I stayed one night at this hotel, which is conveniently located near the train station and feels fresh and new. The on-site restaurant serves dinner, and we tried the sukiyaki — it was absolutely delicious and definitely worth a try, even if the price is on the higher side. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would happily choose this hotel again when visiting Zao.

El hotel es un hotel muy bueno, pero no está en el centro de ninguna parte. Usted desea permanecer en la ciudad de Yamagata, también llamada ciudad Yamagata, para que pueda llegar a lugares turísticos famosos. La habitación de la habitación era muy agradable. I was very impressed with my stay at this hotel. The service was good, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was varied. If I come back here again, I will definitely stay here again. Most importantly, there is a window with a view and the room is spacious and comfortable.

I like Richmond Hotels for their modern decor and well-maintained property. Unfortunately this location in particular falls short of the most basic criteria of a hotel - cleanliness, especially in Japan. There were molds found in the bathroom in between the tub and the wall, as well as in between the window silts. The location of the hotel is about 5 mins walk from the Yamagata Station. Staff were nice and hospitable. The free midnight snack and free drinks and ice cream in the lounge were nice touches to the stay.

Located on the top of a business building linking to the Yamagata station. You won’t have to be worried even if it’s snowing or raining. A side note to travellers from the hotter climate, the hotel doesn’t supply air conditioning during winter. Instead it has a small webbed facility that allows outside air to flow into the room. This slight chills the room. However during the day, the room will be super hot. Initially we had a room facing the sun and when we checked in, the room is super hot. Called the customer service only to find out they didn’t have air conditioning during winter and we have to rent a fan from them. After a slight communication, the customer service is kind enough to upgrade us to a bigger room which is slightly cooler. Big props to the customer service lady! 5 stars service !

The room is spacious and in traditional Japanese style. Was expecting a private onsen in the room but it was only a bathtub. The staff couldn’t communicate well in English which caused some misunderstanding during our stay but they’re friendly and responsible enough to solve the problem for us so it’s still a great experience overall. The breakfast was very traditional and got more and more abundant every day. We had a great 4nights stay in Hayamakan. The highlight has to be the nearby restaurants. The hotel will give you some recommendations nearby, please make sure you try some of them!

Asistí a una cena-espectáculo y me quedé a pasar la noche. La comida estaba deliciosa, la habitación era espaciosa y fue una experiencia muy agradable. Las comodidades también eran excelentes. Me impresionaron las grandes muñecas Hina.

Si no conoces la ubicación ni el concepto del hotel, es difícil que quien lo visita por primera vez sepa que es un hotel. Es difícil encontrar el aparcamiento. Creo que el ambiente y la limpieza de la habitación eran buenos.

Ubicado en un barrio tranquilo, el personal es amable y servicial. El aparcamiento es limitado en los alrededores del hotel, pero tienen todo lo necesario. Solo tienes que preguntarles y te lo solucionarán. El alojamiento incluye desayuno gratuito, y es realmente increíble; te sorprenderá la variedad que ofrecen.

Overall the experience was average. For the same price at other hotels I've been to, the service, room quality would have been much better. The facilities are generally aged. The room was old a bit dusty and some parts of the tatami floor had sunken in. Service was pleasant. Few important things to note: - poor ventilation at meal times meany the whole hotel and your room would smell like meat. - shuttle service only for to and from the bus station. (Most other hotels provide shuttles to the ski lifts) - the ski lifts are about 10-15mins walk away with full gear on (boards, etc)
