My stay at CERVO Mountain Resort was truly exceptional from start to finish. Everything was perfect – from the seamless check-in to the warm farewell. The breakfast was a standout: fresh, beautifully presented, and featuring a wide variety of high-quality local and international options. It was the perfect way to start each day while enjoying stunning mountain views. The staff were outstanding – incredibly attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. They made me feel genuinely welcome and taken care of throughout my stay. The location couldn’t be better. Nestled right on the mountain, the resort offers breathtaking views and easy access to both the slopes and the heart of Zermatt. Whether you’re skiing, hiking, or just relaxing, everything you need is right at your doorstep. I can’t recommend CERVO highly enough – it’s the perfect alpine escape. I’ll definitely be coming back.

💔 If you’re a mom reading this — please don’t risk it. Our stay at Hotel Cervo in Zermatt (April 14–20) was one of the most stressful and heartbreaking experiences we’ve ever had as a family. We came with our 11-year-old son, expecting something truly special. We paid 12,000 CHF for what was supposed to be a luxury five-star retreat. Instead, it felt like survival. On April 16, a snowstorm hit and power went out across town. Locals told us this happens nearly every April — but the hotel had no generator, no plan, no support. We had no electricity, no heating, and no hot water for three full days. And hot water never came back for the rest of our stay. I couldn’t even wash my hair. The water was painfully cold. I had to help my son shower in freezing water while he stood there shivering and begging me not to make him do it. I kept a calm face, but inside I was panicking. I’ve never felt so helpless on a trip. Then came the food. It tasted fine, but I felt uneasy after every meal. I didn’t understand why — until one morning we walked into the buffet and saw mice running across the food stations. Two of them were even mating near the bread. I felt physically sick. When we told the staff, they said: “It’s nature.” That was the entire response. Not even an apology. This isn’t nature — this is unsanitary and unacceptable, especially in a place that calls itself five-star. By April 17, other places in town had power back — we had to walk to a hotel 200 meters away just to charge our phones. Meanwhile, Cervo stayed dark and silent, as if nothing was wrong. I spent most of the week trying to keep my child warm, protect his health, and hide the fact that I was close to tears. Please, don’t make the same mistake we did. Cervo looks beautiful online, but if anything goes wrong, you’re completely on your own. There is no care, no responsibility, and no one looking out for you. Just stay away.

Since we discovered Cervo Resort thanks to some friends two years ago, our experience in Zermatt has been truly transformative. I celebrated my 50th birthday at this magnificent place, and since then, we have returned for the third consecutive year, with the firm hope that this tradition will continue for many more years. Cervo Resort has not only provided us with a luxurious retreat but has also created a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes us feel at home. Every corner of the resort reflects a meticulous attention to detail that enhances the quality of our stay, from the facilities to the exceptional service of the staff. The cuisine is another highlight; every meal is a true delight, where creativity and quality ingredients come together to offer an unforgettable culinary experience. Zermatt, with its stunning landscapes and the majesty of the Matterhorn, has had a positive impact on our lives and remains our favorite destination to disconnect and recharge. We are eager to return next year and hope that this wonderful experience continues to enrich our lives in the years to come. Cervo Resort and Zermatt will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Let me make this easy for you to book this place : Cervo might be the single most important reason why we are not yet buying our place in the alps yet, mainly because staying at Cervo is so convenient. Ski in-out Super comfy Super friendly staff Great amenities Super cool hot pool Great taste of the owner, it feels 'high end' without feeling pompous This was our second time going to Cervo, and we thought it was even better. Shoutout to the staff to helping us out whilst my wife unfortunately got injured skiing, they have shown that during good, or bad days, they are there for their guests. We will 100% come back next year when she is back on her feet!

We had a lovely stay in Zermatt at the Cervo. The Cervo team were super friendly with us and helpful. The food at the Bazaar was great and it's nice to experience flavor from the middle East!! The only negative point that we will give concern people respect from other guest. We spent a few hours at the spa and a group of people travelling together were always speaking out loud in the different room they come. They keep coming in and out opening doors so that disturb the area and they were nearly screaming in there. A real miss respecting way for other guest. People running the spa should keep an eye on this type of groups and remind them of the rules and respect. Otherwise everything was great!! We will be back one day!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! This hotel is 100% on my list to come back to for so many reasons!! Firstly, the moment I walked in I was welcomed and offered a seat in a sitting area to do the check in and a prosecco, what service!! When I got to the room, wow!! Super luxury mountain lodge feel, it's technically ski in and ski out as the tunnel to the chair lift is connected to the hotel and one of the runs ends at the reception of the hotel, it wasn't open yet when I visited but it did have snow and soon to be ready for ski in and ski out. But back to the room, it had a full bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower and a huge basin area for getting ready, girls if you know you know! The view from my room was stunning! It looked out to the snow and some of the trees and did I say snow?? It was magical!! They also had a lot of wellness options at the hotel such as day spa, sauna, steamboats and my favourite was the outside onsen (jacuzzi) that looked out to... you guessed it... the snow covered mountain, it was honestly incredible - freezing when you got out, but a hot shower fixed that up!! The restaurants and bars were great. The first night I dined at the restaurant upstairs (unsure of the name, but even though I was a solo traveller, we were travelling as a group but stayed in solo rooms) and dined in the private dining room, the food here was exceptional and the wines to match the meal were great. The restaurant downstairs where you have breakfast of a morning, turns into a dinner venue of an evening and is very Moroccan inspired food. The flavours were incredible and the chefs did a great job. There was a little issue with a prosecco not being brought out 2 times to our group once they'd been ordered, but the staff resolved it and it didn't affect the stay or experience at all. The only thing here was the usual European adapters didn't work in the room, but the lovely staff in reception loaned me a Swiss plug/adapater that I could use. The most amazing thing about the hotel is the staff. I accidentally left my bag at another venue and was so worried as it had my phone and my wallet inside, and the staff did everything, they paid for my taxi fare (put it on my room charge to settle the next day/check out) and they investigated all of the venues in the area and called them to retrieve my bag and my phone. Nothing was taken from it and I was and still am so so grateful! The general manager even came to say hello at dinner and bidded us a good farewell on our last night (this was before the bag incident). I've also received a follow up email from the hotel post stay to check in and see that everything was okay. In all honesty, I don't think I've had such a personalised experience at a luxury hotel of this size before, it felt like a small boutique hotel, but from the looks of it, they had quite a few rooms and customers coming and going for food and drinks. Cannot recommend enough, and cannot wait to return again someday!!
