First class hotel: Every feature was excellent: reception, room service and facilities all worked very well. Thank you. They even helped to park my bike in their garage . PS:The best power showers in any hotel ( or apartment ) I have ever stayed in!

This hotel is located on the less busy side of the river, absolutely beautifully maintained area with lots of really nice restaurants. What a fabulous friendly little hotel, great breakfast, clean quiet rooms. Really nice touch that coffee juice water and home made biscuits are available throughout the day to help yourself to. Parking wasn’t an issue, we were lucky enough to find a space on the street but there is a large parking lot very nearby. Highly recommend

Firstly, apologies to Stéphane, Serena and the team for taking so long to put this review up! My husband and I stayed 6 nights in a gorgeous room just by the breakfast room in October 2023. This Hotel and the team of people who run it are amazing, as is the attention to detail with everything to make guests stays here special. We were so well looked after, it was a highlight of our 9 weeks in France. In a perfect spot in Villeneuve lès Avignon just across the river from Avignon but much quieter and less touristy. Plenty of good restaurants and shops close by, a fabulous market once a week, close to the bus to Avignon. We loved our time here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. And the breakfast was amazing, best of all, it doesn’t finish till everyone has eaten. Just perfect.

When we first decided to spend a few days in Avignon, we began looking at hotels within the walled city but could not find one to our liking, with character and availability. Once we expanded our search to the other side of the river, and Villeneuve-les Avignon, we discovered a quieter area and this amazing Hotel de l'Atelier - it was a true gem! With the idiosyncrasies of any 300 year old building (sometimes crooked floors and off kilter doors) it also has all the historic charm of a building of that era. If this isn't your thing, by all means book a room at the Holiday Inn for twice the price and pretend you are in any city anywhere in the world. But if you want to feel like you are truly in Provence, this is the perfect spot! True, the hotel does not have an elevator, but it does have staff that did not let us carry any bags upstairs to the third floor ourselves...or downstairs again when we left! True, the hotel fixtures are a bit dated but oh the history that shines through!! The important things worked with no problems: modern plumbing, air conditioning, cleaning services... We have never felt as welcomed in a large luxury hotel, as we did at Hotel de l"Atelier! And let me add that the overall pervading fragrance of this hotel is butter!!! They (and by they I mean the owner and almost all the staff who work there) bake all their own amazing breakfast creations (apple tarts, croissants, coffee cake...about seven or eight different things every morning) from scratch daily!!!! Cappuccino? No problem! Perfect soft boiled eggs? They got you!! After spending several days wandering the walled city, taking in the history, we were always relieved to return to this sanctuary in Villeneuve-les-Avignon. We will always be happy we made this choice and hope to return one day!

Fabulous! Every room is charming, comfortable, historic. If stairs are an issue for you ask for one of the ground floor rooms - you might even get one with direct access to the rear garden, very relaxing. Staff so helpful and welcoming. Great breakfast spread (some leftovers are available throughout the day for snacking). Close to everything in this beautiful village. Didn’t want to leave.

 We stayed three nights in this charming hotel when visiting Avignon. The hotel is small, relaxed and “shabby chic” in a good way as it lends to the relaxed Provençal atmosphere. We had a large triple room, with French doors opening onto the garden, and a private terrace. Our room was very quiete being at the back of the hotel at the back of the hotel.The bathroom was large with an excellent powerful shower.Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well tended. The staff were all friendly and helpful and made recommendations of restaurants and places to visit in the area. The cleaning and waiting staff were also charming and the whole place was welcoming and friendly. The hotel is located on Villeneuve Lez Avignon which is a very beautiful small town. It is a five minute drive, over the bridge, to Avignon, so very close to the main sites of interest. An excellent breakfast was included in our very reasonable room rate. Highly recommended!
