I travel all over the UK staying in Hotels from 5 star to budget. This place is amazing. The check in was great, I was treated like a person. The room is so spacious and clean. It only has 5 rooms which is a bonus on some ways. The food...... WOW, this place is in the league of 5 star hotels. Its been along time since i had food this good in a hotel. I sat in the var so I could see the kitchen staff, they too so much care on the food they were preparing, this shows passion and dedication which was shown when the food was sent from the pass. If you are staying close by or even a few miles out this place is worth the visit.

The Hotel was ideally located to Rail Station, Shops & places of interest. Room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was brilliant. Plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Hotel had Gym facilities, although I did not use them they were there. And most important it had Car Parking which is quite rare. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to others.

Although it was a simple continental spread, the options were sufficient to start the day, and the quality of the food was decent. While the hotel doesn't offer extensive facilities like a gym or swimming pool, it serves its purpose as a convenient stopover for travelers looking for a comfortable night's rest without unnecessary frills. In terms of value for money, I found the pricing to be reasonable considering the convenience and comfort provided by the hotel. Great location for a hotel - closer to city centre with a nice walk across the river to get there. Convenient stop to visit family in my home-town. Over-all a good hotel, clean room and comfortable bed. We didn't come into contact with any staff or stay for breakfast as we were in late and out early, so we can't comment on those. We loved that the room had a bath - this was lovely! The only downside was the the taps seemed to have some mould inside the pipes... it didn't come out into the water but it did look pretty disgusting hanging there in the running water :/  Other than that, this hotel gave us everything we would expect from a quick stop over :)

Was a bit sceptical after reading the reviews but I found a lovely gem of a place. Stayed in Nightingale which was the top floor. Quirky, spacious and steeped in history. Wonderful renovation of what must be a 400 year old building. Comfortable beds and pillows, great shower and loved the Molton Brown condiments. For a 400 years old building and some creaky floorboards we slept really well. Parking was super convenient. I would highly encourage people to stay here and enjoy something different and lavish. Certainly for a special occassion like we did.
