... abbiamo soggiornato in una delle piccole (per due persone) e in effetti nel sito si vedevano bene le foto di quelle un pò più grandi e confortevoli. La 24 direi molto spartana (siamo entrati pensando di essere in una vecchia roulotte). Attrezzatura da cucina inesistente (una padella e un pentolino), non c'era lavastoviglie (come nelle altre rorbuer che avevamo prenotato nel nostro tour alle Lofoten...anche se il prezzo del soggiorno era più alto delle precedenti). Nessun posto dove appoggiare la valigia se non il divano...Una menzione a parte va al bagno: lavandino minuscolo altezza cosce (e non sono alta), doccia con tenda e rubinetteria di plastica (come in una roulotte), pochissimi asciugamani. Insomma per correttezza l'avrei chiamato campeggio. Peccato.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in uno dei Rorbu affacciati sul mare e tutto è’ stato perfetto. Check-in alle 15 in un pomeriggio invernale sotto la neve. Cottage comodo e pulito, con un soggiorno a completo affaccio sul mare sul porticato privato. La vista da sola vale il soggiorno. Cucina attrezzata. 2 camere comode. Solo il bagno ci ha un po’ deluso ma il resto lo fa ampiamente dimenticare. Il posto e’ incantevole, uno dei più belli delle Lofoten. Abbiamo usato anche la SPA (a pagamento). Piccolina ma ad uso privato per 1.30h con sauna e hot tube con viste pazzesche. Un posto dove piacerebbe tornare.

Un buen lugar para permanecer. Mucho espacio. Grande agua caliente y presión de agua. Todos los camas son solteros. El desayuno era muy bueno con fiesta local. Teníamos cenado 1 noche y era muy bueno. Se encuentra en una pequeña ciudad que es grande para recoger suministros. Tienen secadoras de botas.

Considering that Norway is the most expensive country in Europe and that the breathtaking scenery and quaint fishing villages of Lofoten make it the country’s #1 tourist destination, the high price of the converted fisherman’s cabins here is pretty average. The cabins are refurbished to modern standard but are somewhat spartan. Mine had a stove-top but no oven, not even a microwave or a toaster, and the lack of a dish-rack meant that you had to use the dishwasher at least once a day or else improvise. The bathroom was similarly minimal. The bed was comfortable but not properly balanced, so the upper mattress kept on slipping off one side of the bed overnight! I had to park the car on the clifftop and walk the final 50 m to the cabin (which was 800 m from the reception). But these are minor issues: the setting is fabulous in all weathers (and staying a week meant I did see the harbour, village and mountains in brilliant sunshine, torrential rain, swirling fog and eerie stillness). Self-catering is a good option in a country where restaurant meals are exorbitant, and the traditional rorbuer on the water’s edge are definitely the place to stay. The environment is peaceful, the staff friendly and efficient, wifi excellent and everything clean and functional.

La ubicación de este hotel es muy buena. ¡La vista fuera de la habitación también es muy buena! ¡Y el estacionamiento es muy conveniente! La habitación también está muy limpia. ¡Muy bien! ¡Elegiremos este hotel la próxima vez! La señora de la recepción es muy agradable. Sin embargo, se recomienda que Ctrip pueda elegir qué suite reservar la próxima vez. Para que pueda saber dónde está la ubicación

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel durante un viaggio in solitaria e devo dire che mi ha affascinato per i colori, l'atmosfera e il paesaggio. Soggiornare qui significa soggiornare in un antico borgo di pescatori, fatto tutto di casette rosse sul mare. La struttura comprende un ristorante in cui ho mangiato molto bene. Per chi viaggia in macchina alla scoperta della Isole Lofoten è facile trovare posto per il parcheggio. L'unico appunto, e su questo consiglierei di rimediare, è che, almeno nella stanza in cui ho dormito io (al primo piano dell'edificio in cui c'è anche il ristorante, affacciato sul lato interno) la tenda era troppo ”leggera” per contenere la luce della ”non notte” dell'estate nordica... quindi non era facile dormire. Per il resto personale molto cortese e atmosfera che ripaga ogni possibile fatica, oltre, come detto, al ristorante in cui ho apprezzato molto la qualità dei piatti preparati. Se dovessi consigliarlo ad un amico sicuramente lo farei.

En agosto, me quedé con mi novia en este pequeño hotel en la hermosa Reine. Nos sorprendió cómo sería el lugar: comenzando con yoga de la mañana, buenas instalaciones de cocina y una luminosa habitación frente al mar. No obstante, he dejado algunos vestidos por error y he pasado un mes tratando de conseguir que el hotel los envíe de vuelta a mí. Esto me recuerda que cuando ibamos allí también tuvimos la experiencia de no recibir respuestas a nuestros mensajes. No sé cómo una instalación turística puede funcionar con esas comunicaciones pobres. Es una vergüenza que el tiempo ya está un poco despilfarrado.
