La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Yuma

The La Quinta by Wyndham is the latest hotel to open in Yuma, Arizona. The hotel is located just east of the city's historic downtown district and was built adjacent to the sports complex. The La Quinta is everything you'd expect from a modern hotel, well at least from the outside. Once you step into the lobby the energy is pretty uplifting, the staff is friendly, attentive, and respectful. The lobby has a 70s flair to it, and the vintage-inspired furniture is not only shiek but it's also comfortable. I have to say one of my favorite things about their lobby has to be the tile image of the area's historic Ocean to Ocean Bridge which links both Southern California and Arizona. The La Quinta's fitness center looks like any other until you look closely and notice that they offer peloton cycles for those with peloton accounts. The breakfast area has waffles and if that wasn't enough they offer hot foods like biscuits and gravy and eggs and sausage. Having recently stayed at another hotel and realizing that they no longer offered microwaves, I ate my leftovers cold. Luckily, the La Quinta not only offers you a microwave in every room but it's paired with a coffee maker and a fridge. The La Quinta is perfectly located within walking distance of Yuma's Historic Downtown which is home to a children's museum, a historic prison, the visitor information center and more. It also neighbors a mall and several restaurants.

This hotel is a little way out of town but in my opinion, yea! The evening staff, Tricia and another young man (no name tag but key fob had LB), were really nice and got us checked quickly. We had a king room. It was large, very quiet and comfortable. It seems to be a newer hotel. We had an awesome stay.
