Hotel Thermen Bussloo - Apeldoorn

We have been here in the past and it has been amazing. The hotel, sauna,restaurant, Everything was amazing. We live in the UK. Do not get any time together as a couple and I am a full-time carer looking after our nine-year-old who is neuro divergent. For many months I had waited for the Christmas holiday package to come after a member of staff at thermen bussloo had told me on the phone that the Christmas package deal would come out at the end of September or the beginning of October. I have now just found out over the phone that they will not do a Christmas package at all and that we will have to pay more than €100 per person extra to get the same items that we would have gotten in a package deal. We are rarely in the Netherlands and this was such a special and important thing for us to do and they will not even honour the price. A member of staff has told us months ago that a Christmas package was coming up at the end of this year, I guess making money is much more important than anything else, but we will not be able to go here now , because it will cost us approximately €564 instead of €300. We feel so disappointed we do not get a break in the UK and part of the excitement of coming to Holland for us was the opportunity to go to the sauna for two days whilst my friends look after our daughters so we waited for this Christmas package deal for many months, but they will not honour the price of the ‘herfst arrangement’. we still would’ve spend enough money here anyway, but I guess they want more money and we will not be able to come because of this greed. We are very disappointed with Thermen Bussloo.

A full spa day was simply perfect! Our second visit here about 10 years after the first, we came back this time from UK. LOVED IT! The spa outshines any spa we have visited in the UK. After a relaxing day we had fantastic food for an amazing price added to our hotel stay. Hotel rooms are great with modern bathrooms, great shower gel and cozy beds. Will be back again!

Lovely clean hotel rooms , coffee machine available, the restaurant was nice and I loved the food but one of our party was celiac and her choices were limited . It would have been useful if they were not so secretive about their secret menu. The waiters was lovely. Loved the spa. But if a spa Disneyland but it was really perfect had a fun weekend away with health benefits.

I booked a reservation through their website for a Deluxe Room with Spa Access. This was an expensive room, considering it did not include breakfast, a robe, a towel, etc. I booked the reservation directly through the hotel's website, with an understanding that it can be canceled up to 48 hours prior to arrival. I tried to cancel over a month in advance, and the hotel refused. The hotel falsely claimed that I booked through *********** and they did not have the authority to cancel this reservation. I knew this was false, but to entertain this idea, I contacted *********** and they claimed that they did not have a reservation under my name for Thermen Bussloo. When I explained this to Thermen Bussloo's management, they did not believe me and told me that they could not cancel my reservation. I retraced my booking steps, and noticed that a company called Hoteliers handles the hotel's reservations. Hoteliers confirmed that I booked directly through Thermen Bussloo's website. Still, Thermen Bussloo claimed that that they did not have the authority to cancel my reservation. After dozens of emails, Hoteliers contacted Thermen Bussloo and explained that it was their prerogative to cancel the reservation. Only after this was done, the hotel agreed to cancel. I expect much better service from a four star hotel and do not recommend anyone stay at this hotel (too expensive, not a good bang for your euro, and rude management).

Unser Aufenthalt war durchwachsen und immer wieder durch Unannehmlichkeiten unterbrochen. Entweder wir hatten Pech, oder es ist doch mehr Schein als Sein. 2 Personen, 2 Nächte, ca. € 640,- Hotel: Check in: wir kamen um 14:00 an und angeblich war unser Zimmer noch nicht fertig. Die Dame an der Rezeption war eher frech als freundlich und ließ uns eine Stunde in der Lobby sitzen und aufs Zimmer warten. Kein Welcome Drink oder ähnliches wird geboten. Da erwartet man sich mehr was anderes... Ein Punkt Abzug hierfür. Genervt hat uns auch, dass wir die Zeiten für Frühstück und Abendessen bereits beim Check in angeben mussten. Bei so einem Aufenthalt will man sich eigentlich treiben lassen und die Uhr zu Hause lassen... Zimmer: das Standard Zimmer ist ausreichend groß, WC und das geräumige Bad sind getrennt. Temperatur im Zimmer kalt.  Bei uns funktionierte die Heizung nicht, selbst Bus nach dem Abendessen hat sich das Zimmer nicht aufgewärmt, die Heizung haben wir schon beim Bezug auf die höchste Stufe gestellt.  Abends haben wir uns an die Rezeption gewendet, der Herr hatte allerdings wenig Ahnung, war aber freundlich, sein Kollege den er zu Rate zog, versuchte uns anstandslos einzureden, dass die Heizung funktioniert und wir nur eine Stunde warten müssten. Wir haben uns gewehrt, denn bei ca. 19° Zimmertemperatur wollten wir morgens nicht aufwachen.  Erst hieß es es gäbe kein freies Zimmer mehr, nach etwas Zeit bekamen wir eine Suite als Ersatz. Diese war sehr schön, geräumig und hell. Aber auch dort war das Badezimmer und Toilette sehr sehr kalt und es wirkt als gäbe es keine Wärme oder Heizquelle im Bad. Sehr enttäuschend, will man sich in einem Wellness Hotel doch kuschelig wohl fühlen. Ein Punkt Abzug hierfür.  Abendessen: wir hatten das 3 Gänge Menü reserviert. An Tag 1 bekamen wir das Standard Menü das es immer gibt (das Menü wird ca. 4 mal im Jahr gewechselt). Amuse-Gueule, Brot, Vorspeise und vor allem Dessert waren sehr gut und gehoben, die Hauptspeise war sehr enttäuschend. Roast Beef, zäh wie Schuhsohle und Gulasch als Beilage. Keine Sättigungsbeilage. Wir mussten es zurück schicken, bekamen eine neue Portion die etwas besser war aber immernoch zäh. Schade. Satt wurden wir von den Mini Portionen auch nicht. Das 2. Brot nahmen wir dankend an. Aber für den Preis sollte mehr als Brot drin sein.  Das Menü am 2. Abend war ausgezeichnet!! Die Desserts waren hervorragend! Aber wieder zu wenig.  Service dauert sehr lange. Kellner: da gibt es 2 Sorten: jene die ihre Arbeit verstehen und sehr gut machen, sehr bemüht sind, freundlich, zuvorkommend und auf der Seite des Kunden stehen und dann gibt es jene, die nicht einmal in der Lage sind, sich die3 Gänge in Englisch zu merken und sie dem Gast zu erklären. Weniger Zeit in Schminke und künstliche Wimpern investieren und die Zeit zum lernen der Komponenten nutzen, das würde dem Gast mehr Freude bereiten. Sauna: erste Sahne!! Da kommt keiner zu kurz! Wir waren vom 03.10. - 04.10.2024 bereits das zweite mal im Hotel und in der Therme. Der damalige Besuch hat uns sehr gefallen, darum haben wir erneut hier eingecheckt. Das Hotel, die Therme und auch die Gastronomie haben uns überzeugt. Die Saunen, die Pools, wie auch der Saunagarten sind einmalig. Hier kann man die Auszeit sehr genießen. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und zum großen Teil auch deutschsprachig. In der Therme gibt es keinen Stillstand. Renovierungen 8und Neugestaltungen werden permanent und ohne große Belästigung durchgeführt. Sehr lobenswert zu erwähnen ist auch die Küche. Das Überraschungsmenü hat unsere Erwartungen noch übertroffen. Wir haben bereits wieder reserviert. ;-)
