The Yellow House on Plott Creek

This is the best vacation place we have been to. I always look forward to going and hate to leave. Chad, Dena and other staff make it so welcoming. All of the little touches to the room, living areas of home and breakfast couldn't be any better! Can't wait to go back!

The Yellow House is a family tradition. My parents got married in 1998 and we returned for their 25th wedding anniversary. My sister stayed at the Yellow House the morning of her wedding last year to celebrate with her bridal party and the first night of her honeymoon. My husband and I have stayed twice in the last 5 months to celebrate our birthdays. The Yellow House is a hidden treasure in the mountains for all celebrations. We have always had a wonderful experience and will be back again soon. Chad and his team are AMAZING The rooms, food, services, grounds, snacks, and little details are what make every experience unique and memorable.

When I first saw the beautiful yellow house on top of the hill with its long front porch and rocking chairs, I felt excited. Was it as pretty on the inside as it was on the outside? Yes! When I eagerly opened the side door, I was immediately greeted by the delicious aroma of baking sweets and a charming man named Chad who greeted us as though we were already his favorite guests. I wandered around trying to take everything in - the colorful and tasteful fall décor, the gorgeous and cozy library, the huge bedroom with a wide bank of windows and a fireplace and – the mountain views! This place had everything we could ever want. Chad explained how everything worked and he showed us where the snacks were. There was so much attention to detail. So many added touches. Such personal service. (Chad was always available on the property.) We came in search of a quiet, peaceful retreat and we got it. This is what a traditional bed and breakfast should look like and be like. It was superb in every way.

This is our favorite B&B. Chad and Josh are excellent. All rooms are lovely with wonderful bedding and pillows. The grounds are so beautiful and enjoyable (14 Gnomes are hidden around for you to find). The breakfasts are exceptional. Chad met us at the front, helped with luggage and then brought a delicious glass of wine. Every day you are surprised with a sweet treat that is homemade.

Stayed in the Carriage House - wonderful acccomodations, excellent breakfast and Chad is an amazing host. We were even surprised by a Satruday afternoon wine and snack social with the other guests. Overall amazing stay. Highly recommended!!! - The Carpenters

What an absolutely beautiful home in a great location! Chad was so helpful with recommendations, reservations and just a terrific person. We loved the breakfast each morning and really enjoyed the wine and treats in our room at night. Can’t wait to come back!
