A nice hotel conveniently located near the JR station with convenience stores and plenty of eateries nearby. It is also close to a mall where you can find local delicacies, including a food market in the basement. Paid parking is connected to the hotel and the staff can provide discounted parking rates which was a plus. The room was comfortable and clean, and the buffet breakfast was good with a decent selection. We arrived close to last order and they had already started clearing some of the food so it’s best to go early if you want to enjoy your meal at a more relaxed pace.
Older style but everything is well maintained just like most Japan hotel. Nothing to complaint about, just sleep over for us. But I imagine it’s very convenient as it’s at the JR station, we drove so it makes no difference but nearby parking isn’t as expensive as JR station in more developed city. Food option is plentiful nearby though so that’s great for late night supper.
As nice a hotel as anyone would want to stay in while visiting Tokushima on the island of Shikoku. Terrific service, clean facilities and room, an amazing bonus free onsen (hot springs), a very well equipped gym which is a bit rare in Japan and the property is located right in the middle of town next to the central train and bus stations. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood as well as a shopping centre across the road and lot's of small shops nearby. Upon first arriving, the entrance is a little tricky to locate so be sure and follow the instructions that will come with the booking confirmation.
If you are looking to trade the frantic energy of Japan’s megacities for something soulful and secluded, this is it. Nestled deep in the mountains, the property offers a unique, almost cinematic atmosphere. There is a touch of moody, beautiful isolation here that you simply won't find anywhere else.
The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived; staff met us at our car to handle our luggage immediately. For those driving, the ample parking and EV charging stations are a massive plus. The orientation was thorough, with the team explaining everything from onsen etiquette to the nuances of our dinner service. A truly high-end, evocative experience.
We’re a family travelling with 3 kids so we booked 2 corner rooms for the needed space.
1) We were given 2 corner rooms at opposite ends of the floor, so we had to walk up & down & up & down the corridor to pass stuff to one another, so that was a bit inconvenient. The hotel refused at first to give us a 2nd key card saying that only 1 is allowed.
2) The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy but the pillows were very flat, so we requested for more pillows but they still didn’t provide much support. There was an electric small leg massager in room.
3) The sink in the toilet was v low, so adults wld have to bend over a bit more. But bathing area & shower was spacious and comfortable.
4) Hotel location was right next to JR, and lots of food options so it was great as we didn’t do hotel breakfast. There is no drop off point for cars or taxis at the hotel as the hotel lobby is on 3rd floor of building.
5) We drove a 7 seater car(to accommodate luggages) so the roof was too high & had to be parked at a Times public carpark 2 mins away that we paid for.
6) All in all, a recommended hotel in Tokushima & we would return to stay again due to central location & shopping areas all reachable on foot.
Slightly dated but still functional. Further walk from station than thought, but close to lively restaurant area and sento.
The river cruise is also close.
Not the best Washington Hotel but still a good standard.
Overall facilities, food, services were awesome. Amazing services provided to us: complimentary ride to vine bridge, waterfall due to early arrival to hotel. Assisted to our train schedules for our next destination, offer treats for our long journey. Mailing postcard service. All staff demonstrated professional and courtesy attitude to their guest. Room Tenjin with open air bath is excellent, definitely recommended. Enjoy our stay.
We would like to see bus schedules to be improved by increasing more buses run to and from the hotel; or arrange free hotel shuttle to and from Oboke Station, if required.
Best part about this place: the very diverse, tasty breakfast. The worst part: tiny double beds. The location is fine being close to a small train station.
A quality business-class hotel located in Tokushima near the Bizen Ropeway and the Bizan Tenjinsha Shinto Shrine, just a short ten minute walk from JR Tokushima Station. During my stay, I enjoyed a lovely view of Mount Bizen and a few blocks of Tokushima, close in to shopping and restaurant districts. The room was quiet and comfortable and as always offered the same alpha-One commitment to quality I have come to expect from stays at other locations. Recommended.

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is good value for money with hearty Japanese and basic western breakfast buffet included. Location wise, it is more convenient for car driving travellers as there is only one shopping centre nearby and no other shops or eateries within short walking distances. Room is cleaned every 3 days but clean towels are provided daily. Stop for Buses going to the Onaruto Bridge, the Naruto Whirlpool boat tours, the Otsuka Museum of Art stop is a few minutes walk from the hotel.
