💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! How I’d described it: Lindartun (Cute Cozy Homey Vibe) Room Type: 1 Queen Bed + 1 Sofa Bed Toilet: Private Bathroom (clean and big) Perks: Nice kitchen and dining area Thank you for helping me out with my aurora hunting and for maintaining a really cute and nice guesthouse, owner!

Clean, spacious, well equipt, family friendly and good customer service! 😊 Tough times are a blessing in disguise, it always reveals the true color of the people around us. We planned to stay in 2020 however Covid happened. Team was very understanding and accommodating to our predicament. It was a happy surprise to find premise exceeding our expectations too! Shoes are well organised with rack and oraginsers neatly stacked at entrance. Reception was friendly and informative. Room was clean and neat. In room wash basin was a big plus! There were 2 spacious and well equipt WCs to our section of 6-8rooms. 2 spacious dining areas, 1 large double fridge, 1 single fridge, spacious well equipt kitchen with various prep tables and 2-3+ sinks, pots/pans of various sizes, kitchen towels, utensils, cutleries, hot water dispenser, toaster, coffee percolator, sandwich press, oven, microwave, beverages and absolutely all one needs in the kitchen and more are furnished. It is also children friendly with baby chair, cot and safe play area provided. Rooms are well sectioned with family rooms assigned at the back, away from the hustle and bustle. There are also rooms in basement. There is also a washer/dryer and small drying rack at the far end, past kitchens and book cabinet with reading materials for the avid reader. We had a good comfortable night stay and hope you do too! 🙂

Me gustó la instalación porque estaba limpia y era agradable mirar hacia el cielo por la noche porque no había muchos edificios alrededor :) Si vuelvo a ir a Islandia más tarde, estoy dispuesto a visitarla nuevamente.

Es un hotel perfecto para viajeros que están en la carretera de Reykjavik & Vik, incluso si vayan a Skatafell. Está situado en una posición tranquila y tranquila y me dio un ambiente muy cómodo que están cansados. Más sorprendente es, El hotel está muy bien, pero no es un hotel muy bien. En la mañana, sirve desayuno gratis. Pero en la noche, podrá disfrutar de un buffet de alta calidad con un precio aceptable. Y me dieron un servicio muy amable con un verdadero sonrisa. Hay una pequeña carretera para llegar al lago a 5~10 minutos a pie. Cuando caminé, un hermoso perro del hotel me sigue y trata de excisar con él. También es una de una experiencia muy feliz. La vista al lago también es muy buena. Si alguien me pide que me quede otra vez, ”Claro, absolutamente.”

Pretty nice and extremely kind reception people. I love them. As usual like other hotels in Iceland, you should take a ride to get here. The hotel room was big enough and there were 3 beds in the room although I'm staying by myself. I love the way how the room is formed. I had two doors, one led me to the yard side and the other one faced the other rooms as well as the reception. IDK this is the general rule but the shower pressure was horrible. It took more than 30 minutes to take a shower. Speaking of the Hot tub, it was pretty small and adorable. But if you have plans to visit either Blue Lagoon or Secret Lagoon, You'd better skip this Hot tub.

La habitación era pequeña pero adecuada. El baño era demasiado pequeño, con un pequeño bañón. No había ningún jabón ni champú. La cortina de ducha estaba en la parte inferior. Había un jacuzzi compartido por las cuatro unidades de nuestro edificio, pero no había café, sólo azúcar. El restaurante era bueno para la cena, pero el desayuno incluido era pobre. Fuimos dados un copo con artículos preelectos. El croissant y el café fueron excelentes. Pasé en la harina de avena y pan de avena, que dejó un desayuno continental ligero. El hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de Islandia.

Best stay in Iceland! We received a super warm welcome upon our arrival. The hosts welcomed us with their homemade chocolate coffee cakes and cookies. The room was lovely and cosy and had an equipped kitchen and also a dining area. The hostel lobby also has a large kitchen where you may use any of the cooking supplies they provided. Each room had an easy access to the backyard with a lit up Christmas tree. The front of the hostel had an outdoor built hot tub for guests to use. Overall it was exceptionally nice, we loved our stay at The Garage.

Defectos: La habitación del hotel y el suelo son muy pesados, la limpieza no está limpia. El aislamiento de la habitación no es bueno, otros huéspedes hablan en el corredor, todo lo que se escucha es muy claro. Aunque el hotel es un hotel de cinco estrellas, el desayuno es más pequeño en pan, yogur, etc. que el hotel de tres estrellas que vivíamos en nuestro viaje. Ventajas: incluye desayuno, gran pastel. El tamaño de la habitación es también en estilo rural estadounidense. Y Ulong, que se presentó en mi habitación cuando se retiró, fue la cena de más de 40.000 monedas locales firmada por otros inquilinos. Me alegro de que otro servicio no lo haga.

La habitación es muy buena, los lechos son muy buenos, beso ok (lavado). Ducha, etc también limpio y no huele a azufre. Buen y muy amplio desayuno. Restaurante es bueno y tiene unas comidas deliciosas a un precio razonable. El servicio y el personal son amables y útiles, la ubicación está lejana, el supermercado está lejos. La playa de diamantes es relativamente cercana (30 minutos).
