Excellent trip to Longitude. We would highly recommend staying here for 2 nights. We have stayed at 3 boutique hotels during our 4 week Australia trip and Longitude was the second in the rating. The tents are beautifully decorated, dinner under the stars was the highlight for me and of course seeing Uluru was a highlight. It is very well organised but as mentioned in previous reviews it is a place where your trips are with fellow travellers. It’s very “scripted” but we still enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and full of enthusiasm for what they do. We were very unlucky with the weather and had rain so on our “activity free”afternoon we found we were bored. Had it been sunny the pool would have been great but we were just unlucky. The Cultural Centre was the only extremely disappointing part as it’s not finished and it is so expensive. Be prepared to pay £1000’s for a small aboriginal canvas. We would have missed this if we had known as it was a tourist trap.

Longitude is a very nice facility. Public space is inviting and "tent" rooms are exactly what they should be for an upscale "camp". The hotel is designed for its guests always being on the go on tours to Ayers Rock and is prepared for guests to come back happy, but exhausted from summer heat( 100 degrees Fahrenheit ) with cold wash clothes and cold drinks. Facility is all inclusive. Overpriced - but there really is no competition!

The very remote Ayer’s Rock Lodge offered luxury living within sighting distance from the sacred Uluru rock formation. Private accommodations designed as tent cottages were luxuriously appointed with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with a varied menu, served by courteous and friendly staff. Daily hiking excursions to the Uluru rock and the lesser known Kata Tjuṯa formation started early morning while the temperature was still around 25 C. Evening activities included dining under a starry sky, completely devoid of light pollution.

When somebody mentions glamping , this does not begin to describe it. The "tents" are constructed about 10 feet above ground and although they look like tents they are really pernmanent structures. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a deck that in most cases looks towards Uluru. the food was excellent and the staff tremendous both for their friendliness and efficiency. In the middle of January the A/C struggled a bit during the day but it was very comfortable at night. Dining under the stars was a highlight of our last evening.

This was a disappointment. We stayed here for 2 nights and at southern ocean lodge (much better) for 2 nights. The location is amazing and very pretty, the red sand is like another world. The rooms are also pretty nice, not amazing but nice. The activities are terribly run. You get on a bus with many other tourists and do pre-programmed activities throughout the 2 days there. No choice (we tried). Many are things we would have skipped. It feels like a field trip in elementary school. We asked ahead if there was bird watching, they said no. Once we got there we googled it ourselves and saw adds for bird watching guides in the area. Food was mediocre. I know its remote but its a trash excuse. We have been to far mor remote places with excellent food. Its the quality of a Hilton brunch. All this for 4k/night. We have stayed at places for 2-3k that were just as remote that were far better. I guess its the best place in the area, but otherwise no reason to go

This stay was the beginning of our 50th Wedding Anniversary central Australia experience. From our Qantas arrival at Ayer’s Rock airport meeting with our guest driver who was just the best, to our welcome and introduction to 131 from staff. Being taken to our room which was just🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 , on our 1st night evening meal that was just amazing quality fine dining with equal service. All and any style of liquor and soft drink was included with our cost from the bar to the mini fridge. For the next couple of days the staff were just amazing and all our excursions which again included were really informative and worth doing all up our stay here at 131 was exceptional. We also had a number of interactions with the manger and she was just so nice.

Met at airport by personable representative of Longitude 131 who helped with luggage and drove us to the hotel. Check In process was very casual and my wife mentioned just in passing that we didn’t get to eat lunch and shortly a fantastic charcuterie tray and drinks appeared while we were still “checking in”. After we ate and enjoyed our drinks, we were taken to our room/cabin/tent. Our room was awesome! Stylish, comfortable and had panoramic view of Uluru. There was a large lounge bed on the balcony where you could sleep outside. The “rooms” are spread out enough that you forget there are other rooms/cabins. Bathroom was perfectly sized; water pressure, temp was great. All meals , service , cocktails were excellent. Because it rained heavily all day and night the entire time were there, we didn’t get to really take advantage of any of the experiences and amenities which was disappointing. But the hotel team took us to the Rock to see the hundreds of waterfalls flowing off because of the heavy rain. The entire place is absolutely outstanding and the staff/team were stellar, food was excellent. Finally, I was surprised they knew it was my birthday but during my breakfast they brought a Happy Birthday plate. A great way to start the day! We highly recommend Longitude 131

We had high expectations of our stay & these were exceeded! as a group of 3 we stayed in the Dune Pavilion which was incredible. We stayed for 4 nights & were able to do everything we wanted, we even had a morning ‘at leisure’ & enjoyed massages in the spa which were great. if you can manage it i would suggest stay at least 3 nights, other guests staying 2 nights had a very packed agenda. From arrival at the airport through to our evening departure the staff were amazing ! everyone was friendly & helpful, we enjoyed getting to know them. The meals & wines were delicious, as a vegetarian i was very well catered for. The tours were well organised & the guides very informative. We had thunderstorms during our stay, but still managed to enjoy a slightly chilly dinner under the stars (sadly no star gazing as too cloudy but heaters & fleece ponchos were provided) & we also had a windy dinner on the dune top! We all wonder how we can ever top this experience! thank you all

We stayed for 2 night 1 week ago and were met with a timetable that was given to us, and we were told that it was no problem yo change the agenda. At that time we told them that on the top of our list was to walk around Uluru, and we knew that it was around 10km. It was some discussion around that, but we were told that no decision needed to be taken there and then. We mentioned this again the next day, and the answer was that according to the agenda it started to get more and more difficult, and our suggestion was that we could bike around. That was also very difficult, and it ended up not being possible from the hotels side. This was very disappointing, and it should be possible to arrange for the price people need to pay for the stay. The place was missing the final touches, also when it comes to the staff. The guiding on their own agenda was very good.
