Onera Wimberley

Our stay was nice. We stayed in a greenhouse. I was a little surprised by the proximity to other cabins. Just a smidge closer than the pics online would lead one to believe. Parking was a bit far away and the sidewalk was a bit steep at times for hauling luggage to your cabin—and with full online check in, there is no assistance with bags, but you might be able to ask for that. The room itself was very cute. There is a small kitchenette if you choose to do any light cooking. There is not a lot of storage space—small vanity area in the bathroom and no drawer space—not even a shelf in the closet. More hooks were definitely needed. Bed was comfy but our curtains were a little broken and off kilter. There was no housekeeping service during our stay of two nights. Our favorite part of our stay was watching a storm roll in on our porch one night. There are options you can choose to add to your stay such as the romance package, chef dinner, yoga, etc. We didn’t do that but I’d suggest adding on a breakfast kit—we’d have loved to not have to go to the store or go into town for breakfast. Overall, neat place, nice facilities and interesting vibe.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Onera in Wimberley on several occasions, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. The property is simply breathtaking, and the design of the rooms is truly exceptional. The views are spectacular, and the rooms feel like a luxurious 5-star hotel experience. However, what truly sets Onera apart is its exceptional manager, Brian Mueller. Brian goes above and beyond to ensure that our stay is truly memorable. He’s not only friendly and kind, but he also genuinely cares about our well-being. Brian is one of the reasons I keep returning to Onera. Thank you, Brian, for making our experiences so special. A true escape in the beautiful hill country of south Texas. We unplugged for a few days… pool time or winery adventures by day and hot tub sunsets by night. The accommodations are beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. You have anything you could need. This would be a great place for a small corporate gathering.

Our room was absolutely filthy! Long black hairs on our bath towels and bath mat. Hairs in the blanket on the bed and on top of and under the covers. Floor was also filthy, had not been mopped in a long time. WAY overpriced for what you get. The hot tub and view were nice, but was uncomfortable the entire time due to room’s condition.

Onera is out of this world! Pictures certainly do not do it justice! We had the best time, and the best view! I couldn't believe that it was just 45 min south of Austin. It is such a beautiful spot! Thank you so so much for the accommodations. Check-in was incredibly easy and was so nice to not have to talk to anyone and go straight to the room. I have always wondered why we need to talk to a front desk when checking into a hotel we already paid for. Our recent hotel experiences have consisted of at least 5 minutes at the front desk, and I don't think anything frustrates me more lol like what more do y'all need from me?! Our experience with Gabriel of Star Party America was the icing on the cake! That was probably one of the coolest experiences we have ever had, and my wife is a space nut, so it was the perfect way to ring in her birthday. Keep them around!! Thank you so much again! I cannot recommend this place enough. 1 million stars!!
