loved the older-style hotel. friendly, helpful staff. location is medium,, but Xining is not a place for enjoying oneself.

This is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices.
First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town.
Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels.
Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing.
I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices.

Definitely the worst experience ever for a 4-star hotel.
The one and only good thing about this hotel is the nice and helpful room service lady. The rest are just really unpleasant:
- Unprofessional front desk, rather unfriendly
- Although the hotel claims to accept foreigners, you cannot pay with a normal credit card. Further, the front desk refused to help you with this issue
- Extremely smelly room ( strong smell of smoke and aged room)
- Mini fridge doesn’t work
- Everything’s just borderline moldy

設施老舊，大床房是由雙床房改的，充電器是紅牛的插線板定在床頭中間，睡覺的時候充電器的線會非常礙事。
電視是無線信號的，畫質很差…彷彿回到上個世紀。
浴缸非常大，但是水温和水流都跟不上，放水太慢了，衹能淋浴。要放很久的水温度才上來。
加濕器是超聲波霧化的，開久了不開空調，房間煙霧繚繞。不開加濕器，空調會讓房間變得超級乾燥。加濕器和空調噪音都偏大。
拋開旺旺這個ip，這個酒店並不推薦。樓下商場和小吃街很近，比較方便。
