Simple but clean and comfortable room. Soundproofing is ok (room was on 2F). We mainly chose this hotel because it had a free shuttle to Shiiba Sanso, whose rotenburo is truly wonderful. Taishoya only has indoor baths, unfortunately. We had dinner at the hotel, and felt a bit rushed, as if they wanted to close the kitchen early. Breakfast was more relaxed. We particularly liked the boiled tofu.

The hot spring they provided which I think it is just hot water. Also, when my hand touched the bottom of hot spring, my hand smell like disinfectant, perhaps they didnt clean it comprehensively. Also, the sound insulation is really poor.

Additionally, the hotel offers the option to soak in a hot water bath, which is especially rejuvenating when feeling tired. In terms of facilities, Hotel R9 falls slightly short with a rating of 3 out of 5. However, considering its focus on providing a comfortable and unique stay, the overall experience compensates for the limited facilities. The hotel's location is excellent, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating when driving. As for the service, while it was generally good, there is room for improvement, leading to a rating of 4 out of 5. In conclusion, Hotel R9 is a great choice for travelers seeking a short, convenient stay. With its clean rooms, excellent location for drivers, and a range of practical amenities, it offers a pleasant experience overall.

It was a nice hotel, located in a central location. Lots of amenities around and plenty of food. Comes with free onsen and breakfast.

The hotel located nearby higashi Karatsu station, and provides shuttle services (need to contact/book earlier) for return trips to the train station. Located just beside the river, the room has amazing view overlooking the river and bridges. Onsen is good but I wish there is outdoor onsen that can see the amzing sunset. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Loved the private onsen experience! Breakfast was especially delicious, highly recommend not skipping it for sleeping in, the tofu porridge is something I’ll crave forever. If you’re arriving by train, there’s a guest info center next to the train station where you can ask them to call the property to pick you up! Very convenient. Room was immaculate with lots of amenities. Felt incredibly pampered. Location is a little far off from the convenience shops, but there are a number of things to sight-see and nice restaurants within 30mins walking distance.

We chose to stay here because hotels in Fukuoka were very expensive, and since we had the JR Pass, this location right beside the Tosu station was super convenient. The room was very clean, and the facilities were great — especially the included breakfast! It was a wonderful chance to try local Japanese dishes, and I really enjoyed it. The breakfast starts as early as 6:30am, which was very thoughtful — I still remember rushing to catch the 6:50am train to Fukuoka after eating, and I even had 5 minutes to spare, haha! Staff were friendly and helpful, though English communication was a bit more limited — probably because it’s not a major station area. Still, everyone had a great attitude and tried their best. Overall, a very satisfying stay!

Es realmente una sopa hermosa y tiene una sensación divertida de correr después de la piel. La ciudad no es grande, pero no hace nada es muy relajado. Hay una oportunidad para volver. Hay muchos negros en el primer piso de la bodega, y el gusto de la música del jefe parece bueno. Escuchar música para beber un buen vino en la noche es incómodo.
