I don’t often write reviews, but feel compelled in this case to save others from making a mistake. The ”cottage” which is actually more of an apartment, is infested with cockroaches. Additionally, stepping into the room you are hit with the strong odor of mildew - very musty. Then within minutes of entering the room, the largest cockroach I have ever seen, ran up the wall behind the headboard. It stayed on the wall the entire time we packed to leave the room. I contacted the manager to return the key and he offered to refund us for the stay. He said it would take few days to process. One month later, I have not received the refund and the manager refuses to respond. I must also note that the location of this hotel is in a bad area. There are many people hanging out on the street smoking, drinking, etc and outdoor bars on the block with loud music late at night. I cannot more strongly advise you to avoid this place at all costs.

My mother in law was trying to do something special for my kids while in town and misread some of the info on this website. She is elderly and has dementia and a lot of times not is not sure of what she is doing. She booked here not fully understanding their policies because of her illness and this place has been nothing but rude and belittling to her. She has broken down because they will not refund her money. They are taking advantage of someone who is not in her right mind fully right now and who is declining in health. To be so cold hearted and empty treating a customer like this is absolutely disgusting behavior. I DO NOT recommend this place. Please steer clear and DO NOT waste your time. There are plenty of other places in VA Beach that I am positive that will treat people with kindness love respect and generosity. Again DO NOT GO HERE!! My mother in law is so broken right now with how she is being treated already going through a hard time in her life.

The staff was amazing! They were making jokes with my kids and was really kind! The room was clean and so cute! The only thing I wish was different is a broom and dust pan in the room to keep the sand swept up. I know not everyone will use it but we sure would have. We will not use any other location for Virginia Beach! The simple walk of 1.5 blocks to the beach was great! It is basically right beside everything you need or want to do! Everything was absolutely perfect!

Family run business where the family is on site and care about your experience. Very clean, safe, affordable lodgings that are close to the beach, boardwalk and good restaurants. Easy to find and access.
