Grand Hotel Belvedere

My husband and I stayed at this property for one night and loved every minute of our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The views were incredible! Our room overlooked the mountains and the Lauterbrunnen Valley so it was a wonderful view. I wish I had more time to stay longer.

This place is an overpriced rip off. The rooms are tiny. At night can’t turn the light on in the bathroom without light coming into bedroom because of the window between the two. The website shows pictures of a grand hotel and a pool and a spa but none of that is there. I will never go to a Beaumier hotel again.

This is a beautiful property with sweeping, gorgeous views of the valley and mountains, great service, and a delicious breakfast. The location is a good base to explore the Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen area. Ideal for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Would absolutely stay here again.

Rooms without a view; there are some rooms with a limited view and then only of trees at the back of the hotel whilst there are 4 rooms with views of the fire escape!! Difficult to understand how any hotel can sell these rooms to any guest; they should be free. Rooms are comfortable and the buffet breakfasts and dinners are good with plenty of choice and plenty of food. Gluten free guest catered for. Staff are helpful.

We had a wonderful week in Wengen. We arrived late on the Saturday evening to be greeted by the small truck to take our luggage to the hotel whilst we wandered through the streets. We had a very friendly welcome and, as we had notified the hotel about our late arrival, a welcome meal waiting for us in our room. Our room was very comfortable in a way which complemented the period nature of the hotel but with a newly refurbished bathroom. The meals are all self-service and of a very good quality with plenty of choice. The breakfasts are varied and provide enough energy for the day’s activities, supported by the simple packed lunches offered as part of our package. There was a four-course dinner, again of very good quality with a wide range of options. We had a table by the window and could enjoy the views of the grounds and mountains. As well as the quality of the food, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff contributed so much to the enjoyment of our stay. The hotel is situated about ten minutes’ walk from the railway station. A gentle stroll the other way offers lovely views of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It was our third visit to the Jungfrau area, but the first to Wengen and, of course, this hotel. We can thoroughly recommend Wengen as a holiday destination and look forward to returning to the Belvedere before too long.

We’ve had the best time at the Belvedere again. I did wonder if things may have changed since Covid but I needn’t have worried as this hotel still offers the best experience in Wengen. It’s in a very quiet part of the village, not far from the Main Street, but with outstanding views. It has such a warm feeling about it & Salvo & Vincenza are always on hand to make sure everything is taken care of. They all work tirelessly to give their guests the best possible holiday. We stayed in three different hotels during our holiday in Switzerland & this one by far exceeded the other two. Thank you all for our fabulous holiday xx
