"The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, right by Lake Voss. It's quiet and incredibly pleasant. If you're looking for a late-night snack, the Kiwi supermarket is about a 3-minute walk away (closes at 11 PM) where you can grab some Arctic sweet shrimp. The breakfast was good, and the sauna room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the snowy mountains and lake, is highly recommended for a relaxing session – it's so romantic! There's a shuffleboard in the lobby, which we also saw at our hotel in Geiranger later on, so it seems to be a popular indoor game in Scandinavia! 😄"

"We had a great time staying at Voss Moutain Lodge specifically due to the hospitality of the staff and the owner. Gabriela, the manager, was knowledgeable and always enthusiastic to provide necessary information to all the guests. She was all the time running around with lots of smiles. Thomas, the owner, is a super cool guy who looks like he came out of an adventure/wild magazine. He is a genuinely experienced hiker so do ask him if you have any questions at all. You would see him blend in with all his staff working hand in hand around the hotel. We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights and we found both breakfast and dinner way much better than we'd expected. The quality and the attention given to the meal preparation are overwhelmingly satisfied. We highly recommend this place to all nature explorers. One last important note, it is highly recommended that you do backpacking if you're arriving by train. The path from the Ørneberget train stasjon (resembling an abandoned bus stop ^ ^!) down to the lodge is steep and challenging for anyone."

La ubicación del hotel es excelente, justo enfrente de la cadena Voss. El restaurante del desayuno tiene una vista preciosa y una gran variedad de platos. El personal del hotel fue muy amable y atento. Dispone de aparcamiento propio, gratuito para los huéspedes. (Olvidé accidentalmente una chaqueta de plumas en el armario y me di cuenta dos días después. Contacté con el hotel por teléfono online, la encontraron y me dijeron que la recogiera en un par de días. Por suerte, estaba en mi ruta habitual, así que pude recogerla sin problemas. Mi impresión del hotel mejoró muchísimo)."

"Store Ringheim, in the town of Voss, was a delightful place to stay. The rooms are bright, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hotel is nestled in the hills with lovely views of the nearby valleys. The folk museum is just a few minutes walk away and is wonderfully done. The restaurant provided our favorite meals, both for breakfast and dinner, during our extended trip through Scandinavia. The staff are exceptionally personable and informative in this owner-staffed hotel. Artwork throughout the facility is exceptional due to the artistic ability of the owners. We have stayed in dozens of bed and breakfasts and this was one of our best experiences ever."

"It was by chance, due to a miscalculation of the mileage, that we ended up in this hotel… lost and far from everything. When we realized this, we wanted to cancel, but the establishment refused. So we went anyway. An hour and a half of driving on back roads to find a “hotel” at the end of the world where there was hardly anyone. I imagine it's more popular in the winter for ski touring trips. We did, however, find a woman who ran both the hotel and the small supermarket. That's also why I'm giving it two stars and not one. She was absolutely charming. But I absolutely do not recommend the hotel. Very expensive for what you get."

"Quiet, cozy, simple lodging off the beaten path. The lodge is old but obviously loved, next to a small but roaring river. Staff were very accommodating about our accidental late arrival, had excellent recommendations for the nearby hiking opportunities, and served great food. Patrons are welcome to take extra bread and sandwich material for lunches at a small cost. Rooms were small and utilitarian but comfortable; guests are asked to make their own beds upon arrival and to strip the beds down upon departure. Wish we stayed more than two nights here- this was definitely a highlight of our trip."

"We came 7 persons for work and meetings. The farm house hotel is very well restored and styled, making it something special with a mixture of traditional and modern, rural handcraft and modern art. The food was amazing and the service very friendly. The guest rooms are nice with a modern bathroom and a comfortable bed. The Internet and meeting facilities were excellent as well. This is a place I would love to return to. It is a bit of a walk from the train station, perhaps 30 min. but only 10 min by taxi. It is walking distance from Mølstertunet- the Voss open air museum."

"C es por casualidad y como resultado de un cálculo de kilómetros incorrecto que nos encontramos en este hotel... perdido de todo. Cuando nos dimos cuenta que queríamos cancelar pero el establecimiento se negó. De repente, fuimos ahí. 1h30 de pequeñas carreteras para encontrar un "hotel" al final del mundo donde no había casi nadie. Imagino que es más famoso durante el invierno para las salidas de esquí de rando. No obstante, encontramos una dama que tenía y el hotel y la superestreta . C es también por qué coloco 2 estrellas y no una sola. Está absolutamente encantadora. Pero no recomiendo absolutamente el hotel. Muy caro en relación con la calidad"
