The Tamara Coorg

When we travelled from congested and polluted cities of Pune and Bengaluru, on entering Tamara Coorg itself we felt that we have entered paradise. Lush green surroundings, warm welcome, prompt service to take us to our rooms. We stayed in this paradise for three days. Good food, environment friendly buggy service on toes, informative coffee plantation tour and coffee making demonstration, unique Tratak Yoga session and relaxing spa session, all of this was enjoyed by all the family members. After a long time we had family meals together with nature’s bounty in company. We received prompt and smiling service at restaurant. Food menu had lot of local variety, and we ended up in adding to our weight in the end. All in all it was a wonderful experience and hence, we plan to visit Tamara Coorg again. Before putting end to this note, we must make a mention of Mr. Manoj Mathew and Ms. Preethy for ensuring that we were looked after very well.

I had only heard about the property and seen pictures of it..... But I must say I way completely blown over by this property and move so over by the Amazing warmth shown by the staff(which is rare to see in hospitality industry nowadays).Each and every staff I met had warmth and smile on their face.The place is indeed worth a visit for once in your lifetime.The calmness the place provides is our of this world!.. I am definitely coming back again and would recommend my friends and family. Special mention to staff at the property. Nestled in the Western Ghats, Tamara Coorg is a serene retreat. Easy to spot road signs lead to this hidden gem, where warm welcomes and rooms set among trees offer a luxurious, treehouse-like feel. The restaurant, overlooking a peaceful waterfall, adds to the charm. Perfect for nature lovers!!!

I laid my eyes on this gem during covid lockdown. and kept dreaming about it ever since. Back then it felt it was too expensive. Never thought 4 years later, we would be staying here . It turned out to be just like the dreamy place i had imagined it to be. Perhaps it would have been more dreamier had we visited in the monsoon. Everything from the drive to this place, to the warm welcome with amazing jaggery coffee, the check in process, etc was amazing. We had requested for a room with a valley view and they were kind enough to give us a room with one gorgeous view. Both days when we woke up, the valley was covered in clouds , it was just breathtaking to sit in the balcony with a coffee mug and look at the dream outside. The room itself was amazing, huge wooden rustic cottages , just the kind we LOVE ! The food was mind blowing and so were the drinks. The restaurant setting was out of this world. We loved watching beautiful birds in the daytime and hearing the sound of critters and some monkeys at night. there was a view of the stream right from our room - dreamy ! A special mention to the game room. we generally tend to stay away from the game rooms at resorts because it just looks and feels boring with their typical games. but here, the board games were at a whole different level, took me back to my childhood. that ***** with the setting of the game room itself (we could hear the waterfall from its baclnoy) i never thought i would enjoy playing these games with my husband. i wanted to spend more time here but had to leave coz we wanted to walk around the property and explore all of its beautiful corners. ! now that's a first ! the countless number of HUGE monsteras had me drooling at every second . 2 days was just not enough. i really wish we could go back here someday !

The place is good. The rooms were very clean and the ambience was good! Ms. Rani was very helpful. Baggie drivers Ricky, Ashwath were also very friendly and kind. More baggies are needed as we have to wait for a long time to reach any destination. Restaurant, recreation area are not at walkable distances.

Lovely experience at Tamara . Beautiful property . Food was great. Activities were good . Courteous staff including the buggy drivers . One suggestion : Property needs more Buggies. As each place is at a distance of minimum 1.5 km and since buggies can take only 3 people at a time, we as a group of 10 had to wait a few times to get a buggy to dining, spa or any other place in the property. Otherwise everything was perfect . Thanks for the wonderful experience.
