Club Med Bodrum Palmiye

It was our 4th time at Bodrum and what a disappointment! We usually go in peak season (July) but this year we arrived on the 1st of October. Unlike previous times, nobody greeted us. We had no idea who the chef de village was- and we even invented a game to see how many days would pass before meeting him/her. We finally found out who he was (Boris) on day 5 of our stay there. Never actually met him personally. The few days of rain kept us indoors a lot and unfortunately this was an opportunity to see how run down the place has become. The wall paint is peeling, the grout in the tiling has been layered over and over and is clumping, the roof in the restaurant was shoddy and the one in the bar actually collapsed partially during the rain. The food choice, while varied, was substandard by CLUB MED standards, for most of the days we were there. The afternoon snacks were dry, tasteless and the choice was minimal (dry pastries and melon). At dinner, the desserts used to be the highlight of the meal - very very poor this year; the couple of times we tried them we had to leave them on the plate. What a shame.

We spent one week here, returning after 9 years absence. We always loved this Club Med but it has been much improved. The food is still exemplary but now the evening events are so much better than before. Live music every night at aperitif hour followed by some shows and late night dancing. The staff are to be commended and even though it was nearly the end of the season they maintained great customer service always with a smile. Special mentions to Baris at the pool bar, Etem at the beach bar, Serdar manager of restaurants, Fily (entertainment), Pierre (DJ extraordinaire)and Ramazan (maintenance) for always greeting us with warmth and a smile. As Brits we were the minority by a long way but we found it a wonderful atmosphere and we can not wait to return to Bodrum in 2026. Our room was very comfortable and the reception staff wee so accommodating. Congratulations to the Chief for making this Village my new favourite knocking Palmiye from the top spot !!!

Another amazing time at Bodrum. As usual everything was perfect. The location superb. The village is well kept, the grounds are such a pleasure to walk through especially early morning just as everyone is waking up there is the chance to walk along the beautiful beach before it gets too busy. The beach and especially the sunset bar and the Halikarnas restaurant are fantastic. In the main restaurant the food is delicious. Maybe a little more choice for vegetarians would be appreciated. Good to see Serdar back in control as restaurant manager. The bar staff always remember your favourite drinks! Laurene was my contact and kept in touch by WhatsApp if I didn't see her around, always busy but always there to help if needed. Boris was the perfect CDV and DJ often to be seen and very chatty. Even to the English speaking with makes a good change Gwendola - sorry about the spelling certainly seems to be on her way to be a great CDV. I didn't do any of the fitness classes this time just to lazy! The gym itself is well equipped and just enough to stop total laziness and too many kilos piling on. The spa was headed by a super manager and my massage was one of the best. Also the complimentary massages beside the pool were not to be missed. Will be back next year. I think for the 16th time

This was such an enjoyable couples holiday. The G.O. team were fantastic and contributed in spades to my overall enjoyment of the holiday. The resort is beautiful and I enjoyed exploring the local nature trails with G.O. Camille who leads the walks. The boat trips were excellent, a chill way to spend a couple of hours. Snorkeling is also possible and rewarding without needing to go anywhere. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the staff all seemed to care for the environment and the odd cat. There are squirrels and some tortoises who sometimes appeared from nowhere for a shower when the sprinklers came on! The food and drink was really good - plenty of choice and some really delicious and varied dishes at every meal. The only problem is trying not to overeat! We didn’t drink the table wine but the other inclusive drinks were all very good. Overall this was a great and memorable holiday; we may well return next year.
