Our stay here was perfect: comfortable, beautiful location, lovely host, excellent breakfast, great experience all around. We rented a car so enjoyed touring nearby wicklow mountain park and glendalough woolen mills. Highly recommend.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Carriglen B&B. Aine was super kind and welcomed us on our arrival. The breakfast was excellent. The location of Carrriglen is convenient - we could walk to town where there were a few local pubs with food.

Wir haben eine Rundreise durch den Süden Irlands gemacht. Das Carriglen B&B war unsere allererste B&B-Erfahrung und einfach super. Wir wurden nach einer grauenvollen Anreise so herzlich empfangen, das Zimmer war gemütlich, sauber und warm. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war sehr lecker und liebevoll zubereitet. Das Besondere an diesem B&B ist für mich aber die herzliche Gastgeberin! Sie hat uns so sehr geholfen und unseren Urlaub gerettet, der wirklich schrecklich begann (Flüge umgebucht, Koffer verloren, falscher Mietwagen, die Liste lässt sich erweitern…) Wir haben uns bei Aine sehr wohlgefühlt und werden definitiv wiederkommen! Die Lage ist ideal für einen Stopp auf einer Rundreise, vom Flughafen Dublin haben wir etwa eine Dreiviertelstunde gebraucht, der nächste Stopp der Reise (Waterford) war etwa anderthalb Stunden entfernt.

Ankunft nach einer längeren Autofahrt im Carriglen: kaum fertig parkiert kommt die Dame des Hauses auf uns zugerannt und teilt uns ohne ein „guten Abend“ oder „Hallo und willkommen“ mit, dass sie ausgebucht sei und fragte, was wir hier wollen. Wir teilen ihr mit, dass wir bereits lange im Voraus via Reisebüro gebucht haben. Zwei weitere Personen sind ebenfalls angekommen; sie machte uns alle verrückt, da sie sagte ein Zimmer sei gecancelled und einer müsse gehen. Sie verschwand dreimal ohne ein Wort zu sagen & irgendwann meinte sie dann es sei doch ok, dass wir alle bleiben. Danach dreckiges Badezimmer (Haare überall, Lavabo verschmiert). Habe die Dame nett darauf hingewiesen, worauf sie aggressiv und hysterisch wurde und uns aus dem B&B geworfen hat. Also Gastfreundschaft ist was anderes. Absolut nicht stressfähig und masslos überfordert. Einzig positives ist die ruhige Lage. Aber machen Sie sich Ihr eigenes Bild; das ist lediglich unsere eigene Erfahrung.
