Nick & Dotty were excellent hosts. They are very welcoming and very great about accommodating our needs with our 1.5 year old baby. They provided a highchair and a crib. The beds were comfortable, sheets nice and crisp and we loved having the fresh air from windows open. It was perfect for sleeping. They have such an eclectic home with so much character and charm. You’ll love walking around their gardens and relaxing on their patio. Just minutes from walking distance to town, where there is a market, grocery stores, shopping and more. We definitely recommend!

Staying at St John’s Croft in Winchester was the highlight of our UK adventure. Being greeted by Dotty from an upstairs window on our arrival set the stage for a truly hospitable, relaxed stay. Rooms were spacious, location great for exploring Winchester and breakfast was fabulous! Could have sat for hours in the upper garden viewing the Cathedral in the distance. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

Fascinating period house, tastefully furnished & decorated. Dotty is a very warm and engaging host who is excellent at making people feel welcome whist cooking a fine breakfast. So much more memorable than staying in a bland hotel chain. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed with two friends the night before we started our cycle ride on the King Alfred Way. Fabulous accommodation, most comfy bed away from home, marvellous breakfast, wonderful hosts nothing was too much trouble. Secure lock up for our bikes. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely stay here again when visiting Winchester.

We had 3 days staying with Dottie and Nick at St John's Croft. They were both very welcoming and our spacious room was extremely comfortable with everything we needed. The location was ideal for us as it was very quiet but with an easy walk into Winchester centre. We enjoyed the informal breakfast scenario chatting to Dottie and other guests while eating our excellent scrambled eggs. We would not hesitate to return and will certainly recommend to others if the option arises

Charming old building. Huge room with 2 armchairs, lots of windows, plenty of room to spread out and relax. Clean, quiet room with lots of windows. Large outdoor space with beautiful gardens and a view out to the city. Full breakfast at a community table. Nice, private bathroom, but not en-suite.

Stunning House with parking on site (win win for us). Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect, we were overlooking beautiful grounds with a view of a little Folly. Breakfast on both days was lovely, we enjoyed chatting to the other guests and our hosts. Easy walk for us to Winchester for shopping and some culture. If you like a laid back, welcoming vibe this place offers just that. Dotty, Nick, Zoe and Mike were perfect hosts and made us feel at home. Def returning and highly recommended.

I would have loved to stay longer in this wonderful B&B. We had a large, nicely furnished room overlooking the garden. The bathroom was not ensuite, but as it was private and right next to the room, there was no problem. The location of the B&B is just great, so peaceful and still very close to the city centre with the cathedral, restaurants and shops. Dotty was much fun to talk to in the morning and she gave us great tipps for restaurants - Don't miss The Old Vine for drinks and a nice view of the cathedral! Breakfast was served in the comfy kitchen - great salmon!

Beautiful accommodation above the lovely town of Winchester. Dotty was a friendly host who made a nice breakfast every morning with salmon, fresly brewed coffee / tea, berries and lots more. If you want to stay in a typical English country house this is the place to be. The only thing that did not work was the free WiFi connection.
