Arora Hotel

We were reluctant on coming to Arora after reading so many negative reviews and initially tried to change hotel, but all in all we’re glad we didn’t! Hotel is situated about 10 minutes outside kusadasi 8€ in a taxi into centrum of the Dolmus bus is 1€ The hotel itself was spotless rooms cleaned daily by very hard working ladies and very pleasant. Pool area continuously cleaned also. The pool is large but freezing! Small baby pool beside it and slide area with a pool. There is also a pool on the beach club however we didn’t use it. There was plenty of sun loungers every day at anytime so no rushing to get them. The rooms was small but we didn’t spend a lot of time in it, there was a bath and shower also in the room which was great with kids. The bar at the pool area was clean staff were friendly with minimal English, cocktail menus were great and we found the drink was nice. Food was your typical all inclusive but even for fussy eaters there was something for everyone kids never went hungry there was eggs for breakfast there was always chips chicken nuggets etc and a fabulous salad spread. Indoor pool was gorgeous and opened until 17.30 daily. I got a Turkish bath package for myself and my daughter when here and was really good value we also got blowdry treatments. Entertainment staff is the only thing that let the hotel down. There is a kids club in the corner of the pool it wasn’t opened at all there was no games or anything interactive for the kids at all no ice creams on all inclusive music been played around the pool was on/off and was local dance music.

I arrived around 23.30 at the hotel. They made me a sandwich, which was a nice gesture. Couldn't get any drinks though as the AI bar closes at 23.00 (or I had to pay). There was soup though. Bottled drinking water is not included! You get 1 bottle of 0,5L to get you started. You'll find big bottles in a shop ca 100m from hotel. You van fill up your bottle at the bar, but chances are you get the viruses from the previous user...not worth it. A lot of posters with the hotel rules; would be nicer if they would tell what you CAN do. You can get a beach towel from the spa (or bring your own to avoid the sales pitch). Safe in room very small and 5€ a night (usually 2€ in Turkey or even free). The guy at the reception first tried to charge me 7€ a night! It looks digital but works with a key. WIFI only in the lobby (if you're lucky). Food is OK for a 4* hotel in Turkey. You'll find something new every day, but in the end it all tastes the same. Nice variety of Turkish cheeses at breakfast though (not just the cheap melted cheeses as usual). Basic drinks at the bar. Wine tastes like homemade; fine for 2 days and then it starts to disagree with you. People at the bar and restaurant are friendly. A lot of cleaning and maintenance needed around the pool and the beach area. All days the same repetitive music around the pool. The beach is very small and is like a dirt corner. The beach bar area is very pleasant and offers a nice view. Afternoon snack area not really promoting your appetite. The mattresses of the sunbeds are cracked, so water gets in. You'll notice when your towel gets wet after a while... I had a room facing the new hotel they are building next door. Probably best to put a single person in such a room, otherwise you get two unhappy people... We had a school visiting the hotel which brought some animation to the hotel but also challenged the dinner service... (they DID get a room with a (sea)view).

Friendly staff food was good clean rooms pools good amazing view the beach could do with a little tlc dj Tarkan was funny and entertaining overall good for the money very cat friendly I was in my element slide is fun water sports on the beach would recommend

Visited in late May 24 in the off season (kids all still at school) and was a little alarmed by some of the reviews but I needn’t have worried. The hotel is a little dated but considering what I paid, I was more than happy. Staff worked hard and were really friendly, drinks were AOK and there was plenty of food. Room was clean, plenty of hot water for the shower and clean towels nearly every day. I thought long and hard about what to write in this review as I did have a great time but here are some tips that others may find useful for this summer. There is a huge new hotel being built next door. It’s a little noisy but not too intrusive but best be aware. Take some mossie rep! Hotel located just off a large dual carriageway. Great for access to transport but there’s not a lot of entertainment around that area; if you want to go out for the evening it’s a few miles into Kusadasi which will involve a bus/taxi. My room overlooked the car park/building site/dual carriageway. Fine by me as I didn’t have the music and noise from the bar keeping me up late! Be sure to learn a few words of Turkish. Just the basics, please, hello and thank you helps enormously. If you are fussy with your food, this place is probably not for you . The food is Turkish on the whole and may not be to everyone’s taste. You’re not getting weetabix in the morning on this break! Like I said, considering what I paid, it met all my needs and I had a great time but if you go thinking ‘5 star’ you may be disappointed.

