I stayed here a year ago and left what I thought was some valuable and honest feedback (granted I'm biased) and received a standard response from the manager stating "Thanks for the review. I have shared your comments with the hotel team." This manager fell far short from addressing any issues mentioned in the review, or requesting any clarification or more detail in the events, thus giving a sense that customer's opinions are not valued. Hopefully that viewpoint has changed, but does not appear to be following the hotel's similar responses to other reviews... Arriving Friday evening we were on the 8th floor and there is only one working elevator. The hotel was busy and took numerous attempts to get our luggage to out room. There were also elevator signs indicating an elevator around the corner, but were incorrect. Later in the evening, there was only one front-desk attendant and he was swamped, making it difficult to seek assistance. The ice machine on the 8th floor did not work and the phone in our room would not connect to the front-desk. In the morning, also only saw one front-desk staff member and she was occupied a majority of the time. Our room itself was clean and well maintained, along with the fitness center. One suggestion would be to have a nightstand on both sides of the beds, or at least outlets on both sides. The Wi-Fi was non-reliable and was unavailable countless times. Food trays from room service remained in the hallways for a majority or the day and night. The staff were friendly and helpful when they were available. Overall, this hotel needs their elevators working to accommodate busy nights. Also staffing for the front desk and housekeeping appear to be an issue. Wi-Fi and room phone issues also need to be addressed. Finally management needs to take guest reviews seriously, which has not been reflected in past responses. All of these issues I would of been bothered if staying in a budget motel, yet alone would not expect them in a Marriott hotel.
