We stayed here for 2 nights to the tune of $450 including tax. Went to front desk to let them know that the faucet was leaking. Guy was polite and said someone would fix the next day, but no-one ever came. After spending more time in the room noticed the bathroom had a weird smell. Saw that the wallpaper next to tub was loose so looked behind it and you can see black mold. All around the tub was also moldy looking. When sitting in the chair I looked down at the bed skirt/box spring covering and could see some nasty looking stains. Super grossed out. The first night we asked if we could switch rooms but the guy told me they were sold out. Upon check out, presented pics to desk clerk. No manager was on duty so she said she would have someone call me. Just now a couple days later I am home and get the call. The manager told me she could not further discount my room because I got an AARP discount. I'm not sure if that is true or not because our receipt does not reflect that, but I said that has nothing to do with the filthy condition of the room and she says well I can't discount you but she thanked me for bringing to their attention so they could fix the problem. I told her alright then....this will be reflected in my yelp reveiw. She says ok and thanks again. I guess she does not care if I post the pics from the room....so here they are. Stay here at your own risk!

Admittedly, this was a busy time to book (CSU family weekend/homecoming), which is why I booked (or thought I did) almost two months early. We drove 8 hours from Omaha and arrived to spend time with our freshman daughter then decided to check in to our hotel room at roughly 9:30 pm. The place was a little run down but looked ok for sleep and to enjoy a hot breakfast (or so we thought...side note; the website says breakfast is included - IT IS NOT). When you get there the front desk has a sign that acknowledges that fact and says the website is indeed incorrect and there is no breakfast included. The sign also says they are working to fix that mistake on the website. Apparently, in 2023, updating a website is hard work because the website still says you get a free breakfast. I was slightly alarmed when I walked up the check-in area because there were multiple people stacked up to get in, all looking fairly upset. Once it was my turn, I was told that there were no rooms left and that they overbooked multiple people (perhaps this room went to the poor person who got charged multiple hundreds of dollars per night at the gouge rate instead of me, who booked in advance - shady s&^t man). Then I was told that there was an option for me to get a room - they were going to give me a voucher for another property and I would be honored there. No problem except - THE PROPERYT WAS TWO HOURS AWAY!!! I don't know about you, but after driving 8 hours to get there and having toured campus and other areas all day, the prospect of driving two hours away (at 9:30 pm) and then two hours back the next morning, multiple times over the weekend was not very appealing to me. This is where I was told there was nothing else they could do for me (they hadn't actually done anything yet). I declined the voucher and was told, ”don't worry, we're not going to charge you for the room.” HA!!! Now we enter scramble mode. As stated, this was a busy weekend so finding a hotel room was not easy. We called around many hotels and finally found one room, which we booked for the only night they had available (which meant we also had to find a room for the next night too). Cost - $400 per night for each hotel = $800 for two nights and a nice move from one hotel to the other in the middle of the weekend. I booked two months early for a bill that would have been ~$250. So, because some hotel chain doesn't understand what a ”reservation” actually means (anyone watch Seinfeld:)), I'm out about $550. This is of course, unless Guest Services for Choice Hotels decides to do something (something else I get do...call and argue with a hotel chain and deal with that). No one at the actual hotel was willing to do anything ”else” for us - just sent us packing. Thanks Clarion, Fort Collins for making what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend enjoying family a pain in the A%$...be warned anyone looking to stay here.

We had a great stay at the 4 Seasons inn. It is conveniently located a little bit outside of Estes Park in a tranquil area with nice Mountain View’s. We stayed on the upper floor of the building next to the main building and the room was kind of cabin style, with a fireplace, a super comfy king size bed, a kitchenette and a good sized bathroom. The room was clean, taste fully decorated and was equipped with everything that is eventually needed for an extended stay. The only thing that caught our attention was the outdated fridge/stove/sink combination which soon will need a replacement. We did not had a chance to interact with staff during our visit since we arrived late and left early, however it seems that they perfectly know, how to run the business keeping the whole site in good shape. The river passing by on the property is a nice addition and was relaxing as well. Overall we had a great experience at this property and hope to be back one day.

If you are thinking about booking the Gunnison Inn, don't think any longer. Book it now! This Inn is well maintained, appears to have been recently renovated, is super clean and the staff is attentive. We were in room 120 which was wonderful. The room was fresh, had new finishes and furniture and was very clean. The only recommendation I would offer the hotel is to include a chair or bench in the room containing the shower and commode, simply because it's a large space and it would be nice to put clothing down. There is a hook on the wall but if you are changing it is nice to have a place to lay additional items. The sink is conveniently located outside the shower area so someone can shower while another gets ready for the day. As a person who rates hotels on safety, I give this hotel a 98%. It is well lit, the rooms with drive up outdoor access can also be accessed by an interior corridor door. So, the room has two entrance doors. We did find one window unlocked so check to be sure the windows are locked when you enter the room. The complimentary breakfast was good. It is presented as continental but there are proteins available- yogurt, hard boiled eggs and on our visit, biscuits and gravy. This along with the usual assortment of cereals, fruit and breads/pastries, was more than adequate. Coffee is not available in your room but is plentiful in the breakfast area. I would stay at Gunnison Inn again at a moment's notice. Enjoy your stay!!!

