Ut Trinh Homestay

We had the loveliest time. A walk round the village was so interesting. Cooking the food alongside the people who work there was fun and the food was honestly the best I have tasted in Vietnam, and I have not had a bad meal yet so that says a lot. The rooms were delightful, the outdoor bathroom was so nice. The bed was quite hard and I'm used to sleeping with a quilt even in the heat but I appreciated that the whole stay is authentic. Probably one of the most relaxing couple of days spent in our 3 weeks touring Vietnam. The family who own it came and toasted our health and the staff there were wonderful

On a trip with so many lovely experiences, this home stay was the highlight. Upon arrival, it looks quite rustic, but the private rooms have fans, a/c and mosquito netting. Private outdoor shower and w/c are a treat. Most importantly, the people who work here are wonderful. They let us into the kitchen to cook and were very attentive to our needs. Standards are different from what we see in the west, but that’s why I travel, to experience different things.

Ut Trinh Homestay Vinh Long was our first night accommodation of our 4 days, 3 night bike tour. Overall the place was alright. Not 5 star worthy due to the host having a bit of an attitude towards my wife and I for having a late dinner. We were the only one staying as it was a private bike tour so she should learn to accommodate and adjust to guests requests. I can understand the cabin designs to be connected with nature but the bathroom itself having open walls allowed mosquitos to fly into the cabin despite having the nets over the bed. The Vietnamese food was mediocre at best compared to many other places of similar dishes served. The highlight of this place is really the Koi Fish pond as you walk over the small bridge towards your cabins. This to me was impressive and the size of them too as seen in the pictures. With this in mind and the bike tour adventure, I've rated my experience 3 out of 5 stars.

This place is what a homestay should be. Hosts super nice, very confy athmosphere, clean rooms, authentic local experience. Food is amazing. You can use the bycicle on your own to explore the surrouinding. I would reccommend to book a tour through the homestay, they will give you excellent service. One of my best staying in 15 days in Vietnam!
