We had an amazing experience at Matilda Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist greeted us with such warmth and politeness, making us feel welcome right away. The staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast – hands down, the best we've had in a long time! To top it all off, the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to such a stunning scene each morning made our stay unforgettable.

Hotel with a very nice family atmosphere and environment. Very good for families and those who like calm places far away from loud. Staff is very helpful, kind and will care for you anytime. Dinners and breakfasts are very good. Rooms are clean. Only disadvantage is that the main beach is a bit far away. However there is a smaller one closer to the hotel. But the way back is very steep. Overall out visit was very pleasant and we are satisfied.

At least a 2 stars hotel. Booked through an agency, which is even sad. We checked-in on our first day on the “last available” room they had, at the ground floor. Music is up until midnight, and at 7 in the morning the caretaker of the garden is in front of your window watering the plants. Luckily and with a lot of insistance, the manager changed the room, to a 2nd floor room. The air conditioning is leaking in the hallway through the ceilling :) The bathroom STINKSSSS and the window to the bathrooms, all the bathrooms in the building, are having the view on the main hallway where everybody passes, so when you take a shower, everybody sees you in the bathtub. The bathtub was literally yellow, they do not seem to clean with any products. The shower curtain was moldy. The drapes in the room were moldy, and with wholes :) The saddes part was about the food… toi have the breakfast and the dinner… and dinner is consisting in leftovers mixed up from the breakfast, and everything looks like pig food. After our 2nd dat at this hotel, me and my husband both got food poisoning. At a few hours distance, and we had to go to the hospital because of all the vomiting :) We only found out 2 days after the incident that another traveler that booked the hotel through the same agency like us, had to go to the hospital with the same food poisoning. They do not give you water at any of the meals, and you have to buy it. The tap water is not potable. And smells like fish a bit, and it is yellow-green. They count a lot on the fact that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and, if you do not have a rented car, you will have to buy food or anything from them. Please take into account that the food they serve in the morning and in the evening is prepared and cooked by the same chef, with the same cheap ingredients, cooked in the same conditions :) but you will have to buy them :) Overall, it was a sad experience. And the manager only makes it worst. Every morning at 7 or earlier, the maids start with the noise, banging doors and making noise. Oh, and if you are in luck, the maids might smoke in your room, while they clean it :)

Kalimera. The hotel is about 2-3 stars at best. The food is ok-ish Breakfast consists on the exact same thing every morning. If you like every day scrambled eggs, bacon, mini brusketti...you might be ok. Dinner is a little bit better, but it really could be very good and the variety could be there...or not, and you might end up eating salad with feta. It really depends on the day/your luck/how picky you are. The rooms I did not like One had a small wierd tub that you could not even stand in because you could slip any second and break something The staff was ok. Overworked if you ask me, the cleaning ladies during the day were serving meals during dinner. The woman in reception is a typical sales person trying to talk you out of things or into things as it suits her. The beach It does not have a beach, "their beach" is filled with rocks and you can not go swimming barefoot. You might also see some garbage here and there that the water might bring. So its a very "wild and virgin" beach, it might be good for you if you want peace and quiet and an entire "beach" all to yourself. The closest beaches are the Porto Zorro and Porto Azzurro which are like 1 beach actually, but divided into 2 separate areas. (I recommend the last one for its cleanliness, better bathrooms and overall feel). The food is pretty great at both, no complaint here. It's @15 minutes walk to these but you will have to be careful, there are no sidewalks, no pedestrian care at all, you have to walk on the road so be careful of cars, busses etc. General location There are no stores, no markets, no nothing in the area. You have to walk @1.5-2km for the closest village (Vasilikos) where you find stores, pharmacy, atm etc. Or call a taxi which will cost you @10 euros for trip from the hotel to the supermarket. If you have a car, rented or personal, you are all set. Overall impression If you are like me, pretty active, and only really spend the night there, to sleep, and most of the day you are out visiting or on the beach, it might be a good bargain if you get a decent room. It has a decent pool which is really the only point that i can consider in the pros category. If given the chance i would definitely not go there again.
