What a truly amazing place Kopano Lodge is, set right beside a watering hole, stunning design blending in with the surrounding environment whilst offering true luxury to your guests - every detail and possible need was thought about and covered, and the whole team looked after us so well, none of us wanted to leave. Our biggest thank you goes to our guide for our stay - Mike. Such a passion and knowledge about every animal and bird ensured that we all fell totally in love with Madikwe and all plan to return as soon as we can

My family and I stayed at Lelapa Lodge at the Madikwe Safari Lodge for 4 nights and it was the most spectacular vacation ever! The accommodation were 1st class and the staff was very attentive and eager to attend to our every need. Our guide, Aubrey was fantastic!! His knowledge of the animals, their habits , plants as well st the stars was very impressive!!! We went on 8 game drives and each one was different. Aubrey made sure we saw the big 10 plus many more animals.. I would highly recommend this facility and the adventures had were incredible!!

We had a fantastic five-night stay at the Madikwe Safari Lodge. The accommodation was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Petrus, our guide, was brilliant - he made sure we saw the Bug Five plus a whole lot more! Great fun to have lunch by the pool whilst watching the elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and impalas at the watering hole. I would highly recommend the Madikwe Safari Lodge!

Just returned home from 4 days at Madikwe safari lodge, 3 generations with 2 children aged 8 & 6. Wow! What a wonderful place, such a beautiful location , top quality accommodation, and the quality & choice of food was exceptional . The game viewing was brilliant, not quite the quantity of game that you get in Kruger area, but plenty to see and the professionalism & talent of our wonderful guide Nell , made sure we had a great selection of sightings & experiences. The staff at the lodge were all fabulous, particularly like to mention Maureen & Jonathan, but every single staff member was efficient, friendly & courteous. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them & It was a joy to be with them. We created memories to last a lifetime. Thank you Madikwe lodge. Feel privileged to have been there.

We stayed at Dithaba for 4 nights and from start to finish our trip was magical. Rebecca and Joyce looked after us in the house and made sure we never wanted for anything, they were so welcoming and we felt so at home. The chef kept us extremely well fed and every meal and snack was outstanding. Our two game drivers, Mike and Peter, were fantastic, very informative and knowledgeable and also great with our 12 year old son. They were incredibly friendly and had such warmth in their personalities. We saw all of the big 5 as well as many others and every game drive felt like a learning experience. Mike in particular had a clear passion for ecology and sharing his wealth of knowledge, we were sad to not be able to take him to our next lodge! I couldn't fault anything and would recommend Dithaba to anyone and everyone, thank you for helping us make memories of a lifetime.

Our stay at Madikwe Safari Lodge was nothing short of extraordinary. The lodge itself is beautifully designed, with luxurious suites that offer both comfort and breathtaking views of the bushveld. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their warmth and professionalism created a truly memorable experience. Game drives were exceptional, with knowledgeable guides who brought the wilderness to life. From the delicious meals to the serene atmosphere, every detail was thoughtfully curated. This is more than just a safari... it is a soul-enriching experience. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

I had been recommended Lepala Lodge by a friend and it was the most superb holiday from start to finish. I was there on my own with two boys aged 11 and 13 and we all agreed it was our best ever holiday. The staff were incredible and we were made to feel part of a family immediately. Our guide Aubrey collected us from the air strip and we were transported to a magical adventure. (The Federal airlines flight was extremely professional and well run but the small plane is not for the anxious flyer!). The game drives were exceptional and we could have all kept doing them for weeks but only had four nights. Every day there was something different and there was such a fabulous and varied food choice - from a crumpet stop in the bush to a BOMA family style bbq with singing - always a surprise and very welcome. The kids were totally engaged throughout the whole stay and didn’t even argue for the whole week!! We saw so much game and were able to get so close without causing issues to the animals it was very well managed. Overall Aubrey our guide was fabulous, Junior, Rebecca, Rhona were great and Kelsey and Byron organised and took us on a truly fantastic adventure to take professional photographs- managed in a way that even my boys didn’t mind! The only thing I would do would be to take more warm clothes and not bother with swimming stuff as the pool was freezing in the winter!

We highly recommend Lelapo lodge. The game reserve (Madikwe) is huge and has a brilliant variety of animals with beautiful views and sunrises/ sunsets. The lodge is excellent. Rooms are large, have plunge pools, outside showers, fires, ac and heating, comfy beds and are clean and extremely comfortable. On site there is a communal pool, gyms and spa. The water hole is very active and the view stunning. Younger kids get really well looked after with heaps of activities. The lodge runs so smoothly, food is varied, plentiful and excellent. Try to stay on a night a BOMA is scheduled as it is a special evening under the stars. The staff are all delightful and go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay possible. Andrew, Bally, Frank, Rob, Gerty and many others. Best of all…Mitch was our game driver and he has been there nine years and was superb. It made for a wonderful holiday and very precious memories.

What we experienced at Madikwe safari Lodge was exemplary in every way. The people make it special, the standard of service makes it special - everything about the lodge makes it special. It is the only time we have left a holiday location feeling genuinely sad to be leaving. This place, and its people, make it an absolute gem to visit. We would love to return one day!
