Very quiet area not far away from the main square. Room very clean and nice hot shower. Nice TV with netflix as well. Only the room was a little bit cool but that seems to be the case in most hostels in Cusco.. The hosts made a WhatsApp group and that was handy for arranging an airport pick up on arrival but after that they were not quick at replying.

El hotel está situado en el corazón de la ciudad de Cuzco, a tan solo unos minutos a pie de la plaza, junto con las tiendas y restaurantes cercanos. Está dirigido por una encantadora familia (José, Johann y Miriam) que te recibirá con mucha calidez. Tuvimos que levantarnos increíblemente temprano (¡a las 4 de la mañana!) para hacer un recorrido y José nos preparó un desayuno para llevar. Le dije a mi marido que se siente como si nuestros padres hubieran preparado el desayuno porque fue muy considerado y nunca tuvimos hambre durante el viaje :) Johan habla muy bien inglés, así que no tendrás ningún problema para intentar conseguir algunos consejos sobre la ciudad. Taxi charges 35 USD Time: 1.5hrs ollantaytambo train station to Machu Picchu/ aguas calientes train station: 135 USD return tickets, per person. Time: 1.45hrs Aguas calientes train station to hotel is on walk of 500 meters. Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu Bus available: 24 USD return ticket. Time 20min · Helpful and Friendly Owner: A major highlight was the owner. He was exceptionally helpful, offering great advice and guiding us on our tour plans. This local insight was invaluable and made our trip much smoother. · Good Daily Breakfast: The included breakfast was tasty and satisfying, providing a great start to the day. It's also the time when tea and coffee are served, so you can get your caffeine fix before heading out. · Clean and Tidy: Daily cleaning service is provided, and our room was always kept spotless. The hotel feels very well-maintained. · Convenient Currency: As noted, USD is widely accepted in the area at the market rate, which includes settling your bill at the hotel. This makes things very easy for international travelers. Things to Note: · No In-Room Tea/Coffee: Be aware that there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You'll need to wait for the breakfast service or pop out to one of the many nearby cafes if you want a drink outside of those hours.

Tenía dos reservas separadas con el hotel ya que iba a Machu Picchu y pasaría la noche allí. Durante mi primer día en este hotel en mi primera reserva, me pidieron que pagáramos juntos esta segunda reserva. No se entregó ningún recibo, pero se le aseguró que no habrá ningún malentendido. Hotel Santa Maria was the best hotel during my stay in Peru, which included not only Cusco, but also Lima and Aguas Calientes. The bed was comfortable, the Wifi worked well and reliably, and the serice was excellent in several ways. For example, when I requested an airport pickup at 10 pm after flying 28 straight hours, a friendly driver picked me up. Ruby was particularly helpful and very friendly and wanted the best for me as a tourist in her country. She asked follow-up questions about my experience at Machu Picchu after getting back from Machu Picchu Pueblo. It waa great Spanish practice! The men front staff were also gentlemenly willing to help. In addition to the very hospitable demeanor, the tour service also saved my trip. I booked a separate city tour with a different company on Trip.com, but that tour never happened. However, the tour services of Santa Maria gave me exactly what I wanted from their own tour booking service managed by Edith. So, rest assured that service, too, is reliable. Be wary of online city tours done online in Cusco. No need to worry at this hotel, though. I used it also for the Rainbow Mountain excursion. With Hotel Santa Maria, I wouldn't have truly experienced Cusco, Peru! Mil gracias for helping me realize my dream trip to its fullest extent!

マチュピチュに登るために泊まりました。アクセスもよく、マチュピチュ行きのバス乗り場もすごく近くでした。 朝食の時間は比較的早めで早起きしなければいけませんでしたが、美味しかったです。 網戸がないため、窓を開ける時は虫が入ってこないよう気をつけるか、開けないで外を見ることをおすすめします。 系列のレストランが割引になったのもありがたかったです。

No cumple las expectativas de Belmond. 1. La comida es media, lo mismo que teníamos en un pequeño pueblo, cambiar un chef, no gusto en absoluto. 2. En un desayuno camareros siempre trae frutas y después de 5 minutos preguntando si los necesito. ¿Por qué en la tierra debo comer frutas en 5 minutos? Y por qué lo necesitas? La calidad y la variedad del desayuno no es agradable todos los días no teníamos frescos azul. En mi país tengo azul de Perú y es más fresco. ¿Cómo es posible? 3. Bienvenido no es en estilo Belmond: no hay champán ni chocolate bueno. 4. Un día pedimos que limpiara la habitación antes de 12, que lo hiciera, vinimos y estaba seguro que estábamos solos en la habitación. Cuando estaba desnudo vi un jardinero en nuestra terraza privada. También me vio. ¿Cómo es posible que entré en nuestra terraza cuando estaba en la habitación????? ¿Con no sonar y golpear???? 5. Alpacas alimentación también es un desastre: todas las personas del hotel vienen, nunca se obtendrán fotos como en Instagram. ¿Por qué no lo hacen por cita? Hemos tenido muchas experiencias con animales en diferentes países, esta es la peor. 6. Las cosas no están bien entrenadas, la comunicación es super artificial. El lugar es hermoso, pero eso es lo peor de Belmond que hemos estado. Pregunte al Monasterio Belmond sobre buena experiencia y servicio de primera calidad.

Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice. The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece. Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt. I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.
