Shalinda WIf you don’t speak the local language, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was incredibly difficult getting both on, and off the mountain “scenic area”. Some hotels in Trip reached out to us in advance to help coordinate transportation, this one does not. Your only way to contact the hotel is by calling, which isn’t feasible if you don’t speak the language. The hotel website showed that parking was available, so I thought we would be able to get there by DiDi, as long as I paid the fee to get the car into the park. This was not the case. We did see private vehicles, but I’m not sure what goes into that, but I believe 4 wheel drive is one requirement. So with our luggage, he dropped us off at the base of the mountain. It took a little while to get to the ticket office, you have to walk up several stairs and through a cobblestone market to get there, so we got nice and sweaty and uncomfortable. From there, you take a bus (ours had no underside luggage stowage) about halfway up to another stop. We had to awkwardly hold our luggage in the aisle of a full bus, while going up-hill and doing switch-backs. Everyone gets off about halfway-way up, at a station with several different buses. We asked for help and someone pointed us to the correct one. From the final bus stop up top, it was a short walk to the hotel. We figured going down would be much smoother, but after getting off the first bus, we accidentally got on the wrong one and started going back up. Overall, took us about 2.5 hours from the airport to the hotel, then just over three hours from hotel to the HSR station.
Minor descriptions for the room were inaccurate. Ours was listed as on floor 3 or 4, it was actually basement level. The hotel is in the edge of the mountain, so it still had a scenic view. The window in our room was dirty (I expected more for what we were paying). The hand soap in the bathroom was in a re-used bottle and was watered down. Listed amenities said sauna and massage room, there are neither here (nor was there an offer of other local places to go when I asked).
The breakfast food was amazing, including a hot, fresh bar with a chef making eggs and noodles. I wasn’t able to partake in the noodles one day because of the language barrier. Hotel staff was more hesitant than other places we’ve stayed in using translation tools and I felt like too much of an inconvenience in using them to ask for noodles. There is bottled water in the rooms, you can ask for more for free (they friended me via WeChat on Check-In and is largely how we communicated). There is free tea and snacks in the afternoon, the hotel was quiet so we were able to take up one of two seats that had an amazing view outside. The staff working the tea time was great and super courteous. You can hike to South Crag Palace and Nanyan Palace by foot, both are absolutely stunning.
In summary, if we were to visit the area again, I would stay at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain (not in the scenic area) and use the day exploring/getting lost on the bus. While the view was great, it simply wasn’t worth the high price and the difficulty in getting there for non-locals. If I knew a hotel in the scenic area would reach out to me in advance to assist, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, with the way Trip.com works right now, hotels have to initiate that, guests cannot. I don’t recommend this hotel for non-native speakers.

A good hotel with excellent service! The staff doesn't speak English, but they are very welcoming and friendly. They helped us with all our questions using a translator. There's a laundry room and a gym on the 16th floor. The only disappointing thing was the cleaning. The rooms are new, but quite dirty. The floor is sticky, and there was ash in the toilet as soon as we checked in, and it wasn't cleaned during our entire stay.

JuujuuHuAlthough this hostel is clean, there's many issue although it is the price you pay for it.
1. Yes it was listed to have KTV nearby, but wasn't expect to hear it very loud like it was next door, yet it was down one level. Walls are super thin, so you can hear from the common room if people are singing. There was a group of aunties and uncles singing between 8-10pm. If planning to sleep before 10pm, make sure to wear earplugs otherwise wait till 10pm.
2. Key card having so much issues and it wasn't just me, but my roommates as well. Opening locker was a pain in the ass, literally tapping non stop yet had to get it reactivated, and going back to receptionist many times, only to be told: once u tap the keycard, push in then pull it opened, and it did.
3. Lack of aircon in room to adjust, it is fixed, so if it's too hot, will need to bear with it. Temperature is alright the longer you are in the room.
4. The mattress js as if it's like sleeping on those Chinese wood bed without the mattress. I love my bed firm, but mine felt like it had a plank than the mattress underneath it. Bed is super creaky so every single move made a sound, felt like it was just mine. The mattress is sitting on top of a wood plank on top of the bunk bed, which is interesting. At least it straightened my posture.
5. The toilets are like public toilets where you must remember to carry toilet paper with you otherwise there's none awaiting you in there. Lots of squats so really good for many people living.
6. For the shower rooms, make sure to close the curtain properly otherwise privacy is gone, door is just a curtain 3/4 full. Water pressure is great, lots of space to move around, both dry and wet area, lots of space to store stuff too.
7. Location is great, like really nice. Getting to the metro felt sketchy at first but it is close by 7min walk. Surrounded by Chinese sports brands, you have milk tea stores near by as well as food. Can see the Yellow Cane tower as well. Luckin coffee is opposite of the building.
Overall, I wouldn't stay here again, but the price is actually good for what you get, just not the best but it does have everything you need that are basic level.

Jayme H.Staying at Pujian Courtyard-Style Hotel in Enshi Tujia Girl’s Town felt like discovering a quiet world hidden inside the heart of the city.
From the outside, Enshi Daughter City is full of energy, culture, music, food, and traditional Tujia charm. But the moment you step into Pujian, everything slows down. The hotel feels calm, private, and beautifully designed, with courtyard spaces, wooden tea tables, soft natural light, garden views, and elegant Chinese-style details throughout.
One of the most memorable parts of the stay was the atmosphere. It does not feel like a standard hotel. It feels more like a peaceful residence, where every corner has been thoughtfully arranged. The round moon gate window, the quiet garden courtyard, the tea rooms, the shaded seating areas, and the traditional-style architecture all create a relaxing escape from the busy streets outside.
This is the kind of place where you can wake up slowly, enjoy tea in the courtyard, listen to the quiet, and still be close to the cultural life of Enshi Tujia Girl’s Town. It is perfect for travelers who want more than just a room. It offers a sense of place.
The design blends modern comfort with local character. The wooden furniture, tea sets, plants, stone details, and courtyard layout make the hotel feel connected to Enshi’s culture and landscape. It is especially beautiful during the day when sunlight moves through the garden and reflects across the clean, peaceful interior spaces.
For anyone visiting Enshi, this hotel is a wonderful choice if you want to experience both convenience and calm. You are close to the charm of Daughter City, but once inside the hotel, it feels private, refined, and deeply relaxing.
Pujian Courtyard-Style Hotel is not just a place to sleep. It is part of the Enshi experience itself — a quiet courtyard, a cup of tea, a peaceful pause, and a beautiful way to feel the spirit of Tujia Girl’s Town.
Highly recommended for couples, culture lovers, tea lovers, and travelers who enjoy boutique hotels with atmosphere and character.
