Vaya Zell am See Inklusive Zell am See Kaprun Sommer Karte

ski-in/out hotel in Zell am See - part of the Vaya concept. The hotel is a little outside the city centre which is fine if you come for the skiing. We didn't have great snow in the area by the hotel so ended up driving to the kaprun glacier anyway. Food and service are ok, nothing amazing but fine. pool/sauna area is a bit small and full of kids when we were there.

The rooms were ok for 3 of us ( Dad + 2 sons) There was a fridge in room with nothing in it. Also no supermarket nearby to even stock it up. The room was warm with no way to adjust the temperature so we ended up leaving the window open. There was a coffee machine in the room with about 5 complementary capsules. No long life milk either. Once you run out off capsules you have to buy the at reception - which feels like the hotel is on a tight budget. There's one lift which is very small. Shower was good and strangely the sink was right by the front door rather than being in the shower/toilet area. Food is passable but not luxurious and similar each day. You have to pay for drinks including water (I think that is normal in Austria) Breakfast is the same everyday. The swimming pool is freezing so ok if you like cold water swimming, but not what I want to sooth my aching legs after a day's skiing. The jacuzzi is literally a bath tub with air jets, so hard to fit more than one in. Both these contribute to the 'tight budget' feeling. Sauna is naked which was off putting for my teenage son. So for me the wellness facilities were a waste of money. Outside Apes ski bar was shut even at high season - no famous Austrian apres ski here Ski to your door is limited as you either need to come from the nursery slopes or down one of the 2 black runs to make it. Otherwise you have to come down red 20 and walk a little bit. We were woken up twice before 9am for room service as we forgot to put the sign out to keep them away. It annoyed me but you may like the attentiveness My opinion is it is not very hospitable, and rather off putting and not worth the money I paid at peak season. I won't go back. That said it may be just what you want.

Lovely hotel in an idyllic setting next to cable cars and bus stop. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to town and very hilly. Regular bus to bring back up. Had a superior room with French balcony for enjoying the views. Excellent room cleaning daily and towels changed as required. Bathrobe slippers and towel provided for enjoying the indoor pool. The pool was small but ideal for quick swim after long day out. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Shout out to restaurant staff who were always smiling and helped with translating menu. A good variety of food both at breakfast and dinner. Dinner main meal choices included meat, fish and vegetarian option. Used the bar a couple of nights and this included a good cocktail selection. Overall a lovely hotel to base yourself in Zell am See. The inclusion of Summer Card for activities, boat rides, public transport and much more was included with the hotel and was exceptional. Would definitely return.

Loved Vaya! Lady on reception was lovely and welcoming. Facilities were fantastic (sauna & steam on a daily basis were perfect in the cold weather). Bedroom was clean, comfortable and not to forget the most stunning views on the slopes. The food was amazing! One of the best half board hotels I’ve had the pleasure to eat it! Fresh tasty food cooked for each meal. Our waiter wasn’t particularly freindly but perhaps he was having a bad week :) Thanks Vaya, we will definitely be coming back! Room 308 16th - 19th Feb

I have just returned from a week long stay in Vaya Zell am See and I had a great stay. Hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Special mention to the lady on reception who greeted us on arrival on the Sunday night (apologises I can't remember her name) and bar/waiter's Pavel and Mato, who could not do enough for us. They were very friendly, professional and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from a three night stay at the VAYA, Zell am See. Hotel staff is pleasant and you can feel and see that they are top professionals in their job! The room was very spacious, clean and tidy, a spa bag was on the bed with a robe, slippers and a towel for the inner pool. The breakfast was superb, everything you want and more, from cereals, fresh fruit, breads, pastries,bacon, eggs, ham, cheese, salads... Dinner was also delicious and plentiful, with a buffet style for the first day. Second day we enjoyed Austrian dishes prepared by Chef Gary. Superb taste and quality of the food! Third night was a steak night! Fantastic!The hotel bar was very welcoming with seats looking on to the slopes. We took a trip to mountain nearby, location of the hotel is just nearby the ski lifts which will take you up there. We also went to Gipfelwelt 3000 meters panoramic platform, at the top of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. We will definitely return!!!
