Academus Pub & Guest House

If I could give 0 I would £11.70 for less than a pint of a half of beer is a rip of so tourists beware would not recommend and maybe explains why the bar was empty it’s a shame as the bar is nice and we would have stayed longer, however if charging over the odds people won’t stay hence the empty bar

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of the Old Town of Wrocław when we decided to drop into Academus Cafe Pub, been here before on previous holidays to Wrocław, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this pub, interior is superb, a narrow room,a cool looking serving bar, great decor and furnishings and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday night, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we had a study of their beer range which I must say I was impressed with and in the end my brother opted to have Lindemans Kriek cherry beer while I went for De Block Brewery " Satan " and both these great Belgium bottled beers were served in excellent condition, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our beers. My beer was really good ,a strong Belgium ale bursting with taste, at 8% ABV its certainly not a beer to rush but to savour but being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew why would you want to rush anything. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Academus Pub is easy to locate along Kielbasnicza. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, open from 3pm. Saturday & Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Room above a pub in Wroclaw. No breakfast available. Fortunately my room was high enough to avoid being disturbed by pub noise. Room OK and clean but there are a few problems. Wi-fi is rather hit-and-miss. Several of the fittings were loose. Worst of all the fire escape is kept locked. Surely this is illegal?

I love this pub! This is the third time I’ve visited Wrocław in the last 5 years. I’ve been to Academus each time. It is a charming pub with great service and is close to the main square. They sell quality beers at good prices and have nice bottled cider.

Dopo una gita sotto pioggia e vento, ci siamo rifugiati qui a fare aperitivo. Birra e sidro come se piovesse. Qualcosa da stuzzicare, ma senza grandi pretese. La miglior scelta lontano dal casino del centro centro. Se si cerca un po’ di privacy senza rotture di scatole e troppa gente è il posto ideale.
