The staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future. 3 Things to improve on: 1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street 2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway. 3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?

El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente, rodeado de Takashimaya, Aeon Mall, Don Quijote y Bic Camera. La entrada del hotel tiene escaleras que bajan al sótano, conectando con todos los centros comerciales sin tener que subir a la superficie. La segunda planta del hotel tiene acceso directo a la estación JR de Okayama. La habitación se limpió con rapidez y minuciosidad. El personal del hotel veía a los huéspedes acercarse desde lejos y apartaba la aspiradora, esperando a que pasaran antes de encenderla. También saludaban a los huéspedes con una reverencia desde lejos por la mañana, demostrando un excelente servicio japonés. Como reservé una habitación económica, la habitación era un poco pequeña. Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que visite Okayama.

Very good location. Hotel has good spa and convenient. Many parking around the hotel.. very near shopping streets and eateries... Very nice place to stay. Highly recommendee

We are a family travelling with 3 kids so we drive a car, and factored in luggage space. 1) Vessel hotel has hands-down one of the best beds ever! We checked and realised it was a Simmons mattress so the beds really offered us deep & restful sleep!! Love this! 2) The carpark was right outside the hotel so it was super convenient not having to walk up & down diff storeys to take things from car. We returned to hotel ard 10pm on 1 night & there were no more parking lots! We’d have to park at a multi-storey building that was 12mins walk away, which wld have been v convenient. 3) The breakfast was yummy. We went in summer & enjoyed the Barazushi (Okayama special during festivals) & the rice was sweet, salty, flavourful, and delicious with prawn, eggs, eel, lotus roots (see pic). Really yummy! Try it 4) Hotel staff were very helpful! We asked for an extra luggage stand so we wldnt need to bend too low & they brought it immediately. 5) There’s a big supermarket just across the road with cheap groceries that we stocked up on for our road trip. 6) If you intend to drive, this is a highly recommend hotel in Kurashiki!! Wld stay here again! It was great!

ดีมากๆ พนักงานต้อนรับ ดีมาก อัธยาศัยดี คอยดูแล ตอนใกล้วันพักมีเมลให้ลงทะเบียนข้อมูลล่วงหน้า หลังลงเสร็จจะได้รับ QR code สำหรับเช็คอิน ซึ่งสามารถเอาไปสแกนเช็คอินที่ front ได้ มีอาหารเช้า 6.30-9.30 อร่อยมาก หลากหลาย 18.00-20.00 เครื่องดื่มฟรีคนละ 1 แก้ว ที่ห้องอาหาร มีนำมะนาว และ เบียร์ ชั้น1 มีที่นั่งเล่น ห้องอาหาร ตู้กดนำอัตโนมัติ เก้าอี้นวด ชั้น4 มีเครื่องซักผ้า 2 เครื่อง (มีนำยาซักผ้าในตัวอยู่แล้วไม่ต้องมส่) เครื่องอบผ้า 2 เครื่อง มีตู้กดนำ ตู้กดเบียร์ และ คลังหนังสือการ์ตูน โดยรวมประทับใจและดีมากๆ

El hotel está en una ubicación excelente. Hay consigna de equipaje disponible antes del check-in y el personal de recepción habla chino. Después del check-in, fuimos al barrio histórico y outlet Bikan de Kurashiki. Por la noche, pudimos darnos un baño termal o tomar una taza de matcha en el restaurante y disfrutar de la vista nocturna. El desayuno fue muy abundante. Después de cenar, fuimos a visitar el Santuario Achi y luego tomamos el autobús lanzadera del mediodía al aeropuerto.

Good location clean small room.  The sign on the top of building is not in English but Japanese.  They don’t have spaces for luggage storage more than a day. The hotel staff she can’t speak English so can’t help much but the staff in tourist information center in the train station speak fluent English so I got all I need there.

Excelente ubicación, junto a la estación de tren y las terminales de ferry. El personal de recepción fue muy amable y servicial. Me alojé en una cabaña, y estuvo bien para pasar la noche. La cama era cómoda. La zona común tiene microondas, nevera, hervidores de agua, una selección de tés que se pueden preparar en tetera, agua embotellada y algunos detalles. El hotel me ofreció un cupón gratuito para un onsen cercano, que tenía buena pinta, pero no lo visité. El hotel también me guardó el equipaje después de la salida mientras visitaba Naoshima. Es un poco caro para una cabaña, pero quedé muy contento con mi estancia.

La clave está en la ubicación, no en las instalaciones. Está a un paseo del castillo y solo por eso merece la pena alojarse aquí. Sin embargo, no esperes nada más que un hotel típico de antaño. Tiene lavadora, pero te costará conseguir una, ya que tendrás que competir con docenas de personas. El personal es amable y tienen artículos de aseo para llevar cuando los necesites. En definitiva, una excelente relación calidad-precio para la zona.

This was my second time staying at Abest Grande Hotel, and once again, the experience was excellent. The service is extremely good — all staff are very polite, welcoming, and always greet guests with a genuine smile. We were offered a welcome drink upon arrival, which was a very nice touch. The staff were also very helpful in calling a restaurant on our behalf to assist with making a reservation, which we truly appreciated. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby transportation, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it a great base for exploring the city. Overall, the hospitality made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.
