Dunkery Beacon Country House

Well this accommodation did not disappoint. It was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the view was stunning. We were upgraded to one of the four poster rooms with a separate sitting room and it suited our needs well. The upgrade was volunteered by the proprietors and was not sought. What a delight it was though. The rooms were warm and there were spare blankets, bath robes and quality toiletries. I think whichever room we had would have been a very positive experience. Breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice, fresh fruit juices, delightful coffee. The full English was very nicely cooked, as was the scrambled egg muffin we also tried. The proprietors were charming, parking and situation was idyllic. One of my favourites, a small thing but so welcome, was the availability of fresh milk in a fridge in reception. The beverages in the room were first class all round. I can highly recommend this for a stay and we hope to revisit in the future.

A brilliant place and such kind and welcoming hosts. The perfect weekend break in a wonderful location. The room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Well positioned for visiting Dunster, Porlock, and walks from the doorstep onto Exmoor.

Superb in every way. Any breakfast wish catered for and everything of excellent quality. The greeting was warm and friendly and this continued throughout our stay. We were more than happy to be there enjoying the Hotel and all the area had to offer, We will definitely be returning. Thank you Andy and Tanya.
