Barringtons Motor Lodge

It was such a pleasure to stay at Barringtons. Our host, Steve was so welcoming, friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The night we arrived we had travelled through a very bad storm and had to do a big detour due to the Kaimai Range getting blocked by a slip. It added hours to our journey and we had a harrowing trip to get to Whakatane but it was so nice to eventually arrive safely at the Motor Lodge and find it was spotlessly clean! I didn't feel like I had to clean anything, which is not normally the case in other places we have stayed in both NZ and Australia in recent years. It's the cleanest accommodation we have stayed at for a very long time, it was lovely! The living space, bedroom and bathroom are spacious and well appointed and had what we needed. I loved that the bathroom had a big vanity with lots of bench space and cupboard space to put my makeup case and our toilet bags, it was so nice not to have to leave them on the floor, which is often the case in many other hotels & motels. It was quiet as well, which I really appreciated as I'm a light sleeper. We will definitely be trying to get the opportunity to come back for a longer stay in the future . As a family we travel to Whakatane a lot. Barringtons has been our go to accomodation on 4 occasions. The rooms are always immaculate, beds are comfy and the hosts are so welcoming and awesome! And because of this we will definitely be coming back

This is one of the top motels we have stayed in. Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, excellent shower pressure. Lovely big rooms and Kaye and John are so friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommend this motel to anyone staying in the Whakatane area. Thanks again foe the incredible hospitality.
