This places deserves SIX stars! Dynamite location, secluded and private but minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes Nat’l Park. Gorgeous room, incredibly generous amenities (fruit, coffee, pastries, drinks, snacks), spectacular hot tub, jacuzzi tub, romantic setting, and they’ll do laundry for you. Wow The hosts are so friendly, with plenty of local knowledge. We stayed for 2 nights and wished we’d planned for longer!

This beautifully designed accommodation was a dream! Every detail was thoughtfully crafted, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The hot tub was a highlight—perfect for relaxing after exploring. The location is ideal, just minutes from Volcano National Park, making it easy to visit at any time of day. Highly recommended

The Craters Edge is very well located in the Nogorongoro Crater - fairly easy to get into the Crater which is very interesting. There are lots of animals. The staff at the lodge were great - very friendly. Food was delicious with lots of choices. The surroundings were lovely with comfortable rooms.

This is the second time we have stayed At the Craters Edge, which was as wonderful as the first time we stayed. Eric and Chris are fantastic hosts. I believe they have thought of every little thing you could need. This is not a hotel it is a beautiful quiet nook. If you are looking for the usual hotel stay this is not for you. My husband and I love finding unique places and this is one.

This is the nicest B+B we've ever stayed at. The bedroom is so pretty and well appointed. The bed is so comfortable that we didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. A nice fruit bowl is on the table. Umbrellas and flashlights are available to borrow. A small breakfast area with microwave, small fridge filled with water and juice, milk, pop. A regular breakfast is not served except for fruit, cereal, and lots of snacks. The bathroom is a luxury rarely found in B+B's. Spa tub with spa table that fits across the tub. The spa table has an area for a wine glass, and an area for a book. We will definitely stay here again. The owners are super nice and the gardens are beautiful!

The property and the owners are nice, but they lied about having a functional hot tub -- the biggest reason we selected this property. This is one of the most expensive rentals on the volcano but they they didn't offer any discount or apology.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We loved our room and the amenities were outstanding. Juice in the fridge, lots of snacks, fruit, and cereal. (we don't eat cereal because of high sugar content). The bed was incredibly comfortable and had a heated mattress cover. I loved that. The bathroom is incredible. Beautiful walk in shower, with a lava stone floor. Bidet that could almost launch you to the moon, it is so powerful! The spa tub is so comfortable and warm after a cold night viewing the lava. (We were wet). There was only one issue that we found difficult. There are zero lights in the trees to find your way to your car, if you want to go see lava after dark, it is pitch black from the stairs to your car; that is very dangerous. Lights could easily be anchored to the trees. We will definitely be staying here again.

There is no breakfast offered, which we find very disappointing. Most B&B's have breakfasts. Otherwise it is just a Bed, no breakfast. The owners are very nice, we enjoyed the time we had with them. The other "problem" was the fact that if you want to go see lava after dark, it is pitch black from your room to your car, that is very dangerous. Lights could easily be anchored to the trees.

We spent two nights in this beautiful jungle oasis on our 30th anniversary trip. We're not usually B&B fans but this one exceeded our expectations. The hosts have anticipated every possible need. The bed is high? Don't worry, there are stools to help you get up. Snacks for your hike and breakfast goodies? They're on it. Chilly at night? A fireplace to warm you up. Super comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. The only downside of our stay was that the hot tub was out of service. Very convenient to the national park and just about 45 minutes from Hilo.
