Just come back from 11 nights stay at this lovely 5 star hotel in Tsilivi Zakynthos. Stayed with friends ( another couple) and had a glorious time. We booked bed and breakfast ( recommended) as there so many different bars and restaurants in walking distance it would be a crime to miss out on some fabulous local dining experiences. We travelled with TUI and had requested upper rooms close to our friends . On arrival we were greeted by one of the very professional and friendly team at main reception. Check-in was seamless and we were soon shown to our rooms. We were initially unhappy with the room provided , due to its location and it appears that our request via TUI at time of booking was not passed on. However an alternative room was provided within a few days so all was well! The hotel is spotlessly clean and it felt at times that there were more staff on hand than guests. This is not a bad thing though as it takes a large team to keep the two pool areas, grounds, rooms etc clean. Plus there's always someone around to take drinks orders. There are two Pools, one for families and a smaller one to the side which is for adults only. I believe the hotel capacity is 120 rooms, and there does not appear to sufficient sun beds to cater for everyone. That said we only encountered a few occasions where people had put towels on sunbeds and then didn't appear until after midday. Thankfully the hotel staff are pretty vigilant and will remove towels on unused sun beds. Rooms: We stayed on the first floor , room 533 and whilst the view wasn't particularly pretty, it did offer both sunshine and shade during the various times of the day. The actual room was spotless and cleaned daily. Towels were replaced daily and beds turned down. Aircon was a little sporadic but reception did reset for us and from then onwards we had no further issues. Food: We only booked B&B so only experienced breakfast , which provided plenty of choice for both continental and English tastes. There's plenty of cooked choices , fresh fruit, bread , toast , cheese etc and Teas and Coffees on tap from the large numbers of serving staff. We usually ate around 8.30 and always had a table outside, but any later and the restaurant does soon fill up so be warned. The staff at the hotel are first class and really attentive . In particular I must mention "Fofi" our favourite staff member who worked the main bar in the hotel in the evenings. Fabulously friendly, chatty and always remembered our drinks. She offered us local vodka shots one night and we toasted her Sons recent graduation at University . She is a great ambassador for this fine hotel so i hope the management recognise her contributions, as it was Fofi that brought us back each night for a Nightcap or two. Andrew and Dina were also super professional and again always made time to chat with us and ensured we had drinks as and when required. I can't really offer any criticism to the hotel, but i'd like t
