Baechtel Creek Inn

Really great place with super friendly staff, we were there with a large group and felt very comfortable and it was great for our family to be able to convene there and reunite after a long time of not seeing one another. I would highly recommend this place. The only complaint keeping it from getting 5 stars is that the shower head was really uncomfortable, it felt like tiny needles were poking you!

I went in off season, I think I was the only one there. But I was happy they were open because it's a nice little spot. Room is nice, clean, quiet which was great. Walked to a great Mexican spot across the street. Because it was off season the pool and hot tub were not available (no big deal). But they advertised a breakfast on site which I was sort of counting on. I confirmed this when I checked in at night. The next morning there was no breakfast but a voucher for nearby restaurant. Again, off season, should not have been a big deal. But I factored in eating quickly on site into my plans and not being given correct information the night before kind of screwed up my morning. Wish they had said something. I did end up going to nearby restaurant and it's also very good. Would stay here again.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! This was one of the most horrendous experiences in my travel history. I remain speechless and shocked with what we experienced and how poorly the hotel has chosen to handle the situation. It will be interesting to see how the establishment will try to rationalize all of this, in their response to my review. Please see the pictures at the end as proof of this experience, the detailed account follows.
 My significant other and I simply wanted a clean and safe space to lay our heads, to take a break from the long drive home. We found this hotel and booked through *******. On the outside the hotel seemed attractive and inviting. We arrived and proceeded to check in. To our disappointment and surprise, upon opening the door to the first room we were offered, we found that the room was unclean and had been recently used, as evidenced by the bed linens being in disarray. No big deal, we thought. Things happen, we'll just notify the hotel and swap rooms. The staff were kind and apologetic, they swapped us to a second room. Upon opening the door to the replacement room, we found it was also in disarray, but even worse, used diapers were on the bed (see picture), there was uneaten food on the desk, and trash was strewn about the room. At this point we were too exhausted to be upset, we humbly wanted a reasonably clean place to sleep so we could safely get back on the road and get home. We notified hotel staff and were swapped to a THIRD room. This time the staff accompanied us, he opened the door and his jaw dropped in horror as the third room had two unmade beds with linens splayed upon the desk (see pictures). This third room was also unclean. To our unpleasant surprise, we were given sheets to MAKE OUR OWN BEDS and advised to stay in this room. “It's fine, I'm exhausted, I just need to sleep,” was the only thought I could muster. The next morning we arrived to the front desk to check out. To the credit of the staff on hand at that moment, they were sweet, apologetic, and expressed utter embarrassment with our experience. They promised us a full refund, but that we would need to notify ******* to obtain it. After notifying *******, this was the response I received, verbatim (copied directly from the email),
 "Hello Robin, I am following up on your complain. We have contacted Baechtel Creek Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection and addressed your issue but they replied that nothing was brought to their attention from any guest during their stay and no record of any issues so there will be no refund. Should you have other queries, please out to us again. Regards, Chamroy S delcshimrah ******* Customer Support." I think it was reasonable to expect a safe and clean space to rest for the evening. I am so disappointed in how Baechtel Creek Inn handled this nightmare of a situation. Please save yourself the agony and stay away from here! We pulled off the road in Willits due to heavy rain storm in early March and were fortunate to find this charming hotel. We were attracted to the lights in the trees - they are the only hotel that isn’t right on the main road, just one turn off. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfy and staff was super friendly! Would definitely come and stay when weather is nicer and explore the beautiful area.

I work supplying hospitals in Northern Ca area. I have to travel quite extensively and have always appreciated this hotel. It is quiet, because it is off the main road just one turn in a court. It is always clean - I have stayed numerous times and never had any issues with cleanliness. The staff greets me warmly and always remembers my preferences of room location.

We stayed 5 nights at $155. per night. Room was ok. New carpet, updated shower. I would have given a higher rating if it was not for the cheapness of the owner and the way he treated his staff. There were 2 of us but we were only "allowed" one room coffee. Ice maker has been broken for several years (see prior reviews) you must go to the office for ice, one bag of ice that was put in a Dollar Tree sandwich baggie. Toilet paper, towels, Kleenex? Go to the office. 5 days & housekeeping came in only to replace towels. Not to clean the sink, toilet, replenish anything. Go to the office. However, the "older man" who is the owner popped in while you were gone. Never vacuumed our entire stay. Only the 3rd day did they empty the trash. Breakfast was cold oatmeal in a slow cooker. Hard boiled eggs, 4 each of white/brown bread, 6 pastries & 6 mini waffles that came also from Dollar Tree. I just expected more for a Choice hotel at $155. a night in small town USA. No one is friendly probably because of the sour owner's personality and totally inappropriate way he talked to the housekeeping staff. Would I recommend this hotel? No. Just to cheap. There's two people in the room, could I at least have two coffee packets? Also one sink soap was supplied for 5 day stay. No shampoo, conditioner in the shower. It did have a microwave and mini fridge. No ice.
