King's Head Hotel by Greene King Inns

A few other pub restaurants were closed so options were beginning to become a bit limited, so we walked into the King’s Head and was warmly greeted by the friendly staff. The food was very good, being a bit picky my wife’s Risotto rice was a little on the al dente side, but otherwise was excellent, I enjoyed my Katsu Chicken, both accompanied by a very pleasant Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Biggest bonus the bill was less than £50, which was a surprise as we have previously found eating out in Wimborne a tad on the expensive side.

We recently visited The King's Head for a meal with a group of five, and we had an absolutely superb time. The staff—Zoe, Jo, Sinead, and Tom—were incredibly understanding and accommodating, especially with our change of plans and special requirements. They took excellent care of us, making sure we were well looked after and ensuring we made it to our show on time. The food was served quickly, and every dish was cooked to perfection. It was absolutely delicious, and we were excited to try their new menu. Honestly, it was hard to choose because everything looked so good! The atmosphere was fantastic, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

A great location but tired and shabby. Single glazed windows so noisy. The staff certainly made up for this and the food was good. There was a lot of choice for breakfast. Parking was limited but this is understandable in a prime central area.

Visited this hotel/pub in Wimborne Had a very warm welcome from the bar staff, we were made welcome as we had our dog with us. Easy to read menu, simply order your food at the bar, couldn’t be any easier. Food was prompt and piping hot. Couldn’t fault anything about this establishment.. Highly recommend going for value for money.. You will be made welcome I’m sure.

Need to remember that this was a coaching inn so it is going to be quirky. We were here for three nights. We found the bed really comfortable although the room did get very hot even with the fan on. The staff were lovely. Laura gave us a great welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable, had good hanging space, iron and ironing board which was important as we were attending a wedding. Tea coffee and milk were plentiful and shortbread a nice touch. Breakfast was plentiful in that there was lots of choice of pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt as well as any cooked breakfast from a decent menu. The cooked breakfasts were well presented, well cooked and tasty. The staff were efficient, helpful and personable. Dinner was also very good value for money, my husband really enjoyed the pies which were huge, I went for the crispy Asian style pork belly with sticky rice which was absolutely divine. It was a total delight to eat and I did not want it to end. I did congratulate the chefs who on this occasion were Adam and Sunny. We were served by Zoe and Lauren, front of house who were excellent in anticipating our needs and made dinner a pleasurable experience. We would definitely stay there again.

We drove down from Norfolk and was greeted by such a lovely lady I shall call "Robyn" It was worth the 6hour drive, just to have met her. There was another gentleman we met in the reception (with the lush car) and he was just as lovely and helpful. We didn't have any interaction with the restaurant staff. The barman was very dismissive and openly hostile to me over 2 days. But I didn't let his poor attitude diminish the excellent feeling given by the two people I had met in the reception. The room was just fine for our needs, very comfortable and quiet. If I need to stay over in Wimbourne Minster again, I will certainly book here.

after my visit to the kings head i came away feeling extremely happy with my experience ,great food , excellent friendly staff great value for money i highly recommend it !! i will definitely be returning and booking a stay next time as it was immaculately clean and tidy :) keep it up guys !!! look forward to coming soon . x

This used to be a wonderful hotel/restaurant & pub, a lynchpin in Wimborne, we've just returned to the area, having been away from Wimborne for a decade. What a change, no welcome, surly indifferent staff, awful awful overpriced food, dirty sticky surfaces, overall a terrible experience. Needless to say we'll not be revisiting the "nightmare on the square".

I had booked a night at the kings head hotel and what can I say fabulous service room was spotless I also had dinner and breakfast which was amazing too would definitely stay here again highly recommend also great value for money as well will definitely be returning :) x