We arrived late at night after a long day of driving. All we wanted was a bed to go to sleep in and a shower in the morning before we hit the road, didn't need anything fancy. Initially the front desk employee said there was only a single queen room which would not work for us so we decided to leave. As we started out he said he could give us a room with two beds so we returned to the counter and completed the booking. When we returned from the parking lot with our bags, the front desk employee said he had a different room downstairs so he gave us keys for those instead. When we got to the room it had obviously not been cleaned yet. Beds had been slept in, trash was visible. We went back to the desk and were given keys to the original room. As we walked up to the room I could already tell we might have problems. The stairs were stained and dirty and did not appear to have been vacuumed in quite awhile. Walking down the hallway it was obvious the floors hadn't been mopped in awhile either. We entered the room and it was nothing special, but it had two beds and a shower. I could see the floor had not been swept or mopped and looked dirty. The bathroom was dirty, urine and hairs around the base of the toilet, bathtub looked iffy but might have been stains. Hairs on the sink. There were numerous dead bugs on the window sill My wife and I were disgusted and debated leaving, but it was after 11:00 p.m. At that point and we were very tired, it had been a long day. We knew the hotel didn't have any other rooms with two beds. We didn't want to go through checking out and driving somewhere else and hoping they had a room. So we inspected the bedsheets to be sure they at least looked clean and they seemed fine so we decided to live with it for the night. After all, we were going to sleep, wake up, shower and leave. We ONLY stayed the night due to our exhaustion, and knowledge that there were no other rooms of the same type to move to. The room was completely unacceptable in any other circumstances. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my life, and this was by far the worst. The property was far below the minimum standards a guest would expect. The property owners should be embarrassed that a room was presented to guests in that condition. They should be ashamed that their common areas were so dirty. But it's obvious based on many other reviews here that they just flat do not care or these issues would be addressed. The evidently don't care at all about their guests. Rodeway Inn and Choice Hotels should be mortified that their franchisee or manager is representing their business name and reputation in that manner. Seriously, go ANYWHERE else, you don't want to stay here.

This OVER-PRICED Motel advertises a HOT BREAKFAST and it does NOT deliver, unless you consider one Belgium Waffle maker a hot breakfast. This is a $80 caliber Motel charging $130 only because they can. But for the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge RR, this place would go bust. The train trip is well worth the visit, but suggest you stay elsewhere for the price. The Young man on the Desk during the day and afternoon was a true delight and is eager to be helpful. Im sure if he treid, he could get a better paying job with real advancement opportunity. The room was marginally clean. The bath tube was not. We were there two nights. It was cleaner after we showred! There is NO nightstand on the left side of the bed. The A/C is an old window unit place high onto a wall over the bath vanity. A bit noisy but it worked. The location is two mile from downtown and the train station. An easy commute.

# Alabanza # satisface la comodidad del transporte; justo cerca del número 70, una buena elección por la noche, el desayuno está bien, comida caliente, si usted no es muy exigente para el desayuno y la alojamiento, el precio es bueno para el hotel básico.

Had reservations for 3 nights. To start off, when checking in I was told we are on the second floor. When I asked where the elevator was, she laughed. Said no elevator, you'll have to carry your bags up. Fine, we can manage. After visiting people, the next day, returned to our room before dinner only to find we had no maid service. Went down to front desk only to be told rudely that they only do maid service every 3 days. I asked him to show me that on my conformation or receipt, he stammers and said he couldn't find it. So back up the stairs. Coming back from dinner couldn't get into our room. So back down the stairs to the front desk. The girl just laughed and said they dated our key wrong. Okay back up the stairs. Next day getting back to the room still no maid service. Now no clean towels or face cloths. Kleenex has run out, and so has coffee for the in-room pot. So, I go back down the stairs and ask at the desk for some coffee. She looks and says they are out. But will give me tea packets. Our last morning breakfast before checking out, coffee pots out of coffee. The person tending the breakfast room when asked if we can get coffee, proclaimed he's very busy and will get some as soon as he has time. Maybe 10 people standing around with empty cups. And I should say the trail of breakfast cereal up the stairs and down the hallway, stayed there all 3 days. Service like this I would expect from a lower-class hotel. But not from Quality Inn. Especially for $140,00 a night. GO ELSWHERE IF YOU CAN!!!!!

We stopped here for the night on our way to Denver. Checked in at midnight. The desk clerk was very kind. The room was decent. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet, even in the morning when it's usually a bit loud with people hitting the road. It could have been a tad cleaner, but for the money, it can't be beat. There are restaurants right next door. No need to drive to find food, which I appreciate.