Honestly had such a great time here for my birthday in May! The bar staff and animation team were so friendly and went above and beyond! They made my birthday very special! The hotel itself needs a re-vamp as needs work but was still very clean and will look amazing once the re-furb is complete. Lovely sea view and nice small beach at the bottom. Only downside was the very rude reception staff! The spa staff were lovely as were the cleaners! I had a great massage and Hamam. The bath in spa wasn't working whilst I was there sadly but think it's back on now. Restaurant/Bar manager is such a lovely guy! Thanks to everyone who made it such a great trip! I'll be back! :)

Where do I start? Rude unhelpful staff, dirty room, terrible food etc. Anyone who used any of these adjectives in their review are just professional complainers or liars. OK, it wasn't the Ritz, but I knew that I wasn't paying for that sort of luxury. I'm just back from a solo week as my wife was unable to come with me. Here are the FACTS: Hotel is a little tired decor-wise. Food was varied and plentiful and on the whole very good. Room was serviced by a very cheerful young lady everyday. The staff and waiters that I met were extremely polite and helpful, all of them. Matt even loaned me 200 lira to get a bus into town for an ATM as I arrived early morning with no currency. To be honest I could have gone the entire week without money, but I wanted to spend a few hours in the market. The Dj was a really nice guy (Tarak I think was his name), who incidentally showed me some amazing magic tricks. I think he should encorporate them into his DJ'ing spot. In summary: GREAT!!. thanks to all involved. Colin from Scotland.

Firstly a family four we were put into room 413 which was double room they put q cMp beds in it making it impossible to manoeuvre around bearing in mind we were there for q4 days after 2 days we asked for bigger room , had to pay extra 415 pounds. The entertainment was for Turkish ppl when asked to play a uk song at night , the entertainer played YMCA once. I lost my ear bud and moved bed and was horrified it was filthy clearly hadn't seen a hoover or sweeping brush this season , defo not 4 star hotel , food is repetitive flies everywhere and no food description beside food tray to know what your eating ! Music by pool is tht loud you cannot hear what person next to you says . On the last night my partner had his watch stolen, while playing table tennis ,he called Police who came out but could not view cctv as manager was not there , she came in next day 10.30am and our taxi transfer airport arrived at 11am, partner asked for police to be called again she said if your staying I will need money for room ! Not interested in sorting issue , I have contacted hotel since being home and they have ignored and failed to respond, I then got a friend who lives there to go see them , absolutely no interest ... Defo worst hotel and management ever . One positive was most bar staff couldn't do more for you were good with kids , overworked and very underpaid . I'm always. Person tht don't really pay attention to reviews and think ppl.are being picky but most definitely not ... only AL holiday I went on and came home 3 kg lighter , my son is vegetarian the options were terrible and with no idea what was in food as no labels he ate chips and croquettes for 2 weeks. 2 days before we left 2 coaches of 18 yrs old arrived they ran a mock over hotel banging ur doors all hours of night wakening kids ... DONT DO IT WASTE OF MONEY 1600 GBP for 14 days AWFUL Picture below shows they read my mail but did not respond !

Was very disappointed by the whole experience of staying at the Arora hotel the room was OK the food was disgusting when asked for butter was told very rudely that there was none the alcohol was very limited to watered down vodka and gin no cocktails also no efes the turkish lager and staff constantly asking for tips the pool was in need of repair as the handrail was falling off very dangerous the private beach was an afterthought sun loungers broken put together like sardines and the beach very very dirty they offer free services but when you ask about them we were told very rudely that there was no service went to relax and enjoy ourselves but ended up having to eat out most days which took up most of our money having to get a taxi as it is a good bit away from the centre of town will never go back it was a horrible experience and couldn't wait to get back home....it says 4 stars but it shouldn't be even 1 star it caters mostly for the Turkish people
