We were welcomed warmly by Joanne who was so helpful and friendly. The room was stunning with a beautiful view of the river from the balcony. The bathroom is enormous and I have never seen such a colossal bathtub in a hotel room before. It was such a fantastic experience to soak in a tub so deep! I am tall and yet I couldn't reach the end of the tub! Then one evening we met Jasper who took great care of us too in the restaurant and the bar. Both Jasper and Joanne excelled in their care and we can't thank them enough! The location of the hotel is great for the Botanical Gardens... they even offer a buggy to take you to the gate! The spa was really relaxing and enjoyable. Came away feeling chilled and unwound! Would love to go back in the future!

出行前看天氣預報普者黑一連幾天有雨，因此打算選擇湖景的民宿，這樣即便是下雨也能在屋裡躺着看湖景。經過對比最終確定了名副其實的水月山民宿。
原本預訂的一樓臨池的湖景房，入住後店主關關姐帶我看了二、三層位置更好、價格更貴的房間讓我挑選，並免費升了級，着實讓人驚喜滿滿。選擇的三樓房間很大，硬件設施和衞生狀況都非常棒，雙面180度的湖景視野，無論是躺在床上、泡在浴缸裏還是坐在陽台的靠椅上，足不出户就能把普者黑的原生態景緻盡收眼底。
民宿離青龍山很近，直接走稻田台階小路過去不繞彎。小路雖然比較窄，但一路上看到了村民們在插秧、孩子們在追逐嬉戲、一家子圍着聊天，這份遠離城市的喧嘩、漫步在田間的原生態氣息不正是普者黑之行的意義所在嗎？
從青龍山回到民宿後雨水也會心而來。獨坐陽台，聽着淅瀝瀝的雨聲、聞着芬芳的空氣、望湖發呆，此行不過如此。感謝水月山，升級的不衹是房型、更是住户的感受和體驗；臨近的不衹是湖面、而是那份清新、寧靜和安逸。

Service:
All the staff were incredibly patient and helpful, both during our stay and even before it began. Their responses to our enquiries were almost instant. Not only that, they also helped us get a driver (on our own expenses) for various attractions. We also appreciate the night time goodies which they prepare for us every night e.g. yak milk and fruits and delivered to our room. We would give the entire service crew a 100/10 for going the extra mile for their guests.
Hotel:
Stunning views, adorable animals, and an excellent room! The amenities are adequate and beyond expectation e g. Dyson hair dryer, marshall speaker and projector -- everything was well thought of for our stay. There is also a free 20 min professional photography service with traditional costume for guests and we get to select 3 photos for our keepsake. We enjoyed our stay very much and wish to return!

UUsuario anónimoRoom is a bit small, but location is very good. We got green lake at the back, and old street nearby. Easy to order food. The only drawback is most of the taxi we ordered will stop in the middle of the road instead of infront of the hotel, since the hotel located on the street where they can't stop (or maybe it's just an excuse from our taxi driver).
Breakfast is so-so and cheaper if you buy at least a day before with the receptionist. But i think it is better to just order food outside. They deliver the food to the room with delivery robot.
Laundry room is a big plus for this hotel! We got to get back home with clean clothes.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

La noche se siente un poco fría. Es muy lamentable que no me traiga el abrigo en 5 minutos. Satisfacción especial de la vivienda 👍

GGRACEOur stay at Dali Xingmai Mountain and Sea View Homestay was pleasant overall and a good value for its price, especially if you're seeking a peaceful retreat in the quieter part of Dali. Traveling as a family, we were looking for a place that offered serene sea views, and this homestay mostly delivered on that. While there is some ongoing construction in front of the building that slightly affects the view, the surrounding scenery is still beautiful and calming. The cleanliness of the homestay was satisfactory, and it offers a good range of amenities. The kitchen, in particular, is well-equipped, making it a great option for families or groups of friends planning to cook and enjoy meals together. However, if you're simply traveling for leisure and don't plan to spend much time at the homestay, you may find the kitchen unnecessary. One thing to note is that there is no central air conditioning or heating system. The homestay provides a bed warmer (which works well) and a small air-conditioning unit in the living room, but the bedrooms can get quite chilly at night, especially during winter. It's something to consider if you're visiting during colder months. In terms of location, this homestay is ideal if you're looking to unwind in a quiet and restful environment. However, for those planning a busy schedule with visits to Dali's main attractions, the distance might be a drawback. The homestay is located in a residential area, and getting to most tourist spots can take 45-60 minutes by car, whether you're heading to the west or east side of Erhai Lake. There are also no nearby F&B stores except one small restaurant in the building next door so make sure you eat in the city areas before coming back to the inn. That said, if you're staying for a longer duration and prefer a relaxed, free-and-easy itinerary, this could be a suitable choice given its amenities like the kitchen and laundry facilities. It's also worth mentioning that this homestay feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional inn. It's situated in a residential building, with the entrance being a carpark and access through an elevator to a residential unit. There’s no lobby, service counter, or common areas. Instead, check-in and assistance are handled through WeChat. Despite some of the drawbacks, the service here truly stood out. The staff member assisting us was incredibly kind, prompt, and accommodating. Whenever we had questions or faced minor issues, she responded quickly and made every effort to resolve them, which helped make our trip smoother. Her attentiveness and helpfulness were a highlight of our stay and left a positive impression. While this homestay may not have been our favorite, the excellent service and peaceful setting make it a decent choice for travelers prioritizing quiet and self-sufficiency over convenience and luxury.

They even offered to help us order halal food from resto outside, as they saw us struggling finding one nearby, and to our surprise they rejected when we wanted to pay. As Muslim travelers, we truly appreciated the convenient location—nestled in the charming, rustic old town yet just a short walk from the main road, making it easy to find halal meals without trekking far or uphill. The modern toilet with a bidet was a delightful surprise and added so much comfort to our stay.

Debido a que estaba lloviendo, había un camino embarrado fuera de la ventana. El paisaje no era una ventaja sino un inconveniente, lo cual fue un poco decepcionante.
El agua en la ducha y el lavabo era muy pequeña. El jefe dijo que lo sabía pero que no había tenido tiempo de arreglarlo.
El jefe no tomó la iniciativa de ofrecer té de la tarde, frutas, ropa tibetana, etc., mencionado en el paquete. ¿Cómo puedo decirlo? Si no existen estos servicios de valor añadido y es sólo alojamiento, desayuno y leche, no hay relación calidad-precio. Todavía hay mucho margen de mejora en el servicio, especialmente en los días de lluvia cuando el paisaje del hotel no puede ser una ventaja.
Debería estar bien en un día soleado, pero no recomiendo conducir hasta aquí en un día lluvioso.
