Yalis Hotel

A lovely, small boutique hotel with rooms and suites. Our suite had a gorgeous view of Votsi harbour from the balcony. It also had a comfortable seating area, kitchen with bar fridge and two hotplates and basic cutlery, crockery and pans. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a bath with shower attachment, and all the furnishings had a welcoming and elegant aspect. The hotel sits quite high above the sea, about 5-10 minutes drive from the main town and port of Partitiri. The pool area has a bar and lots of seating and sunbeds. There are quite a few steps to the various levels. The breakfast area is great, with wonderful sea views, and the buffet is also exceptional. The staff go out of their way to help and are very friendly. We loved our stay in this establishment and would happily go again. Alonnisos is a beautiful, small island. It helps to hire a car for a day or two, especially to visit the Old Village, and a day cruise - either self-captained or commercial - is also recommended.

Stunning views and very comfortable accommodation. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious. The hotel is well placed for walks to a beach and nearby little harbour. We would definitely like to return.

Stunning views from the terrace and pool and breakfast area. I did not like our room (with partial sea view). I mostly really didnt like the hotel management - they felt pretty unwelcoming, and recommended a bicycle/quad rental company which was terrible (asking us to pay for a flat tire repair then leaving us with an e-bike with no lights and also very condescending) and they stood by this rental service rather than support the hotel customers. this is a problem overall in Alonissos - slightly rough and condescending to tourists.

What a fabulous hotel this is. Everything about it was perfect- the room, the view, the staff, the pool, the sun loungers, the swinging chair, the poolside bar, the breakfast! We o lot booked it last minute without really looking at it in much detail so what a delight it was to discover it as we walked along the road with our rucksacks. It was only about a 20 min walk from the port. Definitely want to go back!

This was our first visit to Alonnissos, but we will definitely be back and we would not hesitate to rebook this bespoke little hotel as it is quite simply fabulous! From the warm welcome on arrival, to the extended free of charge check out time on the day of departure, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent and the view from the breakfast terrace each morning was wonderful. We booked a Junior Suite with a sea view and the room exceeded our expectations at every level, with a fabulous vaulted internal ceiling, breath taking sea views and spotlessly clean! We walked from the port with a suitcase on arrival and although the initial hill out of town was a bit of a challenge, there is a great bakery with outdoor seating at the top of the hill and so we recharged our batteries here, before completing our journey. Within 24 hours of arrival though, we discovered a short cut from the hotel, which took us to the port in half the time and past two great beach side tavernas and to a further taverna which was situated in an elevated spot above the port. The hotel is also only a few hundred yards from the quaint harbour village of Votsi in the opposite direction and there is a great coastal path on the opposite side of the bay. There was one person at the Yalis who needs a special mention though, as she made our stay exceptional and that was MARY. This young lady is a fabulous asset to this hotel, she has great people skills and she could not do enough for us from the moment we arrived, even insisting on personally delivering a carafe of wine to our room, with a plate of fresh fruit and some nibbles, when we simply wanted to order a drink from the bar one evening to drink on our balcony!
