Glendine Country House

Glendine Country House is located in Arthurstown Co Wexford. It is a beautiful country house overlooking Waterford estuary. If you are tired of commercial hotels then this is the place for you. From the moment you enter the driveway you really are arriving at somewhere special. All the bedrooms are unique and very tastefully decorated with furniture befitting the house. Breakfast was lovely and made to order with more options than normally found. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

My God everything about the place was class. The decor every detail picked out especially for the house was amazing to see . Will definitely be going back soon. The breakfast was individually made and the attention to detail was awesome.

Just home from a lovely few days at Glendine House with my husband and our dog. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and shown the facilities in this charming home. We had a beautiful big room with a fantastic view looking out over the estuary to Passage East. Our breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious along with a beautiful fruit salad, yogurts etc. We had absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend to family and friends.

Superb accommodation and very friendly hosts. We enjoyed 3 nights and loved every minute-even had river views from our room. An added bonus was the lounge where we played scrabble provided by hosts. Coffee, biscuits and cake freely available m. Breakfast was delicious. Loved seeing the Irish longhorn cattle in the field in the morning. Our hosts provided good guidance on sights and activities to see.

I liked the antiques spread throughout this lovely guesthouse and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts are cooked to order and delicious. It served well for visiting Wexford and Waterford, though it is remote with only the single bar a block away. If you’re looking for a place in the center of a bustling town this is not your place. We liked the downtime, though do know you will be driving to visit the neighboring sites.

We stayed in the Glendine Country House last night 25th Feb 2023 , it is a family run period house that dates back to 1830, set on its own grounds and overlooking the Barrow Estuary on the Hook Peninsula. Anne the owner welcomed us warmly on check-in , she gave us recommendations for food and activities in the area . We stayed in the Dunbrody room which was a large sea facing room with en-suite that has an amazing bath. Breakfast the next morning was a delightful,delicious and well presented and nothing was too much trouble (my husband is coeliac )Tosh was very friendly and gave us lots of information of amenities and activities in the locality. And we enjoyed hearing about his new lamb only days old . Home to the Crosbie family for over 70 years, Glendine retains many of its original 1830 features and is full of old world charm. The House is set high up over the village of Arthurstown and all of the rooms are stylishly beautiful and have magnificent sea views. Glendine Country House is also home to some Fallow Deer in nearby paddocks. The Glendine is pet friendly once you inform Anne & Tosh on making your booking. A beautiful Country home in a tranquil setting I would highly recommend a stay
